OMG Kathy, your DH has to have knee surgery because of the incident on the plane? I would surely try to get some sort of compensation for that, even if it's just free tickets, as I am sure you have insurance. So sorry you are having all these issues with your AC. Maybe you could look online, to see if there are a lot of complaints and then see what others are doing? Did you hear back from the doc? Good job on the packing........Pants, get Wawa a very huge Seagrams n diet pweeze. And make it one that won't hoyt her tummy.

Mema, they call that Xerscaping. How big is the area? I'm sure if you went to a local nursery, they would be able to help you, more than I could. I can just think of some things that they grow in Phoenix. Some would be, lantana, bogenvia, oleanders, (I'm sure I'm not spelling these right). So sawry bout da docs and I too hope you find someone. Whatever happened with CTCA?

QUICK helloooooooo! Read some, but had to really skim fast, as I have lots to do. Cannot believe my DD is traveling w/ such a small check-in-bag...it is gorgeous and she has all these coordinating fabric pouches for eberythin! Anyway, had her put a few of my heavy things in her tiny bag, so I could get it under 50 lbs! Cuz I have anudder suitcase inside, so we will have room to bwing things back....so it WUZ heavy! But since we return via 1st class, we can bring heavier stuff and 3 checked bags ea...yippee! Prob is, the flt to Madeira, I had to pay for bags, so we are only checking in 1 ea, and has to be under 44 lbs ea. ANYWAY, youse don't wanna hear dat chit. I goofed BIG TIME yesterday! The plane from ATL to Amsterdam (8.5 hrs) was mostly empty so I got us seats in the very back, huge plane...got us both aisles so we would have all 3 seats and could visit, sleep, etc. THEN when I double checked last night the dang plane is FULL...I mean only 1 seat left. WTF????? SO now we are not even sitting together...and she had wanted a window seat and now has an aisle, thanks to her momma! She is not upset at me though, and I talked (begged) with Delta for a couple hrs last night trying to get on diff flight, but since used miles, no such luck. AArrrggghhhhh... BUT we WILL have a blast, just gotta get past that long flt on a crowded plane...hope to get SOME rest so we can do Amsterdam right after that, and before going to Lisbon that night.

I am here for de party, sorry I is late, I had to take de bus, damn UFO.
I am not doing so great, had to leave work just before noon today and all my loans are blowing up as we speak. For the first time in 10 years, I ate breakfast from our company caf and got so sick. I only had a bagel but I think the margarine I used was bad. Ick. Never ever again. I tink it was a comination of stress and the greasey margaine dat I taught was butter when I got it. I should have used de little pats of butter instead of de community butter which was icky margarine. De dwinks hab calmed me stomach but my noyves are still frayed. I have over 100 emails at work and my people are not so happy with me right now. Oh well, dis too shall pass and dis is a widdle ting when looking at de grand scheme of life.
NM, I will be slow in bashing your doc, I have only done two so far. It is a pleasure helping to take dis doctor down. I can't believe that you are not getting a response on that situation and that this nasty SOB is still practicing. I hate him. Glad your tiller started, yippee, I will dwink to dat.

It is too HOT out for my likings.....high 70's...and will be like this all week-end...no snow in sight....may turn out to be the driest March on record.
My gf is coming for dinner tonight and tomorrow for lunch another gf and her DH and DD are coming...this friend is whose house I stayed at in Israel last year....She works here but spends her off time in Israel....she moved to Israel a couple years ago.....Most of my dinner is up....but have to make salads.....and need to clean up....have a fan turned on and the A/C in the family room is cyling on and off....Candle lighting is in about an hour....so need to go finish up...then its time to pour a glass of wine...See you tomorrow night....

NM - Spring in Maine looks a lot like spring here, lotta mud and yuck! Hey, I took a pic of my skiis. DH and I got dese at Play It Again Sports a hundred years ago. They are for groomed trails, but I've used dem to groom my own. I would love some mountaineering ones but these have been great for a long time and they really cost peanuts. My boots are newer and real nice Alpinas but cost was under $50. I used to do more hills but now mostly just go on flat terrain cuz I too skeert to fall down and break one of me old bones. So it's like skating kinda and good aerobic exercise and IMHO very fun. Plus you can go your own speed and you can just stop and enjoy being outdoors. Not so hard on da bones as running eider. I would love to teeech!! It is a lot like snowshoeing but more slippy. Wif da poles tho I feel like pretty stable. Love the tandum skiis!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the DOTD!!! UFO's all around, great choice!!!

I guess Katwinka is landed? I wuz tinking about her as I laid in my comfy bed dis morning. I did not want to git my arse outta dat bed and just laid dere for an hour or so jusst tinking.
Well I has to go to de pool store with a sample of de pool water. I had de pool boys pop de cover off on Humpdey and de water is really quite nice, the clearest it has been ebber at opening. I can see de bottom of de pool. I tink it because I did not close it until late Oct. And de water temp is not bad. I will know what it is later todey once I bwing de level all de way up to start filtering. I learned how to do dat myself last year and was so proud of mese when I did de start up meself. I saved a few hudrend bucks, it only cost me 90.00 for a service call to have the cover off. I get so sick of dat ugly green cover dat I can't stand it. I hope to have some poolside fires soon, yese can all join mese, okey? Off I go to see de pool doctor. I will hab to tail you about him sometime, we call him teefers! He is not easy to watch when he does his scientific chemical anaylsis. I tail ya after I dwink, okey?

I bought de cutliest little fountain dat I hook up from the outake and can't wait to git my water sparking clear so dat I can enjoy my newest toy. Owning a pool is fer rich peeeples and I am far from rich but I make odder sacrifices so dat mese can afford to maintain de pool. Who wants to come and swim with me? I has free memberships to mese stupid klub for all me goils here. I hope dat Lisa can come for a swim once it gets warmer. Dat would be sew fun!
We have been having record warmth in this area, it has hit 70 all week and went to 80 yesterdey. We have had early spring blizzards dis time in years past. It is wild and crazy and I am not complaining.

YAY! I found a Dum Dum Cocktail!!!
DUM DUM COCKTAIL
INGREDIENTS:
- 750 ml of your choice vodka or coconut rum
- 3 (8 ounce) cans frozen orange juice concentrate (unthawed)
- 1 liter pineapple juice
- 3 (8 ounce) cans frozen pink lemonade concentrate (unthawed)
- 1 cup water
- 7-Up
DIRECTIONS:
- In a very large plastic air tight container add all ingredients making sure the liquid mixture is well mixed.
- Place container in freezer for a minimum 24 hours. (Ha! Better get anudder dwink on hand while you is waiting.)
- Once every hour throughout the 24 hour period periodically stir well allowing vodka to blend well. (No prob since you were proly not sleeping anyway.)
- When you're ready to serve, spoon frozen slush into a tall glass filling 1/2 to 3/4 full. Top off with chilled 7 up and mix. Garnish with orange slices, pineapple wedges and Dum Dums.
- Drink really fast! (did ya get one of those ice cream headaches??)
And what goes good wif Dum Dum's? Yeah, Tootsie Roll Pops!

Enjoying the patio with a Diet Pepsi (will save booze for tonight's BBQ-haha) my iPad and a book to read. But just found out it is 81 in Nebraska and 81 in Phoenix! Does that seem fair? Just know we still have an early spring Nebraska blizzard in the works but forecast says 80 all week! goofy weather! Going to a dinnr theatre tomorrow and will probably go see Hunger Games. Wish I would have read the book first, anybody read or seen it yet? Hands are swelling up a bit, not here why. Guess I need to drink more!
