Good morning ladies, hope you all had a great weekend and off to a good start this week. My weekend was a bit sad, another friend of mine from my hometown has been diagnosed, not sure if I told you all this or not, I sent all my head coverings and wigs I wish I could do more I really hate this rat &^%$#@%^ makes me so angry.....I will not focus on it though because I refuse to have it rule my life. Just needed a little vent....other than that things are going well

I'm sitting here now with mixed feelings. I got a call from the patient rep, my complaint had been forwarded to the Medical Director who has spoken with the 3 ER docs, none of whom owned up to making the "Damned cancer patient" remark (big surprise). The Director is going to give a talk about the fealings that not being able to breathe creates, sort of a "sensitivity training" as the patient rep put it. She said the Medical Director was very sorry about what happened and they want me to come back to getting care there. I told the rep that it was going to take a lot to get me back in the ER, and that I want a face to face with the doctors that were working that Sat. evening. she's going to set up a meeting with the Medical Director. I told her that I would meet with the Med. Director but I wanted face time with the ER docs, too. I plan to show up "dressed to impress" and genteely rip that ER doc a new one. I plan to talk to the Med Director about the floor doc that never examined me, and yelled down the hallway at me "You up walking? You go home!" too. Gonna get my say, and make sure EVERYONE involves understands how I felt and what I think about how I got treated. So feel like I'm getting my say (eventually) and that they think a third hand apology is going to fix things, which it isn't. AAARRRGGGHHHH, I need a dwinkie!

Kymn, so sorry about your friend. This probably sounds awful, but as bad as BC has become, am I the only one who looks at her circle of friends and thinks "who's next?".... Soooo sad.

Well, I guess I'm dwinkin all alone tonight. So I'll tells ya bout da trash run today. Okay, I did the usual can't sleep well thing...that is can't sleep well till time to get up. Kept trying to convince myself to get up at 5:45 am and how I got up I don't know, but anyway, I got some coffee (thank the Dear Lord for coffee!!) And got on my big down jacket, wool, hat, gloves, etc. Woke up Genevieve and took her outta da garage to warm up. Got all my survival gear loaded up. Then when me and Jenna were awake enuf I started down the road. My dwiveway is steep, so I started out slow wif da headlights on to see what it was gunna be like...All looked good, some snow/ice but a lotta gravel showing through. So I goes on down da drive, stops to open the gate. And start inchin me ways down da road. Dis is a 2 mile twip I'm trying to accomplish to drop one can 1/2 - 3/4 full of trash. Okay. I'm in 4WD and no chains, 1st gear going reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel slow down the road. I get about 300 yards from my dwiveway and chit, all 4 wheels break loose on da ice. It like a clean, smooth glacier of snow/ice cuz it rained yestersdey. So Jenna's rear starts going faster dan her front and we'z going about 45 deg to the road, then a lil more, we just slip sliding away! But, I have been thru dis so many times, I expert at which way to turn the Jenna wheel, so we sliding and trying to get straight on da rode and thank the Good Lord we jest stopped. Middle of da road and I sez we go home, fast. So I pointed her down past the real icy part to a safe spot to turn around and I was hoping to get BACK UP! Twas no prob, got back up and back to the ranch. So trash will hafta wait a week. I know there is a moral in here somewhere. If any of da dwinkin gals come back maybe we can figure out da message. NEway, dis is da last winter on Hoth so I'm enjoying it to the full extent. Ebberyday is an adventure. Only wish Stella would show up to hep me wash my Genevieve. She a mess.

I'm going to have to cut my time short here, I think. We are really starting to pick up with the business, plus we are going to add seeds and soil amendments to our site. Getting them from the company that I posted for you Beans. All organic, open pollenated, heirloom seeds. NO bad chit in dere. Da guy came to our house yesterday, and was telling us how the government allows those seed companies to say they are organic, but yet still lets them spray with chemicals (one time) The ones we are selling are 100% organic, nothing spayed on them EVER. And if you keep your seeds in the fridge, they should last like 4 years. Goverment MAKES them put expiration dates on them. This guy also told us that Miracle Grow (and the likes) are VERY VERY bad for you soil, and after a couple years of using it, you totally ruin your soil and take all da good stuff out of it.
I'm thinking of asking the moderators if I can make a post, plugging our website and these seeds and soil amendments. Grow healthy, eat healthy!

Bom Dia!
Have very limited time for internet, even after we bought 3 days worth of time, we have been on the go. Having a wonderful time, nice weather, good food, friendly locals, etc. Tomorrow we will have a full-day tour of the west side of the island, coming back thru the mountains in the middle which are so high, and weather is usually cold up there. Tonight we found a cute place to eat on a back street, and the espada (scabbard fish) was sooooo good there! And after dinner the owner brought us each a small glass of Madeira wine, gratis. So far I have had espada every day, in Madeira, but this was the best! We are walking TONS, my DD even got up early to go running down the streets.
Cannot believe I am already 3 1/2 pages behind, but will have to wait until I return. Also cannot believe we just have 3 more days in Madeira! I could spend a month here, easily. Hoping for nice weather for our day in Lisbon when we leave here, but looks like it may rain. Won't get home till late on the 2nd. I HOPE everyone is doing well, and hate that I cannot ketchup yet. I have been toasting all you girls, with liquers, poncha, Super Bock beer, and several different wines.......wish you were all here too, we would have a blast!
Chrissy, best to you for your knee surgery. You will have thoughts and prayers coming to you from all over the world!

I truly felt like a lush buying 1.5L wine bottles at Sam's Club but I'm on a budget.....
Been busy, too busy to read, so "hello" to all and I hope everyone is well.
My mom is laid up with rehab from knee replacement surgery so I have her dog for a week or two. I am off work until she gets sprung out of there and then it's back to workworkwork to make up for my time off. (ugh!!!) My stress level has been high, hence the 1.5L bottles. lol. (j/k)
I brought back some (possibly) excellent scotch from England for my aunt to auction off at some auction thing (???) and I'm very curious as to what she'll get for it. I hauled it all the way across the pond and had many requests to share it (and wanted to keep it for myself!) but it's for a good cause so I gave her the 2 bottles unopened. I think I should get at least a tip for that? hahaha
I've recently passed my 6 year post-lumpectomy surgery - yea! I will assume I'm fine as I no longer have an oncologist. Over the years they've all left me so I'll take that as a good sign.
Avery is growing and now says she's "five and a HALF!" Oh, that "half" is SO important to kids! I'm 51 and a HALF and just call it "almost 52." lol.
