Openheart awesome news......I love to hear good things!

You guys were awfully loud today, must have been all that eye candy and trying to steal them from Tink as we all know she loves to hog them for herself.....ha ha

Anyway, scheduled for another endoscopy tomorrow, so only time will tell.  Also trying to get me in for a ct scan as he said my ulcers should have been gone last year as they were healing.  So I should have some results tomorrow.  So pocket party again tomorrow ladies.....

Hope everyone is having a fun filled Thursday.  Oh and Paula, loved the eye candy, you ROCK!!!

    Hi Warriors,

I guess I have to join in on these pocket parties.  You ladies are a blast and I am so so glad to have found this board.

Thanks to everyone for their words of encouragement, support and sharing of their stories.

I am trying not to think about my situation.  The waiting is awful but I try to keep busy.

Mumito, did you have your biopsy yet?  It seems the week is dragging for me.

I am very angry with my GYN.  In January, I went to her for a complete check up and thought she had done the yearly pap.  She informed me yesterday that she only did cultures because the insurance only pays for it every 2 years - according to ACOG guidelines.  I asked her if she did not think that I needed one given my history?  She said since my HPV was negative, there was no need.  I am appalled.  I thought she would have tried to get an override or write letter of medical necessity given my situation.  So, I am here thinking that my last pap was 16 months ago.  16 months ago.

5 months ago, the cysts I had disappeared. At least that is what the transvag US showed.  Could they be back I wonder.  I ask myself made it so difficult for her to do the endo biopsy.  After reading your post Heartnsoul176, I calmed down.  Thanks.

Sorry for ranting ladies.  Hugs to all of you -- especially Sherryc.  Hope you are taking it easy tody.  Thanks for the reassurance, prays, etc.  I am glad I found this site.

June I am in for the pocket party.

Ladies doing much better today. Funny how you can overdue it so easily. Did go for a walk this AM as my PS wants be to start back to get my strength back up. Funny how fast you can loose it. Anyway ran into my sweet niece who is in Jr. High and she was out walking with the school nurse because she is diabetic and on a pump now and her blood sugars where high so they were trying to get them lowered. She seemed surprised I had walked so far but really surprised when I told her what my normal is. So going to take it easy the rest of the day so I don't overdue it again.

Linda my hot flashes have stopped altogether. Seems all my SE's have gone away. Going to be hard to get back on this little white pill.

I just finished chemo January 31. I'm on week 8 of tamoxifen. For those of you who had your period return, how long did it take? I haven't had a period since my first chemo infusion. If they did return were they different? The same?

    Thanks!

Loved today's pocket party gals and the men were everywhere even the nurses were partying.....ha ha.

Ok so on a serious note no more ulcers completely gone and they are now scheduling me for a CT scan and then a colonscopy.....yipee, lucky me.  It has to be something as I have been off this pill for a month and this morning I woke up in so much pain I was crying.  I am not a crier, especially over pain so WTH!!!!  I hate waiting as I am sure we all do, but we do leave for Florida next Wednesday and I was hoping for some news.  They did put me on something to relax my colon as they think I be having spasms......My nurse was wonderful and we bonded big time as she was diagnosed last year herself and tried Tamox and couldn't handle it, so after 4 months and she felt like a Mack truck hit her, so she got off.  It was so nice having someone to talk to.

Anyways ladies those men made me so tired......I used up all the energy I had to play so I am off for a nap........love ya all!

June -- I am not a doctor by any means but ... my sister has been having trouble and she was just diagnosed with Diverticulosis -- this was after a colonoscopy -- I have attached a link for you to read.  Good luck -- constipation on it's own is painful.

    HI Warriors:

GOOD News.  Got the results of my endo bx and GYN says its normal.  I am at work so I do not have time to write details.  Recommends hysterectomy.  Would love to hear from you gals with a similar hx, etc.  Thanks.    Although I am relieved, I plan to change my gyn?  I need to feel comfortable with my team.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Happy for your good news Allenan.

June...I am hoping that you get answers and relief very soon.  I hate to hear that you were crying from pain.  That just su_ks big time!  I hope that the meds they gave you bring you some relief. Those cutie hunks frolicking around in your pockets might take your mind off the pain for a little while at least.  Get some rest this weekend and try not to worry.

    Hi Ladies,

Juat saw this thread and maybe someone on this thread will have the answer to my question.  I am taking tamox now for several years.  Is there any kind of OTC allergy med you can safely take with the Tamox.?   This spring season is killing me....

    Thanks, ya'll.!!!

Kathy I now that claritin and zyrtec are ok to take

June I sure hope they figure out what is going on with you.  I hate you being so miserable

Allenan I had my uterus removed when I wa 32, I am now 49.  Was finished having children and I was miserable so it was the one of the best things I ever did.  I still have my ovaries and they are working just fine.  No sight of menopause soon.

Ok ladies I am having a dilemma.  I have been on tammi for 1 year and have been off of it for 4 weeks.  Have two more weeks before I have to start taking it again.  The problem is that I feel so good off of it I don't want to start taking it again.  Since being off of it.  I have no joint pain so I do not need my Celebrex, Do not have insomnia so do not need my sleeping pills, No hot flashes, No stomach issues so do not need my prilosec.  And now I realize that I have been having anxiety and slight depression that I did not realize until I am clear headed.  DH and I had a long talk about it today and he says he can tell that I feel so much better despite I am recovering from a BMX.  He does not think I should go back on it.  He thinks it is ridiculous that I take three medications and probably need Effexor just to counteract the tammoxifen.  He said it was my decision but wants me to have a real heart to heart with my MO about it.  I am only about 60% ER positive so I have always wondered how much good tammi is really doing me anyway.  I wonder if having my ovaries removed and then taking some natural supplements like DIM or IC3 to suppress my estrogen might be a better option for me.  I see my MO again in May and not sure I am going to start my tamoxifen before I see him.  I like my old self too much.

Sherry - At some point quality of life issues supersedes the medication.  I know of many who are also ER+ and went off of it for some of the very reasons you are talking about.  Your MO is not going to be happy but hope at the same time he can understand your reasoning.  I also felt much better when I stopped taking mine.  I am 100%  ER/PR positive - so I think I should at least try to get through the rest of my time.  I don't think having your ovaries removed will make a difference but it is always good to ask about that.

My MO told me that taking my ovaries out wouldn't change my ER+ or PR+; that our bodies make estrogen in other ways and that a hysterectomy was how BC used to be treated before they understood more about how the disease fuels itself.  She told me that Tamoxifen doesn't change my estrogen level, but that it inhibit the way any latent cancer cells looking for fuel can use my estrogen;  They won't be able to bind to the estrogen and will eventually not have any fuel and starve, shrivel up and die:  Take That You Stinkin' Cancer!

Congrats on the good news Allenan!

Sherry - I totally agree with hubby. Taking 3 meds to counteract SE of one is ridiculous. Glad he is supportive and hope you are recuperating well.

June - I sure hope they get this figured out & fixed like NOW!!!  I hate to hear you are in such pain and pray you feel better soon....

Welcome Kathy. And to all my Tammi sistas,  ((( HUGS)))
