Mornin goils...lovely time at the HTL last night....Thanks Dorty for sending Stella..so far so good ... she has been a delight but not sure how much longer I can hold her off though she has been asking me to point her in the direction of the slot machines..
Juliet...I grabbed my Hurricane guide just to check and make sure I really did see pudding and its right there on the list of Must-Have Supplies...Crackers/Cookies, Coffee and Tea, Disinfectant, Cereal, Pudding and rain gear..funny hu?? Better go out and get a supply of pudding and throw in a couple jello's just in case.....hey..not a bad Idea...Jello shots anyone??
NM....Im going to mention today when I go in about the pain and see if she cant perscribe at least something for sleep...I've been a good girl and done all she said..wrapping it in wet/salty cloths and slathering that silvadene...I cut up an old while tee shirt and tucked it up under there to absorb some of the mositure....and it stuck to my skin..or whats left of my skin when I took it off and it looked to me as if it was oozing...tmi?? Just gross.

Well, busy day for me, after the long weekend. DH is thinking about telling our friend/partner today that we are bringing the business back here. Oh yes, Lori, Hope DH takes your advise and waits till AFTER UPS picks up the packages. Really sad how the friend/partner has done....will be nice when the business is right by you and you can keep an eye on things. Will be thinking of you, and hoping this all goes well.
Juliet and CynCyn, you two don't live THAT far apart! Maybe you can get together some day. I just looked at how far you are from LongBoat Key, as we will be there in Sept, and if it works out, maybe we all could meet up in Venice? Right now I can't make plans though as we are going to visit with my relatives a lot, and also not sure if my parents will be joining us there, or if their health will be ok that we can even make that trip. But, something to think about!

NM, yeah, my dad's stepson called me after I emailed him, and said he would keep me updated. Yay! They care so much for both my dad and my mom. MY dad was married to their mom for years (she was a biotch to us though), and took care of her till bc took her, but my dad also always did so much for all her sons. And they try to look after them as much as possible now....of course my dad always takes them all out to eat at the Country Club, often. And OMG the country club in Lanikai is in the most beautiful setting!!! So glad Sadie enjoys the fenced yard so much! Our fence is wood, so can't plant stuff in front of it real well, since it gets so shaded. Still gets so hot here, so unless we water constantly, gotta put stuff that can tolerate heat/drought. But we do have lots of trees at fence line, all around the yard. OMG our 2 large fig trees are covered with green figs right now!! Can't wait till they ripen.
You goils had so much fun last night!!! I read posts, but was bizzy, so didn't get to join the partay. But I was there in spirit (or spirits??). Funny, as I was going through paperwork, found a fancy certificate from Jim Beam, seems like I went thru their online course a long time ago! Dorkie, yeah, that sure was hot yesterday!! AND those stink bugs land on you????? Yucko! We have them here (not so bad though) and I never had one land on me. Did get a skeeter bite yesterday though, so guess they are in full force now. Love it when the "lightning bugs" show up....never had them in HI, so I think they're neat. When my DH was a kid, he and his friends used to collect them in jars and got PAID for them...some research was going on. He also grew up in the "secret city" that wasn't even on the map for yrs, and they had to go thru security to get to their homes. I wish his DD was interested in all that history, as I find it so fascinating.
Juliet, and NM, love all the funneee pics! Juliet, you can cry at the wedding, and I will eat the wedding cake while no one is looking! I love wedding cake! We will have to have virtual cake and bubbly during Unde's vow renewal.

Hi girls! Sorry I've been gone for so long. I had surgery 2 weeks ago on my stupid radiated foob. It's a small improvement. I see the PS tomorrow as I feel it is hardening up again. When does this crap ever end???
I'm trying to get used to this new format. I made some changes on my signature and it scares me to see how many procedures I've had. LOL!

The radiation really messed things up. I already had reconstructive surgery, but the radiation made the tissue harden up and cause capusular contracture. I hope my PS gives me some solutions and hope tomorrow. I'm so done with surgeries!!!

So nice to see so many of you in de lounge today and also over the weekend. We sure had quite the party last night, I had fun. But those stink bugs drove me out of my mind. They target me and no one else. Steve can pick them up and move them and not get stunk up. He can not even smell them. I had never seen one until about five years ago.They terrorize me to no end. I hate them so much. I can not belive it but after I dumped one and made a glass of water, I then took a swig and there was one in the cup and it got in my mouth. So that was two assaults in one night on my drinks alone! I spit it out then hit the damn thing with wasp spray (I was on my deck). They are the most disgusting things and make me so jumpy when they are buzzing around waiting to stink dive on my head or my body and now into my drink. I am not making this up, it is so weird how they terrorize me.
Love that we have adopted Julia's swamp land for any loungettes that need to be rid of toxic people. Reminds me, there is another forum here on BCO with a big bon fire where girls toss about anything in there including people. How about we start one of those big a$$ fires outside the lounge?

Katwinka, I will be saying prayers for your Dad. I am really glad that the step-son is communicating with you now. That must be such a relief. And it is another hot one here, currently at 90 degrees. DH just put together a fountain for the pool that I bought when I opened it. It is so cool and will light up at night. The thing shoots up about ten feet and is really nice to watch (from the house right now). Looking forward to going outside tonight and having some drinks and portending I am at a resort.
Kitty Kat, I love your avatar, such a great photo of you. Sorry to hear you had more surgery. That is quite a list you have there. I counted and you have had 11 procedures, that is the same number as I have had. It is always nice to see you pop in when you can.

ANYWAY, another saga...remember first I was told my dad went to the hospital Saturday, then was told he was seeing the dr today. WELL, my dad wrote that he didn't even have an appt yet....so now *in his words*, he has an appt Fri with the same dr that cut out a big, deep area on his leg a few mo ago. Then, surg on June 11...the day I will be with my bro in CA. He hates waiting sooooo long, but when he sees the dr on Fri, if he is not given an early surg appt, then I won't be as worried.
Bernie, SOOOOO gwad youse is BAACCKKKKK! Yeah, "me time" is very needed some times. And you had so much happen, to have to deal with. Here, a nice glass of Cab for you.....!

Dorkie, WOW, would love to see your fountain! That is really neat. Maybe you can take a night picture of it? And so very glad you added that bonfire! Do you have "chiggers" up there? They are horrid....usually get them on you from the grass...and they get under your skin and are soooooo itchy!!!! I know they are all over the south, but not sure if all over the US.

CynCyn, I know exactly what you are talking about. I went out and bought some front close, soft cup bras, cheap ones from WalMart, and used those to hold the dressing in place and help sop up extra drainage. It, too, stuck to my weeping, raw skin, no matter how much silvadene I put on. I would have to change bras and dressings every few hours. After a while I started standing in the shower and pouring water over the whole mess to get the stuff off without making me cry or scream with pain. Please do get something for pain, you will need it soon, not just at night to sleep. I have since learned that when the skin gets that badly burnt (although I was scolded for calling it a burn, radiation treatments 'never' burn anymore, the worst you get is a radiation dermatitis, which is total bu##shit) the nerves and blood vessels are being damaged as well and increases the chance that a person will have permanent pain after treatment, like I did. I wish I knew then that I needed to ask to stop treatment early, before permanent damage was done, but I didn't. Wound up having a mastectomy to stop the pain and because the abscesses wouldn't heal due to the radiation damage. Please have a long talk with your Rad Doc, be sure you aren't getting set up for long term problems like I was. Saving the breast isn't worth it if you end up having a mastectomy and needing months for that to heal because of over-radiation. Every woman gets the same dosage of radiation no matter what her size or past history of radiation exposure (for me that was mammograms starting in my 20's). The only difference is if they also irradiate the lymph nodes in the arm pit. Rad treatment hasn't changed significantly in decades, just small tweaks that don't make much difference. Did the Rad Onc tell you that having radiation does not mean you will live longer or go longer before a recurrence? I didn't find that out until after my treatment. I was so mad to find out that little bit of trivia.

Wahine--Having a dependable source of info will help your nerves, for sure! The fence now cuts across the middle of the side lawn, not were I want a line of trees, but a line of bushes would be nice, I'm thinking some wild roses, maybe some forsythia, and something that blooms or looks interesting in the fall so that there is something to look at year round. Or maybe I'll just plant some morning glory and let that do it's thing. Or some combo. Gotta do some thinking and planning, part of that fence line gets very wet in the spring and fall, even grass has trouble growing there, got a mossy type stuff mostly. I'll figure it out eventually.

Like when our Cyn is done with her rads and all healed, she can toss her burn cream in the fire. Goils have thrown drains in the fire, bras, husbands, you name it. If anyone in that forum claims we are stealing their idea, we can claim that Stella thought it up first hehe!

The info you shared with Cyn is great and I concur that she must ask for a narcotic for pain. I just can't imagine such a large area of the body all burnt up, it makes me cringe just thinking about it. And our Cyn is so brave, she hardly bitch about it.

Good evening.....lots to catch up on today it apears...very busy day at work for me all the way up till the end...non stop but tomoree is my TGIW bebbies..gets to get my party face on. Going to clean like a fiend the next couple of days in preperation of DS2's arrival..not that he cares but makes me feel better. Speaking of wich...no satisfaction at RO today..the jackass male tech was there todee...I want to show him Juliets swamp when this is all over..cant stand him and I think he can tell..just rude..no bed side manner ...jackass..oh I said that...well, he is I'll say it again..jackass...eney way not Dr at the RO center and no nurse either...I said I waited this long I can wait a little longer...one more day wont kill me...Thank you for all of the info NM...very enlightening to me..I didnt realize any of that..I cant imagine going thru all this just to have them take anyway and not because of bc right?? because of damage and pain?? wtf?? And listening to Kitty talk about her rads it seems like it did crazy bad chit to her too...I bought a bunch of old tee shirts at Goodwill and wear them at night with all my lube on my foobs so its ok if they get ruined...they only cost 1.56 a piece anyway. Durring the day I dont wear a bra..another great perk of working from home.
Well, I told my new bar tender friend Randy I would stop over at the bar for a drink or two tonight seeing that they are having a special closing party and will be the last night they are open for a week or so at the new location.but I've realized I just cant make plans further in advance than a few hours because Im just not up for it and that happens a lot.
Stella has been great so far...she wanted to kick tech boys a$$ today..she went with me to my rad appt and she didnt like him either...she thinks he's a jackass too...I think she may be catching on that she isnt in Vegas tho....So far no mole boy..but tonight will tell..I'll have to keep a good eye on her...I bought her a bottle of "artifical whip cream flavor " wodka..she seems to like it and I think after a couple more she may forget all about the slot machines. Lori, I think that would be great idea to take her to Disney wid us...Dorty...I may send for Stella in another month for her to come along and join the fun. Now, Lori..about this business partner...I think you should have all your ducks in a row before he gets pissed off and causes any problems for you..Im sure you will do whats best for you but people do crazy stuff when they are pissed enough. I agree we have our share of bugs and other things to deal with..those big roach looking things creap DS1 out so bad he wanted to bomb the house..I told him they arent like infestation roaches..they just get caught inside every now and then..the gekos get me...the get in here all the time..Im sure I co habitate with families of them living behind things and under things...ick...I know they dont hurt ya but they are creapy....Dorty and the stink bugs!!!!!!!!!! Now that just had me laughing all day long.....its like they have a personal vendetta out on you...a conspiracy to sabotage your evening last night..hope they leave you the hail alone tonight so you may enjoy your beautiful new fountian...and yes..pics please!! Love all the wedding talk..I love a good wedding...great excuse to get a good buzzz on and not look like a booze hag...hail...DILLIGAF....bring on the coldies!! Hi Cyn....hate that about that tech....sheesh.....why can't they be nice, be helpful, be caring, etc. OH YEAH, they aren't NM...shes da best, but really, can't they be a LITTLE bit nice???? Oh, I had read so much I foigot about the story of Mema wid her pants down, getting skeeter bit? Ouch!!!! Yuppers, I know about roaches and geckos....so many in HI. And they make those sounds at night when you think they aren't in the bedroom! Plus, when they get caught in a gate, then they grow more tails. Some older geckos would have so many stubs of tails on them! I won't even talk about the flying roaches....yikes!!!! Join me at Dorkie's pool!

DorKiest, I so sawry you habing problems wif the stink bugs. Sorry, but I am LMAO! We have them here, I see them on occasion, but never in flight. Had a few in the house, and when you pick them up to dispose of them, they let off their "stink". That is their defense mechanism, you know. Just like a skunk.
As for the fire, to throw things and people in, I think we had one at one time. Might have been Beans that started it, not sure. 90+ here today too, and I got a new fountain as well. Well, it's not new, but DH just hooked it up yesterday. It's in the Shady Lady, you should see it in the video. A bunch of barrels and it has lights too!!!! Glad you liked my idea of a Tender to carry you up the stairs. I'm hoping Bernie will take the same suggestion. (see my post to her)

Katwinka, youse can all cover ober to see de lighting of the fountain. In the real work, we are about to get hit with a pretty strong thunderstorm. Dere is a big system heading East and the winds are already ripping. Turned the pool filter off to ensure it does not get hit by lightening. But de virtual partay shall continue.
I may has bumped sumone cuz I started this awhile ago, had to stop to batten down de hatches and dwink up some Stella's. GREAT DOTB, bdw!
