Alli, if de lounge had flags, I'd say yese flagged for being dwunkly. Tank God nobuddy ebber gets flagged in de lounge. God is good, eh?
Cyn, how sweet that you are a pseudo daughter to your older friend. I also once had an older friend who was close in age to my parents. She was my naybor when I bought mese first home and I was single. We hit it off as friends and enjoying shopping, dining and jest hanging out. She was a berry cool lady. Her son was a few years older dan mese in high school. Well she was also taken by de rat bastard. I bremember berry clearly de foyst time she telled me that she ran over a parking ting, you know, those cememt tings dat we all hit now and den? Well she jumped it and nearly ran into de building of de pharmacy. Then she had an actual accident and I bremember her tailing me that she had no idea what was wrong with her but she was going to see de doctor. De dumbass doctor put her on anti depressants. Hell, dat seem to be de answer for eberyting when docs can't figure out what is wrong. I ended up getting a call from her DS telling me that she went to take a bath and had herself stuck in de tub, could not move to get out and was in there for nearly 24 hours before her son went to check on her. She was rushed to de hospital and diagosed with a malignant brain tumor which was inoperable. I was so sad, she did not make it long, she was gone within 3 months of the first signs that someting was wrong. God bless my lil angel, Shirley. Mese loved her so and still miss her -it has been 15 years or more. She was a very giving lady. She did not have any grandchildren so she spoiled my DD like a grandchild. My DD still has the cutelist lil jewelry box from Shirley. She will forebber be in mese heart. So yes, long story but I was related to your older friend. It is not typical to have friends from other generations but in our cases, they were great friends despite the age gap.
So I may has bumped one or two of yese goils but made sure not to spill enny dwinks. Cuz de tenders are moving slow dis ebening. Seems dey had dere hands full with that POS John Boy and his ho sister too. De lounge is taking applications for some hot security guys and goils too. Who wants to be in charge of interviewing de security applikents?
Well well well, mese ran outta tings to say. Cept dat I still love all yese and hope you are all having a great day. And fooygive me for not editing to shorten mese posts. Mese jest type like I's talking to yese and I do talk way too muchly for de liking of some people mese knows. So with dat said, I says one more werd.
Cheers!! and hugs too!
Oops, dat two werds. I can't count too goodly eidder.

Good Morning girls! It was lonely in here last night, I had to party all by meseself, dern it!
CynCyn, your friend sounds like a sweet lady, and how sad to lose her daughter to RB so young! I can't even imagine losing my child. Hope y'all have a nice lunch today, glad you're getting out of the house. How many more rads, 4? We need an official count down!
And Dork, thanks for sharing the story about your dear friend Shirley. That is so sad. When my mom was in remission from lung cancer, she had a really good month, then started having memory loss, feeling dizzy, so her neurologist switched her meds, thinking it was that. Then she got to where her legs would give out, anyway, dis dumb Dr kept switching her meds. I finally called the Dr myself, and said "you know she is in remission, have you even looked at her chart? Have you done a brainscan?" Well. she finally did, and full blown brain cancer. My Mom didn't even know who she was when we started radiation, and she never got use of her legs again. by the time the brain cancer was under control, it was back in her lungs. That Dr left town shortly after. Anyway, dere I go ramblin meseself, an dis was suppose to be about Shirley. I jus hab to say one more, FURB!!
Hey Chrissy, what's for dinner? bout dat time dere, right? An Bernie, u habbing a late lunch?
Waiting for Goldie to check in, we need details of de bust!
Gotta get my girl to camp now, BBL

Good morning, Loungettes! A bit warmer today, 52 outside, 60 inside. Still got the furnace on, but it hasn't run much, I may be able to turn it off again soon. YEAH! Finally time to get the kayak out and start paddling around, got my first paddle all planned out! I love summer!

Juliet--thanks for the info, when I make my bucket trip to Europe it will need to be in the summer! You have my sympathy with the new computer system, I've been through that process a couple of times and it is NOT fun, it is time consuming and annoying at best. Hang in there!
Bernie--great pic of the flyby! I imagine the Queen isn't in public very often, makes it special when she is. D-Day must have been something to see (not that I would want to be there), such a huge undertaking, and such a huge cost, but it was the start of a huge victory, too.
Wahine--Hooray for a great meeting with Sue! Can't wait to see THE pic! May the goddess of luck be with you on the Strip!
DorKable--I'm glad the $itty titty is doing better, and more glad you called the doc's office. Here's to the titty behaving itself from now on! I'm sure your evals will be great, can't imagine you do anything less than stellar work.

CynCyn--remind me what surgery you are having in July? My rememberer is broken again. Maybe we can connect when you get to Maine?
Beanie!!!!! I love space pics, please post quickliest!
Mrs. Vino--I had a wonderful lunch with my friends, and caught up with an old classmate as a bonus! It really is a small world sometimes. My mother used to say "beauty hurts" too, usually when she was yanking the hairs out of my head with a brush. Must be a Mom saying.

DorKable--we did find a great place for the reunion and booked it, now we're looking at the appetizer menu. Should have all that sorted out and ticket price set soon. We booked the ball room of a local hotel that is right on the water, absolutely beautiful, with inside and outside space (if it's warm enough for outdoors in September, which can be debatable). It's going to be nice!

Mema--that painting is Wonderful! I can imagine it made you cry. Enjoy the little one and come back with details soon!

CynCyn--having a friend you can laugh with is a wonderful gift, make sure you it enjoy it as much as possible!
DorKable--it is so sad when someone goes from being vibrant and active to gone from our lives in a short time, no matter what the reason. And you can bump me into the pool anytime, I love swimming and it's always a good excuse to go to the swim up pool!

Happy thirstdey goils!
NM, so glad you had a good time yesterday out with your friends. And the venue for your reunion sounds beautiful.
Allison, I am sorry that your Mom was a victim of medical failure. Seriously, I am no doctor but I would have thought to look at her brain given the sympoms she was displaying. I hate hearing stories of medical failure. My friend was only in her 60's when she passed away but she did not suffer long. I think it was only a month or so between the driving episodes and her death. I remember so clearly seeing her go down so fast. I remember visiting her at the hospital on Easter sunday before joining my family for dinner. They did let her out of the hospital and she moved in with her ex husband who cared for her until the end. One thing I did for her and you will be proud - I did her nails for her including toenails. I would not touch many of my friends toes as that is not for me but I was happy when she asked me and I did the best I could. She was having her nails cut by a pro and they were charging her big bucks and did not even make them pretty for her. I miss her still. Her son is my fb friend and I still see her face in his eyes. He was a good son to her and took very good care of her. RIP my dear friend Shirley and Allison's Mom too. gone but NEVER away from our hearts (nope, could not say farts here hehe).
Cynd, I hope you have a nice lunch todey with your friend. Your story was very touching. I am sorry that your friend lost her child. I can not even imagine. You are a good kid to let this friend sort of adopt you. Good friends are rare. I have many people that I call friend but I know the difference between a fair weather friend and a true friend. And all my goils here are true friends in my heart and will remain in my heart for a life time. Am I getting too mushly here? hehe, dis is a dwinking thread by golly!!
Suz, sounds like you are enjoying your little Maddie. Is that short for Madeline or Madelynne? Maddie sounds adorable. Would love to see a photo of her as I jest love babies.
Kathy, you know I miss you here and I tink I am upset with you. Why are you not tipping those other peoples off dere's chairs so you can get the time on the net you need? Tell dem you a VIP and that their needs do not matter. We need you here! haha. I know you would nebber do such a thing. Hope you are enjoy life on de strip and making lots o money.
I am getting a widdle coincerned about Lori. I thought we would have heard from her by now. I may be wrong but I thought de plan was to empty de warehouse yesterday with de "blind side". I am praying that all is well. And selfishly, I miss that 2nd DOTD.
Juliet, uh, I think it is time to eat that xmas pudding hehe. Enjoy it. And I hope the migration to your new systems at werk go smoothly. Although a pain in de arse, you will at least earn extra money for Christmas or money to buy yourself someting special that you would otherwise not consider.
Chrissy, darn, I should have come to dinner at yer house. Steak and stuffed baked tater sounds so yummy. I could go for a good steak but sadly, my grill took a poo. I kept telling DH that I was smelling propane and he kept saying no, the tank is turned off. I had almost a full tank and the other night when we lit the grill and got the burgers on, we ran out of propane. The connection was obviously leaking. Oh, I will confess that I rolled de grill up the sidewalk away from where I like to sit by de pool because the smell was just that bad. You know Steve though, he crazy!!!
Bernie, chit, you let your DH leave with the good stuff? You are such a good wife. I hope your hubby's trip home is smooth. Thanks for the great photos of the royals and the remembrance of D day. That was certainly a life changing day for the entire world. And I can tell you that I HATED history in school and learning about all that. But I have come to greatly appreciate all of the heros both past and present.
I have to check on my DD, she is not doing well and is heading to the doctor. I think she may have strep throat or tonsillitis. I looked at her throat with a flashlight and there is pussy stuff on her tonsils. And she has been running a high fever. It took all of my might to convince her to skip her class today but she finally agreed. She looks terrible and breaks my heart. She was so cute, she called me on the telephone early in the morning to ask me to bring her a glass of water and some tynenol. I have been checking on her often to see if she needs anything. I was instructing her about the pharmacy and to use my HSA credit card but she said she does not have the energy to get to the doctor so I told her I would make the RX run for her. At 20 years old, she is still my widdle baby and it tears me up to see her so sick. I felt bad for not offering to go to the doctor with her, am I a bad mom? I just do not want to expose myself to more germs - it is hard enough keeping my home sanitized. I do believe strep is contageaous (NM?).
I am going to start again with my afternoon ritual of contacting my STD people, hoping the knuckle head at my PS office found time to fax over my paperwork. I tink I need a dwink already!
Cheers!

checking in to see if Lori posted. Hmmmm, hope all is ok. Dorothy, that was so sweet of you to do Shirley's nails and toenails for her, I'm sure they were beautiful. And I hope Jessica is ok, and gets meds to kick that crap. Yes, strep is contagious. Aubrey used to get it all the time, so much so that her tonsils had to come out when she was 4. Still gets it about once a year, and boy it is so painful. Poor Jessica trying to push through and do her school work; keep us posted, K?

Hiya,
I called the disability company and they said they have not received anything so I calle the PS office and was assured it was faxed out today. Ugh, will just have to recheck tomorrow. The good thing is that despite being told by the STD company that my status is unpaid, I checked the internet and it looks like there is a little paycheck for me for tomorrow. When I say little, I mean little but better than nothing. I only get paid 66% of my base, no OT, no commission. At least I will get commission in my next pay from the month of May although it is not much. Again, better than nothing.
Oh, my Jessica just got home, does have strep, she just got back. I have sent her back to bed as her temp is over 102 with the tynenol in her blood, my poor widdle baby. I have to run to the pharmacy and pick up two rx's. Hoping they are not too expensive. Ugh, always something but I jest need my baby to get better and for me to stay well. I think I will pick up a few cans of Lysol, the one i have is going fast!
Cheers from germ city USA, dat mese house! And thanks Alli for your well wishes....be back later!

A farmer buys several pigs, hoping to breed them for ham and bacon. After several weeks, he notices that none of the pigs are getting pregnant, and calls a vet for help. The vet tells the farmer that he should try artificial insemination.
The farmer doesn't have the slightest idea what this means but, not wanting to display his ignorance, he only asks the vet how he will know when the pigs are pregnant. The vet tells him that when pregnant, they will stop standing around and will, instead, lay down and wallow in the mud. The farmer hangs up and gives it some thought. He comes to the conclusion that artificial insemination means he has to impregnate the pigs.
So, he loads the pigs into his truck, drives them out into the woods, has sex with them all, brings them back and goes to bed. Next morning, he wakes and looks out at the pigs. Seeing that they are all still standing around, he concludes that the first try didn't take, and loads them in the truck again. He drives them out to the woods, banged each pig twice for good measure, brings them back and goes to bed.
Next morning, he wakes to find the pigs still standing around. One more try, he tells himself, and proceeds to load them up and drive them out to the woods. He spends all day s****ing the pigs, and, upon returning home, falls listlessly into bed.
The next morning, he was woken up by his wife shaking him and saying "Wake up Dear, the pigs are acting strangely!". "What do you mean?" he asked excitedly, "Are they wallowing in the mud?" "No, " she says, "they're all in the truck and one of them is honking the horn."0 -

Alli - jes trying to ketchup n saw you sed about ‘Goldie to check in, we need details of de bust!' had to smile, cuz it's da business bust and da boobie bust we need to hear about. And I don't think I responded to Aubrey going to camp. How Fun!!! You be having some ‘private' time and she's gonna have fun time. I'd send mine for camp, mainly cuz I worked graves and summers were pits for sleeping when they were home. But it was good while it lastest.
NM - Glad temp is warmin a bit...still too cold for me...brrrr. The reunion plans sound grand. Hope it stays warm enough so you can enjoy the outside spaces too.

Thanks Beans. I picked her up some apple sauce and put it in the freezer. The poor kid can't swallow. The doc said that it will be a few days before she feels better as her case is severe. I welcome any other ideas for something she can eat without hurting her throat. I hate when she does not feel well. I have lysoled the entire house down and keep washing my hands. I pray that I do not get this.
NM, question for your - I have always understood that once a patient is on anti-b's for a 24 hour period, they are no longer contageous. Is this true?
Isn't it great having our own RN in de lounge? not only is our NM fun, she is very knowledgable and not scared to share her years of accumulated intellect in de health field.
So it is now Pau Hana, anyone joining me? Or do I get Mr. Big to myself? I have been very bored and was just reading about Kim Kardashians and that her leather dress that split open in the back, I could not help but laugh. Is that wrong? I am so over that family!! Yet I still find myself stopping when I am flipping channels and see anything Kardashian. I guess it is time to tink about getting back to work, eh?
Rounds of NO $HITTY TITTIES for all, let''s dwink!

Good Ebening Goils,
Long day...lots done tho...Lunch with Cindy(yes, we have the same name) was great..as it always is..we went to a place called "A Bit of Boston"..I was a bit of disapointed....The food was great but I didnt like the cheap feel to the place I just seemed cheezy to me...The upside was great convo and laughs...and the owner is a very cute lesbian....a lesbian with a job in my experience is rare..well, I dont attract them anyway..but not only cute with a job ..and an owner no less but she has a very new looking truck...I hope she knows about that bar I found.
Allie, you are right on the ball girl..I have 4 rads left....next Wednesday is my last day so I guess seeing that its my last day and its my Friday to boot....lets PARTAYYYY....I tink maybe we need to hire a caterer for this one my friends.... Im sorry your mom also was taken by RB and in such a situation with the DR's stupidness..that just makes me so sad and angry ...we are supposed to have so much faith and trust in these professionals that take our money and sometimes dignity away....nvm...Im going to get off on a tangent.
Thanks to you Dorty for sharing that story of Shirly with us...what a wonderful friend and companion for you. You are blessed to have had her in your life..Im sorry that RB took her too..what is up with the muther that it destroys so many wonderful people and lives..
NM...I just love kayaking...its been a really long time . I used to go up to South Arm with a friend of mine how also lost her mom to RB....her mom had a RV up there at a camp and she had two Kayaks from Beans...and a Pontoon...I miss that kind of outdoorsey stuff..listining to the loons in the ayem...so peacefull....but damn girl its cooooollllldddd.bbuuurrr ... Its June for crying out loud..the lobstah mugs are funny and remided me of when Jet Blue first started service out of PWM..they took one of our gates and had a big party/ceremony with gov Baldacci speaking ..free DD coffee and donuts ..but every time they pushed back a plane their agents stood at the end of their jetway with lobstah puppet things on their hands and waved good bye to their plane...lmao....CORNEY.... they were my nemisis.
CHRISSY....Coleslaw in a potatoe???? Is that a downunder thing live vegimite???
Bernie...I hope your DH is brining you some chocolate along with your french wine..I will have to look at my wine bottles but I think all of mine are domestic with screw off caps..but they are cool bottles.
Before I go...Sue....is Maddie your DD

Hiya goils,
I am getting lonely here but Mr. Big is keeping my dwinks filled while Pants massages my body. Life is good.
For those of you that wear RX glasses and have a copy of your RX, I wanted to share with you something I found on facebook and acted on. If you go to coastal.com, you can get a FREE pair of designed RX glasses and pay shipping only by entering the code "firstpairfree" at checkout! And they have this cool website where you can upload a photo of yourself, reposition and size it and try on the glasses to see how they look. It took me days to pick mine out after narrowing it down to 9 pairs. And it was also a bit entertaining as they had some really funny glasses that I saw myself in that made me laugh. Not sure how long the promotion is but I jest ordered a second pair for Stella! shhh, don't tell her. Funny ting, she has the same RX as I do!
Cheers!

Bernie--hope your DH gets home safely, and soberly.

CynCyn--your rememberer is better than mine, I think I'm going to have to resort to making notes to keep straight who is having what done when!
DorKable--even though my rememberer is not reliable anymore, I think Lori was going to stay in town until after an appointment that was scheduled for today. I expect we'll be hearing from her tomorry. But I am waiting anxiously to find out how the clean out went. . . . And yes, strep IS contagioius! If she has it she should let her classmates know since they will have been exposed and will need to have any sore throat in the next couple of weeks checked out promptly. She should also stay home until she's been on antibiotics for 72 hours, but I'm sure her doc will tell her that if she does have strep. --Just saw your update--once Jessica starts feeling better be sure to wash her sheets, pillow cases AND PILLOWS to help be sure she doesn't re-infect herself. The other key thing is to clean doorknobs and light switches with Lysol at least once a day for the next few days. If the weather allows, keep some windows open in her room and the rest of the house. Florence Nightingale was right when she insisted on good air flow around sick people!
Beanie--I hear you about chitty weather, and I agree. Of course, the weekend is supposed to be nice, while I'm working. Sigh.
DorKable--The usual rule for contagiousness is you're not after 72 hours (3 days). In some mild illnesses you're considered safe after 48 hours. Jessica may be happiest with popsicles or italian ices for a while, or just sipping on very cold water or Gatorade or the like. Or sucking on ice chips. Drop a few ice cubes in a ziplock bag and whack them with a meat tenderizer or rolling pin if you don't have a blender that will crunch up ice. That's my go to item when my throat is hurting.Really, really tired this evening, heading to bed early. I agreed (probably foolishly) to work extra tomorrow so I start at 10 am instead of 4 pm, so I better get myself rested up. Maybe I should try switching the arimidex to bedtime and see if it makes a difference. Read about that on the arimidex thread. Nite Nite, Loungettes!

Thanks for the tip Dorty...I doubt the promo will still be going on when Im ready..I have to get my diabetes under controll before I get new glasses but firest I gotta get the RB under controll....Im too young for this chit..lol

NM, thank you SO much for your great advise. I sprayed Lysol on doorknobs, my sinks and toilet handle but did not think about the light switches. And I would have never thought to wash her bedding. I guess I need to make sure she brings home the bedding from her apartment as well and have that washed. This is her third episode of strep this year. I have to wonder if she did re-infect herself. Thanks to for the tips on making her ice chips. I will also have her alert her coworkers at her paid job as she was there yesterday. She is a trooper, I give her that. I am SO glad she did not do her volunteer work at the Hope Cancer Lodge. That would be the worst place possible to infect others who are in treatment for the RB.
I hope you do not regret agreeing to work early tomorrow. Have a good work weekend and thank God the full moon was on Monday, hopefully the loonies lous will stay away!!
Cyn, sounds like a great lunch. As for the owner, she sounds like a possible suga momma for ya! You might want to invite her to that bar for a drink on you!! And your partAY will be catered. Our loyal servants know how to throw a mean partay! I've already heard chat from de tenders. You are so close to being DONE! I could not be happier for ya!
Well time to check on my widdle Jessica and see if she needs anything and offer her some crushed ice to chew on. I bought her pudding and yogurt. Maybe tomorrow she will be up for some eggs or something soft. She is very picky and usually only eats organic. Lucky me!
I will check back shortly. Save my bar stool! Cheers!
