Good morning, Loungettes!  How is everyone this chilly morning?

Mornin' ORLA!   Oh dear, what a name for a bookstore!  SOMETHING got lost in translation, there, for sure!

Mema--Ooh, yum, I know what I'm having for breakfast!  Bring on the Pasta!

LOL at Mema grossed out by getting served the WHOLE F'N LOBSTAH!  The 'delicacy' innards are the tamale, which is New Englandah for poop pipe!  I don't eat it but lots of people do.  And they don't stink, they smelz DELISH!!!!!!!Of course, real Mainahs don't eat lobstah in a restaurant, or even in any more clothing than necessary since they have a tendacy to 'squirt' when you crack 'em.

1= big claw  2= atennae 3= claw meat 4=little claws, or legs 5=body 6=tail  7= tail meat 8=fins or tail fins (VERY succulent meat here)  The chunks of meat between the numbers 3 and 6 are knuckles.

The tamale, better known as "the poop pipe." It's found in the tail for a reason.

Lobstah roe, great on crackers.  Or on toast for breakfast.

Wahine--I love to go to Quincy Market to eat.  I can eat from one end of the place to the other, and be there for Days!

CynCyn--claws and tails are the best part, but there's lots of good stuff in the body and little claws, too.  Plus, it's fun to suck the meat and juice out of the little claws!

Hmm. I need to look for some poppies tomorrow.

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is The Poppy Cocktail

    1 1/2 oz gin

3/4 oz white crème de cacao

Shake ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass and serve.

LOL @ Cami…………DorK, you really have her on pins and needles!

OMG Cami, you have the funniest stories. Helping your G’son with math and getting all wrong. Oh please forgive me for laughing, but that is hilarious!

Oh My, all the sadness remembering our Veterans, mixed in with all the funny, crazy posts and the funny pictures!  I go from sad and frowning to really laffing out loud! Crazy! Love all your posts though!

Julie, you left Scotland, but are not home yet...where are you?? Glad you're having a great time. I hope to say the same, when we are in China next week.

Yummmmm.....love a good lobstah tail....Oh and I did forget about Quincy Market...fun. Oh and Chrissy, I forget the name of it but in Adelaide, when we stayed at that historic hotel (had been treasury dept), there was a big place sorta catty-corner from it...(do you use that term there? means diagonally across), and it had so many stalls under huge roof, where you could buy all sorts of food....loved going through that! Do you go there?

OK, Lobstah Tails, and 2 DOTD's, and lots of poppies decorating the HTL today....sounds purrrrfect....gonna indulge...

don't wear poppies in Ireland - too emotive due to the history with the British, eventhough many irish citizens gave their lives in both world wars.

Well she waiting for him to be done working and den the two of dem went out for two dwinks. Next ting you know, de salesman was kissing my friend so sweetly. Oh boy, she said it was steamy. But mese friend got all ascared cuz de guy is married. I tail her to stay away from married men. Ya see, the thing with men that my friend's mom tailed her that once a man is a cheater, he will always be a cheater so my friend is humbarrased that she was smootching on a married man. She say she will not do dat again. And dey lived happily eber after.

I tail you all dis, I was so funcused when I wake up to darkness. Seems I spend de day in bed dreaming away. Mese DD did de same ting, wese stay up all night and sleep all day. Wese not vampires or anyting like dat. Speaking for meseself, I jest a dwunk.

So nice to hear from Juliet and de Stella. I glad yese has a great time. Juliet, tail Stella to call me.

Hey Kathy, I will dwink with you. As soon as I finish my coffee lol.

I found the info that Bernie posted really interesting. We call the day Veteran's Day but I am pretty sure we celebrate for the same reason as you do in Ireland. Please kiss a veteran today. Ohh, oops, I said that word, mese bad. I has not vets to kiss unless I see my soon to be ex DH.

Where is Kymn today? So nice having her back. I jest love when people from the past reappear. Makes me wonder whatever happened to Gail (Astorm). She showed up for two days then disappeared again. I always think of gals from past days and wish them all well.

Ok, coffee done, time to switch to JD and diet. I am starting to think I should buy some diet decaf. As Wahine said, it is time for me to tink about getting back to a normal schedule. But not tonight, i has more painting to do.

Camille, paging Camille, wake up and come and dwink with us. You crack me up. I have to agree with Lori that you are a very funny lady and are loads of fun here in the lounge.

Kathy, here is a Segrams and diet for you, enjoy! Bottoms up!

Once again this year, I’ve had requests for my Vodka Christmas Cake recipe so here goes. Please keep in your files as I am beginning to get tired of typing this up every year! (Made mine this morning!!!!) 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 cup water, 1 tsp. salt , 1 cup brown sugar, Lemon juice, 4 large eggs, Nuts, 1...bottle Vodka,
    2 cups dried fruit.
Sample a cup of Vodka to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Vodka again to be sure it is of the highest quality then Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point, it is best to make sure the Vodka is still OK. Try another cup just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 eegs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick the fruit up off the floor, wash it and put it in the bowl a piece at a time trying to count it. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit getas stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a drewscriver Sample the Vodka to test for tonsisticity. Next, sift 2 cups of salt, or something. Check the Vodka. Now shit shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the Vodka and wipe the counter with the cat. Xx
