Trust you had a nice nap Dorkie Poo. Correct, no drinking while taking anti-b's. You never heard that? Supposedly they won't work and do their magic if you consume alcohol while taking them. I say screw the anti-b's and DRINK!

Oh what fun, a floor party. I'll bet we look darn silly!

My oldest dgtr never takes her ant-b if she's going out --she actually thinks shes tricking it. Well, I've raised her so her thinking is so screwed up.

I see I have some cathin' up to do. Ok I think I'll havd Hard Mike again--I'm likin' this uy more and more--He's mu date for TG this year with ice of course. My neice will be shocked but he's goin' with me. My DD likes him too so I'll let her have hime one or 2 times, but I get the rest.

I had never heard of not taking anti-b's with likker so I infestigated. This comes from the mayo clinic and it makes sense to me. If it does not say on mese bottle not to dwink, den I dwink cuz mese feels bestest when I dwink. And dere are deys like yesturdey when mese did not feel like dwinking and dat is once in a blue moon!

Cam, I tink you have a ting with this hard mike hehe. wonder why, is it de name Mike? I tink not! hahaha!

    Question

Antibiotics and alcohol: Should I avoid mixing them?

Antibiotics and alcohol can cause similar side effects, such as stomach upset, dizziness and drowsiness. Combining antibiotics and alcohol can increase these side effects.

A few antibiotics — such as metronidazole (Flagyl), tinidazole (Tindamax) and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (Bactrim) — should not be mixed with alcohol because this may result in a more severe reaction. Drinking any amount of alcohol with these medications can result in side effects such as flushing, headache, nausea and vomiting, and rapid heart rate.

Although alcohol doesn't reduce the effectiveness of most antibiotics, it can reduce your energy and delay how quickly you recover from illness. So, it's a good idea to avoid alcohol until you finish your antibiotics and are feeling better

Ok now to u'r antib--well basically means when u'r taking it --it doesn't mix well with alcohol and it would take longer to feel better meaning it's not as effective.hahahahaha U didn't believe us at all. LOL

    How do u feel now?

I've had my expkosive D for the last 2 hrs. oooI'm exhausted--I ate dinner and within 1/2 hr.tht was it. The 1st time I ate all day and it happened. Whatever

    good morning ladies,

Im at the airport on my way home.  About 1/2 an hour from boarding time.  Cant wait to get home tho I wouldnt have missed this for the world.

The trouble NM was that I was in a car accident on Friday on my way to the airport.  I'll keep it breif but it was pretty serious and I've been in a huge amount of pain.  My car may be totaled. I dont know yet.  I messed up my arm/hand pretty bad and my chest hurts like hell..probably from the air bags.  I will be going to the hospital when I get back to FL.

I will check in later tonight.

    Happy monkeydey girls,

Cyn, I am praying that nothing is broken and that your car is repairable. Remember what is important and that is YOU.

I am weepy this morning due to news I got from one of my high school besties, Gerri. Her Mom had just moved into a retirement home four months ago and at that time, a cancerous mass was found on her lung. Due to her age, 85, the family did not want her to have treatment. They just had another scan and the mass has doubled in size and they are giving her six months. This is the friend who lost her DH to a rare form of RB a few years ago. Needless to say, my friend is a mess. If you could all pray for my friend Gerri and her mother, Josephine, I will be thankful. Ironically, her mother and my current DH's mother have been bff's for over 50 years. Life is just not fair. Josephine is still so sharp mentally. It makes me think of my mom at only 75 with the mind of a two year old. My gay friend Michele, wrote the nicest words to Gerri. I am not that good with words. I am just all weepy and coughing, what a mess. I will be back, need to pop out my contacts before I ruin another pair. LOVE YOU ALL!

okay, I am back and ready for a dwink. Praying for my girls, especially Cyndie. I had never thought about the air bag deployment being the reason for the chest pain, hopefully as black cat said, it is just internal brusing and nothing serious.

My bad, where are my manners, welcome back Black Cat. I also failed to say hello to Lynda who kept me company in the lounge. I have to skip back and reread as I can't remember what she is up to. I am praying that you are feeling well Lynda, you are quite the trooper.

Juliet, I saw a few pics of your getaway, glad you had fun. I hope Stella behaved. It is not Sue with the diarrhea, it is our dear Cammi.

How is that going Cam, I hope better. What does your doc say about it? I know yesterday was a bad day for you. DOn't hurt me but I do not feel the need to see a doc, I do not have a fever and the cough is getting better. Thanks for keeping me company last night in de lounge, I was sooo bored. I guess it is a good time to get my butt back to work, ick. Just one more day of sleeping in then back to the grind.

I heard from Wahine and she made it safely to China. It sure is quiet around here when she is gone. I hope to hear from Lori (Goldie) soon. We need a dwink of de day. For now, I declare a shot of JD and a beer as the DOTD.

Have I told you all that I love you? Well I do, bounds n leaps or sumting like that! Cheers!

Dork my prayers are going u'r way--I always hate to hear this---As u get older u know u'r time is coming but I just hope it's not painful--that makes no sense to me, why there has to be pain--isn't death enough.? I hope they keep Gerri's Mom in comfort.

And Bernie as usual u'r wise words work for me.

And I always rememer this My knowledge knows that a tomato is a fruit, but my wisdon is that I don't put it in a fruit salad. That's about as far as I fear to tread.

Dork I have had so many Drs. from different ospitals see me and test me--and the answer is "I don;t kniw, highly unusual. They treated it lightly until the first time I was in the hospital because of it--and saw themselves how horrific it was--that's when 100 test were run and nothing. I've had it over 5 yrs andmissed lots of stuff cuz I can't leace y house.and I have no allegies to foods and makes no difference what I eat. This was one of the main reasons I couldn't go back to work--to unpredictable even tho I take pres. meds for it and I take the highes amount u can take. And it makes me crabby sometimes as u can see. cuz I have it alot. And personally I think it weakens my immune system cuz I'm always on some anti-b and never was vefore. So in my goofy head the cancer has been treated the best way possible, but all my aide effects are taking me down--not the actual cancer. I' so naive. LOL

So time for a drink and get unserious--Hmmmm coffe and Kalua Ok sounds good to me.  Cheers

trust me Cam, I am not one to go away often. I went away for two nights, had not been away since last November when I went to Myrtle Beach to have Thanksgiving with my parents. I am thankful that they will be here this year.

My dad and sister Mariann flew back to Myrtle Beach on Friday to winterize their place and they are flying back tomorrow. This is not the same sister that my parents are staying with, that is my oldest sister Alice. God Bless her, she had to sleep with mom last night downstairs and mom was up four time for the potty. The last time, they did not make it, mom peed through her depends onto the floor. It is jest so sad. I read a lot of an aging parents thread and one gal explained it is like she is already gone, it is jest so sad. I know my dad is happy as pig in shit being at his own home today though although I know he misses Mom. The two of them are so in love despite Dad hollaring at her, he is clearly in denial. Ok, enough of the downer stuff, hoping for good news now. Waiting to hear from Cyndie, fingers and toes crossed and prayers up up and away agen...it is time for happy news.

Cam, I am glad yer drugs are en route, I can relate, I am an addict meseself and try to neber run out! It is my primary care doc that keeps me loaded up wtih the good stuff, my PS treats me like an addict. Speaking of, my dear doc called to check on me todey, said if I need to be seen before TG to call no later dan early am on wednesday. I love my primary care doc and he loves me!

Let's partay! Actually, I tink it is time I take a short nap, been napping too late in the day, so hard to wake up when it is freaking dark. Counting down de deys til Spring!

I hated my job but I made 3 wonderful friends after working together so many years and we made it a fun place to work, My one friend wss the manager and I was the supervisor (cuz she put me in the mix) and we were so easy going everyone was always happy about work, butit's still work LOL---But u still need to be strong LIKE HULK but not green,
