Now....on to da 'real' chit. SIL called bout 2 hours ago. I was making homemade pizza. Anyway...he was at his wits ends cuz of Jengirls pain and nausea. He got her to drink a super shake...kinda like an 'ensure' thingies. She did get it down. But da nausea is really messing with her. So....who better autho on dat den me. We talking weeks and weeks and weeks of da nausea chit. She only need to get thru a few days. Not diminishing how she feel...when my baby girl hurts...I HURT! So...I tail SIL....crackers n dis super dooper shake will not suffice when it comes to taking a pain pill. She WILL get nauseous. He is at his wits end...I say...ya got some ground ginger (I kno he does cuz she bakes pumpkin pies from scratch) he finds it. I say...get her measuring spoons...he finds them...I say..find 1/8 teaspoon...he does. I say make her a cup of her favorite tea in the Keurig. He does...I say put a few ice cubes in it so she can sip right away. He does...then I say...take 1/8 tsp of da ginger,,,put on back of her tounge...give her sip of tea....swallow. He does....she gets it down. I tail him...not a miracle...but does diminish da nausea. Pain meds best taken on FULL STOMACH. Course she cannot eat...nothing sounds good. He asks...what did you eat. I tail him...bean and cheese burrito. He laughs...cuz he kno how much my DD lubs em. So I say...jes b patient...she will ask for food and bet dollars to donuts that will be what she wants. LOL. Den he say...she wants to talk to you....she say...'I love u mom'. dats all I needed to do a total breakdown after I hangs up.
HOLY CHIT....I jes wrote a friggin BOOK. But ya kno what....not gonna say dat 's' woid. I know some of you gone to greater lengths for der kid den I jes did. My hat off to all of us!!!

Awwwwww, I almost started bawling too....your poor baby girl. AND how sweet is that, that she wanted to tell you she loves you. Very touching. Sure hope she is feeling better tomorrow and that she gets some sleep tonight (you too!). ((((Jen, Sue))))

I had my excisional biopsy last week and I went in yesterday for my post-op visit/path report and I have been told that I have DCIS with micro-invasion. I took a friend with me for another set of ears (my mistake!). I stayed and visited with her for awhile yesterday before coming home and as soon as her boyfriend got home she cracked open a beer, so that was my cue to leave as I know she was going to get drunk. She calls me up last night and tells me she got me onto military insurance as she knows the commander of the american legion, WTF?? I was not in the military the required 180 days to qualify for any type of benefits and I know this from talking to the VA. She then proceeded to tell me that she did this so that I can sell Avon under her to cancer patients!! OMG, for one thing it was not her business to tell anyone my diagnosis and I am not going to sell anything to a cancer patient!! That is just mean and I was so upset and all I can do is sit here and cry. I am just having a super bad day!!!! I want someone to twinkle their nose and make me well. Plus I learned today that my step-grandma died on monday from cancer and an aneurysm.
Btw, I am feeling better now, just still in shock.

The following letter was forwarded by someone who teaches at a small high school in country NSW (Australia). The letter was sent to the principal's office after the school had sponsored a luncheon for the elderly.
Dear School,
God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your recent senior citizen's luncheon. I'm 94 years old and live at the local County Home for the Aged.
My family has long since passed away and I rarely have visitors. As a result, I have very limited contact with the outside world. This makes your gift especially welcome My roommate, Maggie Cook, has had her own radio for as long as I've known her. She listens to it all the time, though usually with an earplug or with the volume so low, I can't hear it. For some reason, she has never wanted to share it.
Last Sunday morning, while listening to her morning gospel programs, she accidentally knocked her radio off its shelf. It smashed into many pieces, and caused her to cry. It was so sad.
Fortunately, I had my new radio. Knowing this, Maggie asked if she could listen to mine.
I told her to f**k off.

The blue arrow works but not all the time...Lori's advice about putting your post on a note pad and copy and pasting is a good idea...I dont follow my own advice tho and usuUally just say eff it if I loose my post and type a new shorter version.

Found a drink to honor one of our newbies, for our DOTD
BLACK CAT
- 1 shot blue curacaoshopping list
- 1 shot vodka (can be flavored, if you're feeling adventurous) shopping list
- 3 shots lemon lime soda shopping list
- 1 shot cranberry juiceshopping list
- 1/2 shot fresh squeezed lime juice
Shake together the curacao, vodka, lime juice and soda. Pour the cranberry juice into the bottom of a tall glass. Gently over the back of a spoon, pour the alcohol mixture over top. Serve with black cat cocktail stirrer (the drink should be stirred just before drinking) and a lime curl or slice.
Sounds pretty good, I'm a wodka fan!

you would be very welcome kymn, good afternoon all, had a good night in work for a change, cute looking doctors ,might have to see your cardiologist cammi, will you share? saw the bs this am, occasionly have serous drainage from my scar line, so being a good nurse as it wasn't infected i ignored it! but started really hurting this week so went to him and where as before he thought he would revise it in the office, now he wants to do it in the or, thinks it might be internal suture causing problems, so 12/10 i get to starve! but its not infected
