Cheryl, be happy!  First I saw the snow-white hair and thought of you, THEN I saw her name & age.  Winking

I did 3 miles of walking today, plus stairs since building elevator is out.  It's howling wind out there.  Move is next weekend.  Got most of the errands done and had a fab lunch. (REAL onion soup gratinee....delish.)

I came home to about 6 hours of work....ready for BED.

I love the picture of the 88 year old gymnast.  Note those fab legs.

One of my favorite stories was the lady who was the model for Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond series.  She and her husband were mugged a number of years ago on their way back from the theatre.  She sent the muggers packing.  She was something like 81 at the time, but still had it when it counted.

Quite a week ahead for me.  Next week at this time, I will be in my new place, new bedcovers.....and new life adventure.

Ready for under covers now. - Claire

Nihahi - oh that makes sense what you said ... and it sounds like the projects vary, so this wouldn't be a permanent schedule. That's great - just a little work around for the time being! :) You will find the right balance.  I think it helps now that the sun is starting to stay out longer, it makes it seem possible to get more done in the day.

Winter storm warning for today so took the day off work as not safe to drive.  Happily, that did not preclude me from walking around town.  Bundled up and took some leftover pot roast to a friend, then to the market for a few items, most notably coffee.  Can't run short on a day off!  As long as I'm dressed for it, I love walking in the snow.  So pretty and so quiet!  ♥

Good lord....another storm warning badger???!!! Exactly HOW many days until Spring???

It's a holiday here, so no "work" for me. Got out with hubby for a lovely 5k walk, only did the "black ice dance" a couple times!

    Hugs to you all.

LOL at the 'black ice dance'.  Even when you don't fall you can still really wrench something out of wack.

Yep, another winter storm, supposed to get 7" before all is said and done.  I don't mind driving through snow but I'll stay home when the wind whips up and you can't see squat and it's blowing & drifting all over the road.  Not to mention idiot drivers incl guys in SUV's who think they're immune from the laws of physics.

    30 days, 3 hours, 52 min, 19 sec until Spring.  http://mycountdown.org/Other/Spring/

I went to Yoga again (I am really going to try to give it a fair shot.....so far what I like is lying on the floor with my eyes shut at the end Winking) and to my fun, fun Zumba class.

    *  If you are watching the Olympics, you will notice that many of the great USA hockey players, men & women, are from the University of North Dakota, my alma mater!!!

Walked the dog through the fresh snow and  then did some shovel and sculpt. I noticed you use different muscles walking in the snow so my legs got a different kind of workout.

Badger it's pretty bad when someone from Alberta comments on the volume of our snow storms!

Cheryl, I am sure it was a compliment as she saw the hair and gorgeous legs instantly thinking of you. I wish my legs looked that good now....lol

Ruth, my favorite Yoga pose is corpse pose during final relaxation..

Claire, eyes on the prize!! One week to go to your next adventure..

    Love and hugs to everyone.....

I got out and did a 5k run (in the SUN no less).  This after FINALLY getting my clothes to the cleaners.  Plus some food shopping.

A friend of mine got boxes for my move, and I have decided to spend Friday afternoon packing up the easy stuff to get a jump on Saturday.  This includes my dry cleaning that will be done by then.

Drinking some post b'day champagne.  We couldn't open the bottle, and I took it home.  Yep, Channel Lock pliers work every time!  A Loire Valley bubbly and reminds me of Sparkling Vouvray which I adore.

I have to remember that feeding my friends post move is TONS cheaper than paying movers!  Plus more of an adventure. - Claire

Did Sh'bam class this morning and then tonight went to rip roaring, sweat inducing Cardio Dance Party, had to come home shower and get into PJs, I am officially knackered.......

Dulci hope the migraine is easing, if you suffer from them regularly, ask your doctor about Botox. Ruth that's my favourite part of yoga tooWinking Well today I had my Physical Therapy evaluation, the guy told me I was like a female Jack Lalane, he said I had incredible strength "for my age" he also said I have really nice feetSillyHeart

Dulci - hope you are feeling better!

I got enough liquid awesome done today for both of us - so kick back and rest up a bit. You've probably been over-doing it.

Reporting in:  80 minutes:  7 miles EFT - 2 miles treadmill at 10.5 incline and then at 4.5 incline

Cool beans Cheryl, you areas fit as Jack LaLanne and his dog Happy, who I grew up watching both as a  kid.  NatsFan/Mary, I would mourn the loss for sometime of a magnolia tree, much more precious than our now sideways crabapple. I sent photos to a tree feller and he emailed back a quote of £480+vat -ugh. Putting feelers out, and one guy who was to come over today for a look & quote cancelled. Trees and lines are still down in my aera. Odie said:favorite Yoga pose is corpse pose, LOL, good one and I'm still working on 3 legged dog to wheel.  That left mx shoulder is not cooperating.  I'll get it one of these days.  Good for you Ruth on sticking with Yoga and I want to go to a weekend yoga retreat and it's doable sometime in my future. Took our boy this morning for his first contacts fitting.  He is so happy as he has wanted to try them for sometime and now old enough (15). He deserves it - tired of hearing 4 eyes (you know how kids are) and sports will be easier for him too.

    Ran a 5.87k this afternoon

    Hello Ladies

What is liquid awesome?  Am guessing either wine or a green smoothie, right?

I walked to work today and did the weekly shopping after work.

My Mom has a new friend who is about 85 years young and fit and healthy.  I asked my Mom what her secret is and my Mom said - No secret - she walks 3 times a week, fast and she keeps regular hours.

I realized that I have been slipping into my old bad habits of eating anything and everything and I guess its mainly because I am not eating at set intervals - so - as I type I am boiling up enough black lentils and quinoa for a few meals - I will pre-arrange them and start being disciplined again.

    Core & pilates this morning.

I have been eating everything in sight too since my vacation, so have to knock it off (after the banquet I'm going to tonight, or after breakfast with the girls tomorrow, or........sigh.....you all know the drill!)

Hey Ruth - Thanks for setting me straight!  Yugh!

I have to admit that I don't like sweating.  I was raised with the idea that animals sweat, men perspire and ladies glow!

Seeing as how I sweat after exertion I never feel comfortable when I do.  I know Jane Austen would disapprove of me.

Its probably one of the reasons I avoided exercise my first 48 years.

Bounce, I have always jokingly told my husband that I'm too delicate to sweat. Today I told him I was proud that I had worked up a sweat!
