Jwoo thanks for the talk of scanning. The photo editing. When Phyillshould be home now . You two have that in common . Her thing is photography. and using these machines to do things to them. Hmm that sounds menacing, but she's had shows..... Not too much over boards, wanted to check in on Nicky's thread. She's from France. she was here and still would be, but she's having a rough go of it. 2D6 still working at changing the world.

Smarrty, glad it's almost done . Been their taking care of my Dear Mary, my mom's first cousin. 1500 sq ft condo. all the stuff. decisions on what to keep what to pitch. oy vey. Glad she found a friend. Hope they get close for the right reasons.

Maddy, it'll be okay. I'm done, I go through these brain energy things then it passes. OH my. feels like it's been squeezed like orange juice.

Spookie thanks for watching cheesed for me, I;ll have to check in.

    MM lovely owl :)

All, I was studying my path report. The first pathologist missed the cancer a 2nd time. But at least he sent it for a 2nd opinion. I couldn't believe it when I laid them side by side and did a line by line comparison. So, I am going to have dear lawyer son look at it and start a file. Cuz my study this week says my very very treatable cancer has great outcomes, but they listed a few things that are indicators of poorer outcomes.

Random thoughts , not human speak bypass easily. gathering thoughts for lawsuit.

    1. longer time till diagnosis and treatment. ---delayed treatment cuz he missed it on bx. 9 months of delayed treatment for a then local cancer that has seriously imperiled my future. AND OTHERS. I'm out for blood.

    2. thyroglobulins elevated over 70 at dx. --mine 109. Thyroglobulin levels should have been done at biopsy time.

    3. there were five specific stainings done by quest on the tissue. All were available to first pathologist. He did none of them. Two of the stainings, when done together have a 100% accuracy for papillary ca. He never did any of them. Had he done these two stains on the bx, he would have had a diagnosis. He has gone from a respected competent pathologist to, an incompetent lazy joke that I will go after. All his work is now suspect.

    Friggen tired of incompetence.

Last word of the morning --chocolate :)

Good morning all!  Soccer season started and it keeps me pretty busy.  Between work, prom, graduation, college stuff, and soccer I hardly get time to read.  Today I have the day off from work but start call for the weekend at 4.

My 19 y/o daughter was hit by a van while riding her bicycle earlier this week. I spent some time worrying about her.  She is ok just stiff and sore.  The bike needs some fixing though.

Please know that cheering you all on, wishing the best for all with concerns, and hoping for pain relief for all those suffering.

Teka , you special gal, always waking us with coffee :) HMmmmmmm and CHOCOLATE. Methinks you did that just for me LOL. HUGS

  • lovely coffee in the morning !  Got you all in my pockets today!

So happy your daughter is ok, dutch!

Cami, sometimes I have to open two browser windows and post while I'm still reading to keep up. And sometimes I keep up but too tired to type. I still get brain fatigue and energy zapped.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

I forgot to tell you I finally had a chocolate coke! Mixed the choc flavor shake with my Pepsi. Tasted like a cherry coke. Probably won't do it again. Since I picked out mostly choc shakes I hope I don't hate choc when I'm done with this. Didn't think you could have toooooo much chocolate.

Heading over to the trailer this morning. We have someone who probably wants her organ, otherwise it goes to the dump, which would be a pity since it plays great. She met someone else she used to know last night so things are looking up.

Dutch, glad your daughter is ok, that can be real scary.

SAS, maybe your path has gotten too old to be doing this anymore?  I would think you can't be the only one he has screwed up.  Any idea when you'll know if this worked? Do they do another scan or does it just show in the blood work?

Happy Friday everyone. Someone was having a scan today? Hope it all goes well. Everybody else be good out there this weekend.

    Busy, Busy, Owls..

FierceBBird, you have an appt. today??? Yes we are in your pockets, coffee & chocolate will be served. Lets us know how it goes...

Dutch/Sharon, thank goodness your DD accident was not worse. You are a busy mom, sounds like fun, I loved that time of life, seemed stressful & never ending at the time, then it's over & we are missing it.

Jwoo, I also love the fact that you volunteer...I will look into that, as I quit my job, or retired..

    Sas, REST

So much going on...I love to read about everyone, even those that cannot post often....

    BBL....

  • hello everyone :)

It's been a rough week or so, physically and emotionally for me. I thought I was okay after chemo, but Sunday SE's came with a vengence. I'm also battling a UTI that I think is causing me extreme stomach pain. I'm not going to go into every little thing, but I'm just exhausted from treatment. I'm feeling better today, so I'm hoping I'm turning the corner. I just don't know how I'm gonna get thru the last 2!! Do they make that much of a difference in the odds against a reaccurance?

Tang a Rang...was wondering how you've been feeling...surviving...I had 8 dose dense, aren't you getting 6? With your 6 nasty nodes you will need to finish. Mine were bursting & growing on the outside. Your DR. came up with your plan with the intent of completion.

It still is very fresh in my memory how horrific the chemo was & being bald, then losing all my eyelashes & brows...I focused on my finish date. Never thought about quitting cause I was so scared of the consequences. When is your finish date? I am guessing around mid to late May? Of course, the stinkin SE lasts for a month or so after chemo, then on to rads? or not? since you had the mascetomy.

This is the hardest thing....it will end....and it takes time to feel close to the old self again...you will get through it!

Everytime I read of someone having a tough time with chemo, I become ever so thankful that it was nice to me!  I feel so bad for those that suffer!!  It seems that I breezed through treatment, but misery began after with all the aches and pains and worry!!  Still having the back issues, still having the hip and arm issues!  Haven't cancelled next weeks appt just yet, I'm trying to hold steady so I can find out what is going on!  Just still not sure I'm up for more bad news!  It's sad when you pray for one of the "itis" siblings!!

Had a great visit and dinner with my cousin!!

I'm recouped from the virus only to find out that my 80 year old parents now have it!  However, I think I was able to get meds to them before it got vicious!  Just hoping my special needs sister (still lives with parents) doesn't get it!

Sorry I have not commented on more things, I do read, but my mind just can't keep up!  While I was out sick, we had a computer crash at work!  So today has been extra busy for me, trying to get things back up and going, but I think we are on the uphill side of that now!  I'm about to call it a week and head home to rest!!

OMG Dutch I'm so glad everything is all right, the hell with the bike, Oh what a rough week. Sorry.

Oh Nettie I understand more of why u'r so fearful, cuz u think u didn't suffer enough--Please don't think that way, sometimes there are more SE after than with, remember there are no rules with this beast.

Tang u really have to finish --I remember my first 4 months and I thought I was done when I had surgery and I was so glad then, after and I  had it another like 10 months and then finish Herceptin and I thought they are thinking of ways to kkeep my mouth shut, I took it personally LOL and the after surgery was worse than before, then I had another surgery and got more chemo 1 and 1/2 yrs and I knew I had to finish and u have to finish too and remember it will just seem like a bad dream after and u'll think --How the hell did I do that, but u do and I know u'll be all right, just takes time and coming here is a good outlet--I didn't join here til I was done basically it probably would make me feel better if I did knowing others felt the same way, Now I follow the after shock of it and I don't feel so different anymore, I know what's going on and why for the most part there is so much pain now and I'm still a work in progress--it's just the way this damn disease is.

Dang, it's raining here and there's actually one weather report calling for SNOW. I have seeds and chit, it can't SNOW!!!!

Tangerine - You're more than halfway there, kiddo. And you are strong - knew that about you after just a few posts that you made. When it's over, you will look back and go - "Wow, that was me? I did that?" Sometimes it's a good idea to call the office - I didn't until the 5th round & as soon as my onc saw me he told me he'd be admitting me. But right away they gave me fluids & they really helped a lot. One of the nurses said - You can always call us and we'll give you fluids (wish I had known sooner). I was always hesitant to call, because I felt like a whiner and like there was nothing they could do... but it turns out that there's actually a lot they can do & I know you and you are NOT a whiner.

Sassypants - I love how your mind works, and that when you figure things out, you take steps to fix them. Chocolate on gal and never let it be said that you were not the hottest of the hot chicks. Here's a little to add to the stash Teka sent you:

    image

So, all you girls became bunnies while I was gone with cute names like snuggle bunny,  sweet sugar and takemyclothes off foradollar. How come you didn't invite Vinnie? I'm sure he would have enjoyed this:

    image

FBB -  Love you and all the bunnies and owls and chickens are in your pocket (except cami 'cause well we love her but it's better if she is not confined to close quarters). Chevys fluffy tail is making me sneeze, so just ignore that wiggly pocket. It'll help if you stick your hands in your underpants because.. I don't know.

Oh Ziggers!  That reminds me of this "man" that wrote about his broken hip surgery!  See, I was trying to find out how long I would limp.... And I googled just that, and this like "journal" came up, about this guy who broke his hip, and his recovery!  So if you would have READ what I said, you would know what I was talking about, but since you probably DIDN'T read,  what I said, he mentioned that when he went into surgery for the SECOND broken hip, the nurses were upset, because he didn't have any underwear on!  He found out, that the 2nd surgeon, would operate differently, and would set them up, and tuck their hands in their underwear.... Ha, ha!  That cracked me up!   So in other words, SOME surgeons operate in a prone position, (which I am mostly used to) but then others do it with them sitting up!

My underpants were on.... weren't they?  Maybe not....  Probably possibly NOT.... because I had a catheter!  Oh Drats!  Now I'm borderline "embarrassed"!   Bare-assed is the appropriate word here!  Shut UP Cammi!

So Lilshit, Blondie and Nettie!  I sent your envelopes!  Now I ASKED you guys to give me your address if you would WANT a ruffled scarf!    And I have not heard from anyone else...!

Okay.... gotta go maybe think about dinner!  Love you guys... xoxoxoxo

Chevy I did READ what you said. I always read everything You're the one that doesn't read you old biddybat. This is what they call 'projection', see? My question has never been about prone or unprone. It's about why they have to tuck yr hand in your underpants. What does tucking your hand in your underpants do (I was taught NOT to do that in public).?

When I get my scarf, I'm going commando. There will be no underwear hand tucking.

  • Thanks for the encouragment :)

I literally cannot imagine having to do more than 2 more of these hellish tx's. To those that have gone thru more chemo than that...you are amazing!

I have thrush now too. Good times!!!!!!

Tangerine and peaches - there's not one of us who is any more amazing (or less so) than you. We all just cope as best we can.

Chevy - I miss you in the DH. (doghouse not dear husband)

Tang whatever we all went thru we all went thru so it's all the same--we're here now, maybe some parts are missing but we're still here. U'll do it, u'll see.

Chevy did u have u'r crotchless panties on---I think that would have worked and why would u be embarrassed u'r not when u aren't in surgery.

You know when we have surgeries of course we act like OMG stuff and yet when we are out do u really think these Drs. are even talking about us except to say hand me this or hand me that and close. To them it's like an office job where u kind of gossip a little and goof around or sing, but then when we wake up they give us their Dr. face again. and I told my Surgeon that, he didn't fool me.

I want to apologize about my post earlier---I didn't mean like well look at all the stuff I had, because I'm not happy about it I just kept on rambling and didn't mean I was brave, amazing or tough--I just followed what they told me to do and I didn't mean it as anything else but once u commit and start u really have to finish what the Drs. are doing even when U want to bring a gun in with a mask and start going at it. That's all. But I was very luck cuz with all that they got what they and me wanted, tat's why I'm still here.

Tang- you can do it!  I did not have my last Taxol due to severe hand-foot syndrome, allergic reactions, and pretty bad neuropathy. That being said, I also had an excellent response to the treatments i DID have, so, my ONC decided it was better for me to stop and not risk being permanently disabled from the neuro.  You have to way the long terms risks with the response you've had, and you and your Dr. should discuss it in depth. But, if there is no risk of perm damage that you are seeing, I would say- fight on! We are here for you!

And Cam- don't discount your feelings or experience! No need for an apology! We are all brave, all fighting for a good life. That includes you.

well the right girlie is definitely slipping south. I finally email my doc and waiting for an appointment. Compared to some of you this is minor stuff.  I told him I REALLY liked having boobs. Hope he can fix it. I can't do anything until early June because of the weddings and class I'm teaching or in August when I start  eating real food again.

Tang please hang in there. It will be worth it in the end.

Cami, you're a sweetie to worry about out feelings. Don't bother, we're numb or deaf or glowing or ????

Well, MIL is moved. She made one last trip to the trailer just to make sure. Had a little tiff with her daughter, I think she was taking her frustrating out on her since she can't get through to her son since he can't hear much. Hard to fight when the other one can't hear you yelling at them. We should be done cleaning out this weekend.

    Have a good weekend all.

Oh, Sistahs - cheering you all on from afar. Seems like I can either read all the past posts, or start anew with a fresh post, but not both.

Right now it's storming outside - woo HOOO! We so desperately need it. But this little spit ain't gonna change our severe drought one bit.

DH and I ran errands yesterday, but today we just stayed inside, out of the rain. We were pooped from all the activity.

    Love y'all!!!

    Teka, ThumbsUp another great one!

Blessings, good to hear that rain is on the way! My chest was so tight and aching last night I needed to sleep with the heating pad. Have been overcast and breezy all day and was hoping the weather folks got it right. They're even talking about snow, and it's almost May! Definitely global warming.

I have an explanation for the hands in the underpants during surgery. If they're going to sit you up they don't want your arms flopping around at them or making you tip sideways. When I had my tubes tied they strapped my hands down to the table. I kept telling them I was supposed to be asleep by now and I wasn't even woozy.
