Lisa, that mountain is Mount Rainier.  The picture was taken from the deck on our old house.  I miss the view, but we had to go smaller...  too much house and yard to keep up.  Here's another picture of Rainier, taken when we were out fishing.

gardengumby- that is one weird looking plant-love the waterfall too. Must remember to upload my Snowquamie Falls one.

SoCalLisa- ah sunsets. I took them for granted in the summer clear Fl evenings. The trees out west block the near me fir the most part.

This is one actually of the green flash, where the green didn't show up in this photo but you can

see the little oval on top of the sun where the green flash lies...I took this in La Jolla.

It is a weird plant isn't it?  I took the picture a few years ago at the Arboretum in Seattle - can't remember the name of the plant now, but it doesn't bloom very often, so when it does it's a big deal.

Everything bloomed so late this spring but the neighbors had planted pretty tulips

That weird plant is VERY smelly if I'm thinking of the right one.

I think you are right Barbe. The smelly plant.

Lisa, I finally found you again! I couldn't remember the thread where I had originally saw your work. By the way, my DH is from Palm Springs and I sometimes recognize your photos from there. His father still spends winters there and is very ill so did not leave this past May. Looks like I'll be going out there in the coming months...

Unfortunately, I didn't write down locations, I just took pictures.  :)  It's either Southern Oregon (most probable) or Northern California.
