64. But my head says much younger. Now I understand why my mom didn't like using her cane out in public because she thought it made her look old. She was over 80. HELLO?!!

Sweet Peppermint! YOU gotta be the youngest one here.... Okay.... I'll take care of you too.... Hope you are doing alright? My Niece, always used this in her emails...

Smarty.... I feel the same way! I'm just using my cane until it doesn't hurt my leg when I walk... but it's a fancy cane... so maybe it doesn't look too bad...

I just bought a foldable one... to take with us when we go to Orlando.... Hope I don't have to take it, or I mean I hope DD doesn't want us to walk around the world while we are there....

pawprint I miss the history as per what happened to your puppy
I am usually behind here. Sending her lost of kisses hope she gets better and that she is ok to learn her way without her vision

Ahh...Annie Mae thanks you all. Enerva, My pup got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had most of her pancreas removed which put her into diabetes. The diabetes created pressure build up, both eyes, she went blind this year in January, but the eye pressure got so high her eyes had to be removed last month. The vet calls her a miracle since they were convinced she'd die in 2011 not long after surgery. But she's a trooper.

I'm trying a new regiment of smoothies to go along with my iron infusions. So twice a day I make smoothies out of spinach, kale, strawberries, banana, vanilla protein powder, and lots of ice, along with vitamin C and prescription iron pill. I have my labs done in July. Between infusions and smoothies I hope to get my energy back up. I also adjusted my work schedule and I'm giving myself 3 day weekends. Looking forward to positive results from all of this.

Poor puppy. Have you seen the inflatable collars for dogs? I found Spookies at Petco, was much easier than an e-collar

good luck paw...hope it works for your energy

I think I am going to get a......sas explained it.......someone to manage my stuff. I think I would like someone else writing all this down and communicating with my doc. My onc only treats cancer stuff...starting to figure this out with reading sas stuff. So I will try a different route to see if we can get a handle on the restless leg and fibromyalgia, and headaches and and and......when I talk to doc, and nurse, they get that deer in headlight look. They don't know what to say unless it relates to the chemo treatments. These other things I have had all my life. Never cared....since I was born with the stuff, didn't know life any different. But know when I take some of the pain meds, I am like, wow, this is what it feels like to feel good.....started me thinking...scary thing for me to do....but I know there is better meds out there to treat and target issues, and it isn't just pain meds. So I have a call into my internetist to see if she knows of anyone I could see. I am sure she does.
So thanks everyone !!!!! From reading all your posts, and sassy is the best, I think I am going to get a better handle on all of this.

Just poppin in to check in---
Paw everytime I look at Annie, I feel so bad poor baby.
And I also feel bad for all of u that this horrible disease came into u'r lives too especially some being just to young. I'm 69 now but like most of u until I actually walk or look in a mirror I think I'm 17, well my brain is childish still most of the time---My favorite age was in my early 30's--I enjoyed raising my kids alone then cuz no one told me what to do about anything, well no one tells me what to do now except my body can be a little bossy and I don't like that. -Like today I was supposed to go to my DD's house not going. So I'm home and it's better thsn trying to act all right when I feel like chit. Oh well it could be worse. I could be over 75. oops sorry Chevy.

Smarty beautiful kids.
Pawprint I am going to have your dog in my thoughts when I meditate, one of my dogs had diabetes and I had to give him insulin twice a day for 4 months then he got cancer and I had to let him go. I do agree with the vet, she is your little miracle. Sending you hugs

59 @ DX, NOW 63.SweetSue, such nice words. Yes, the eyes glaze over when it's not their body part. Your right it's the internist that is suppose to bring it together. But just as in anything, IT'S THE PERSON'S WILLINGNESS TO BE GREAT at what they do to make them GREAT. I think though it requires some study on our part, otherwise, we can think mediocrity is wonderful.
Whomever wrote that their sister works in a Pain MGT clinic. I couldn't find you. This is very important to discuss at length. We need to understand this. I know there has been a change in government regulations and monitoring b/c of the increase in the recognition of prescription drug abuse. We need more info

Chevy, thought allot about keeping discussion away from certain tops. Then I thought about what I wrote in the topic box
"This is a safe haven. No nastiness, bullying, or such allowed. I would like to keep the kind fabric of this thread intact.
Discussion will flow where it will as all threads do. This will be a happy place. I hope with lots of laughing. Talk of things, needs, rants as your mood or thoughts take you. Each person here has a history of helping others. Threads develop pseudo family groups. Fancy way to say we become like family. This family will have all the best a family has to offer, but none of the negatives." Bolding changed to indicate emphasis of the discussion at present.
All thoughts should be allowed here except nastiness and bullying.
I know your fear is that I be beanned LOLOLOLOLOLOL---great typo had to leave it. Made me laugh right out loud.
I meant to say that you are afraid that I be banned. Freedom of Speech is to precious Lovey to keep it to a minimum. If I, you, or anyone wishes to express what we believe LET IT BE SO

Oh, ZIP it miss Cammi! You little chit! See, I don't FEEL like I am older than dirt, I just AM! It doesn't seem like that's supposed to be! Something must be wrong with those statistics... Funny, though.... my girls were born in 58 and 61! So I MUST be older than them, right? Little brat!

Thrifted today
found a couple of exquisite pieces. Bought intentionally as gifts for DBBF's son and GF. Going to be very hard to part with them. May not be able to. But then I think (hope) these kids who haven't got much would like to have something beautiful. Does anyone have a RECIPE for getting rid of cloudiness on drinking glasses?
Enerva your sisters' difficulties in getting proper treatment, does remind me how much better we have it. Will continue praying . She's very lucky to have you as her advocate.
PP why has Annie Mae got the collar on again? Itching?
2nd waving.....Ollie,ollie, oxen free

Chevy My Goodness young MIss. And me just talking about nastiness LOL0 -
Just back from the matinee of Malificent. Liked it a lot, see if you get the chance. The pluses for me: I like fairy tales and movies with strong female leads. And in my dreams, sometimes I can fly, so I loved it when she flew and took me along. Great graphics as you'd expect from Disney.
Sassy, I have a "Disappearing Civil Liberties" mug. It has the Bill of Rights but the text disappears when you pour in hot coffee. It'll now remind me of you. I used to have one that was the Star Trek transporter room; Kirk and Spock beamed away. And a friend of mine had a Cheshire Cat mug. Everything but the smile vanished when you filled the mug.
I'm 54 now and was 50 at dx. ♥ to all
