Welcome, redheeled! Whatever you can do now will help you bounce back quicker once you are done.

Badger, I will see if I can procure a shirt for you. Smile

    Hi Redheeled and welcome!

Nats: Hope dh passes that stone quickly! He'll feel so much better.

Badger and Nats: The book sounds excellent and I'll have to check it out.

Ruth: Love the tee shirt. Will be holding Anne in my prayers. Too, too young for this.

Cheryl: Your dress sounds just lovely! I can see you in it now.

LB: Thanks for sharing the poem.

Hello Everyone! It is so stinking humid. Dh and almost talked ourselves out of walking tonight but I heard The Voices so we went. Glad I did it and I know it will make me stronger.

ThumbsUp for the nightdress, Claire.  Great job, Auroaya. Cheryl, I thought nicadance was not as much fun as BodyJam, Sh'bam or Zumba. Although I have been skipping BodyJam and Zumba for Salsa and Tango. My brain gets a workout trying to learn new figures. I am also practicing the man's part in Tango so I can teach my friends and get to dance more.

Greetings to the newbies!  This is a great place - no matter what you do, it counts.  Ruth - the shirts are so cute - and I bet your picture of all of you in them perked up your friend.  And welcome to Oreo too!  LB - my yin yoga instructor reads us a lot of snippets of Rumi poems while we're holding poses for 5 minutes - I wasn't familiar with his work before that.

I got out at 6am while it was still 67 degrees out and got my 3 mile run in.  Still humid though - was definitely covered in liquid awesome.

No stone yet . . . at the urologist yesterday I was teasing DH to just get a move on and give birth already - the dr said if it was a boy we could name it Rocky and if it was a girl we could name it Crystal - think he's used that joke a few times???  Loopy

Heidihill, we have a new'ish gym dance product here in the UK called FitSteps, created by Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite of 'Strictly Come Dancing'. Mary, can you husband work or is he home in pain.  It just reads as awful, with a sense of humor of course. Rumi is one of those that you are turned onto..my friend Mary in SA got me into his writings.  Good for you on the running.

Body balance, Pink Ribbon Pilates, we started back up from 6 weeks off and Iyengar yoga this afternoon.

Felt horribly nauseated this morning but got out of bed at 730am and went on my walk.  I was able to walk 2.98 miles this morning in 45 minutes.  I did my best under the circumstances.  I am now resting a bit and hoping I'll feel better in a bit.

    Have a great day everyone.

So good to read everyone's activities and progress.  Mary, hope DH is better soon and you get rest (I can only handle about one late or sleepless night in a row without feeling totally wiped). Ruth, cute kitty (nice to have a face to go with the name). Cheryl, at least you're working out!  My schedule got out of whack with DD's visit home (but it was well worth it!). Wonderland, we got the humidity back today (but omg was yesterday gorgeous!). Heidi, way to go on the tango!  I'd really like to find a dance class or two for DH and me prior to DS's wedding in 2016. Redheeled, I think a sub 15-minute mile is awesome!  If I walk that fast I get shin splints every time no matter how much I've warmed up those legs!  Lilac, I still want to come visit you some day in beautiful England. Kindergarten, you're smiling face comes through in all your posts - I'm so happy to have met you in person!

Voices (and loseit.com) got me on the treadmill again.  Thanks friends.

Welcome newbies and redheeled you are doing twice as long as me and I'm not, and have never, done chemo - way to go!  I did start to feel my shin cramping (which is why I actually stopped at 30 mins) and then in my toes but they went away after I stopped and stretched.  Don't think I've done much hydrating today and yesterday so probably that has a lot to do with it.  Mary hope DH gets relief soon.  Ruth, there's always something 'spicy' going on with you!  Badger, how's mom?  Don't want to forget her just because we finalized our 2015 date.  Give her a hug.  Cheryl, looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks (still on?)

    Night my sculpted friends.

Humid here too. The minute I went out I thought this will be a short walk but I decided I was going to be sticky whether I did a short or longer walk, and I needed to get out some work-related stress.  So we managed 35 minutes.  My dog pretty much decided to head for home before I would have.   He was hot too!

Smart doggie indeed! I fast walked/jogged this evening in the humidity. Lots of liquid awesome! My workout clothes really help. My top, shorts,  bra, and undies are made with breathable material. What a difference! This summer I bought this bra from Amazon and absolutely love it.

     http://www.yvettesportsbra.com/6008-back-closure-...

    The CoolMax material is awesome!

    Have a good evening everyone!

Edited: I deleted the Amazon link that I posted earlier. I bought the bra on Amazon for cheaper cost than what is listed on the above link.

Welcome redheeled. Way to power thru and walk anyway. Hope you feel better soon.

Ruth, what a cute kitty.  Wonderland, smart dog!! Mary, hope you get some rest  and DH delivers the bundle of joy soon.

Missed the gym yesterday due to after work obligations but was back on track today for bootcamp. Ready for a busy weekend full of chores and social activities.

Edited to add that I will say a prayer for Anne and think it is wonderful how the WWW showed support.

    I did 20 minutes core/waist/abs tonight.

Henry thought he should have equal time, so here he is sitting around looking crabby.

    Pretty kitties, Ruth!

Storms (impressive lightning) this morning didn't bring in cooler weather, they brought hot & sticky.  Got out for a walk after the sun set.  It was getting late, for me anyway, but I heard the Voices and did my 2.5 mile route.

Patoo, mom is all right, thanks.  Her health is good and she's getting the hang of the iPad so I'm a happy camper.  I see her Weds on lunch break and Fri for supper, then we phone chat on Sun.  She's so happy we're using the TS.  Will see her tomorrow and pass along yr regards! ♥ to all

Had another ultrasound treatment but my side is still a problem. I wore workout clothes and my favorite purple Brooks and said I needed to dress like this for REAL so now I can walk and do gentle stretching. At least it was a move forward, so I felt better.

Yes Patoo still on, finally got accommodation organized last night in Bridgehampton, I'll email you all the details (just in case you want to have a night in the Hamptons Winking) see you in 3 weeks, yippee.  Heidi Tango sounds exciting, I feel that with dance (especially Jam) you are using your brain to figure things out, the new Jam is insane you are are tapping your foot front side back side front and at the same time your hands are zig zagging up and down, yikes, it's like rubbing your head and patting your stomach.  Ruth your Henry is very very handsome. Mary your poor DH and I'll bet that doctor has used that line many times. Badger please add my best wishes to your Mom. Teacher you're right, if you dress the part your inner athlete will burst forth. I don't know how all you east coasters handle the humidity, we've had it this summer and it's miserable bleah!!!!!!

Went to a different gym tonight and did Sh'bam then they were having a 'teaser' class of Body Vive, Vive was the very first class I ever took so it brought back happy memories but of course over the years it has evolved and changed, again lots of liquid awesome.

Nothing new on the exercise front for this week although really looking forward to the hike + picnic tomorrow. Naches Peak Loop with stellar views of Mount Rainier. Should be great fun and I think there will be mountain flowers out.

Also signed up yesterday for the most fun event ever. My type of event. The Wine Country Trek for the last weekend of the month in Prosser. Features wine, good food, lots of cycling, and fun activities. The valley will be filled with balloons. It should be a blast. Things like lunch in vineyards, visiting farm stands, glorious scenery. Camping is included in this deal. My guy will be off in the wilderness, so will be doing this one solo. There is a salmon and roast beef feed with wine pairings for Saturday evening. Fortunately, the area has good espresso stands to get me going on Sunday.

Got a small bonus for some of the work I have been doing. So nice to be appreciated that way.

Lots to do today including getting tomorrow evening's dinner ready to go and the rest of the picnic items. I am making an oxtail stew. YUM, but will take some cooking time this evening. Ruth is right about cooking.....thinking "man bait". If all the guys I have met had any inkling, they would probably be lined up 4 deep!

Gorgeous, almost Indian Summer weather for this weekend. So excited. - Claire

I would be in the food line too!!! Loopy and the wine weekend sounds really fun!

Did Insanity; now I have to START packing for my weekend, I must have a packing phobia because I always leave it to the very last second (we take off in two hours.....yikes). It should be gorgeous, gorgeous here too. We are going to my  brother's house in the Minneapolis area (they are right next to the St. Croix River in a charming rather Victorian looking town, and my sister from NC is flying in....so it will be fun! Saturday, not sure about the day but we are going to the Twins game in the evening & Sunday we are having a family reunion with my uncles, aunts & some cousins from my mom's side of the family (who are really, really fun, awesome people). Monday...not sure...maybe walk around the hilly streets, shop whatever. My sister flies out that evening, so we will come home Tuesday. I will report in from my phone if I actually get in any exercising. Have a great weekend ALL! Much love! Ruth

RedHeeled - wow - I'm impressed.  I'm one of those that chemo flattened completely - it was all I could do to drag myself home from work and plop on the couch.  Making my way from the couch to bed was my workout for the day.  Take care - exercise if you can, but if your body tells you it just can't do it today, respect that too.

Ruth - Love the kitty pix.  Have fun on your trip.  Looks like you'll be seeing the Twins play the Angels - the Angels are my MIL's team so sorry to say she'll be rooting hard against your team.  If you sense someone sending negative vibes towards the Twins, the guilty culprit is an 86 year old woman living in California who is all of 4'9" and 90 pounds.   She may be little, but believe me, she is mighty!  WinkingClaire - the Wine Trek sounds fabulous!

DH has yet to give birth to baby Rocky or Crystal. He's working when he
can, but he's had to go home a few times when the pain got bad.
Fortunately we work in the same place (bizarrely enough our offices are
next to each other) so I can keep an eye on him and tote him home as
    needed.

Yoga DVD this morning - I could tell I haven't done yoga in over a week - I could hear my joints popping and cracking as I stretched them out.  Shocked
