Still feel him in the house every now and then. At least Jackson has accepted Princess without much fuss. Heck, he even lets Princess sleep on his dog bed!

Jwoo I was scrolling for something else.

This page is a teaching page put together for and by Ebayers to help each other on glass identification. This says 'section six' . Couldn't figure how to get to the other pages. It's on opalescent. Thought it might help you. Good luck on connecting

Rose, I've always said that anyone that wants to rotflol, even if they don't have kids. Should go and see the first games of the youngest age soccer & basketball kids. I suppose that applies to the young 3-6 y/o's at different seasonal thingy's.

Pee-wee football total different story , the parents were nuts. One walk through observing things. Both Greg and I agreed >>>>>>>exit stage left.

I was an older parent. DS was born when I was 34. I was 37 when I started to see these things. OMD laugh till you cry and pee.

Rose just go ...and see...and tell

Sassy- Ha Sometimes I have done that! Our city does a choir day at the state capitol and all these kids from every school come and sing their hearts out under a huge gorgeous tree. They do hand bells and it's little folks right up through highschool. I loved it when my kids were in it and you are right I should go again. Cheer them on! We have great music in our town. It's free and it's wonderful. I adopted one kid at 35, had my daughter at 37 and adopted again at 43! I am tired.

Right now I am so tired I just feel exhausted and stupid. I absolutely can not sleep lately. I am wildly tired and even with percocet and 15mg of melatonin last night - nada. I was up until midnight. I drank a glass of wine... nothing. Finally went to sleep and woke up at 3AM!!! I laid there until 5am and said - f... it and mde coffee, let the dogs out, made breakfst... This is happening more times then not. The meds do nothing anymore everything is pointless... ugh. It's hard to fall asleep and impossible to stay asleep! I have tried benadryl... valarian.... ZIP! It's making me crazy. My onc's office prescribed trazadone and I didn't want to take it because of side effects.. no deal on 1/2 ambien.. sigh.. things only work for a while then they stop. sucks just sucks. Bahh humbug.

    Hey Blondie you up too??

Not sure who to gift this too, but it's lovely. Fostoria --Colony pattern. That trip to the regular antique store was expensive. But did get some lovely things. Next time I'm taking sticky notes to leave for the consignment owners, for patterns and makers.(bitchy isn't it) They put prices on things without knowing makers and patterns. This was 16$ okay as RC has dropped the price to 16. Another consignment shop had it at 24$. If you have a Smart phone google Replacements.com before buying if you know the pattern. What's happening is Rc is dropping prices b/c I'm guessing sales are flat or dropping. Target and Walmart being the place for the new bride to buy.

    image

If you are looking for some exquisite pieces start scrolling RC.com  Think I'll give this to the hopefully new mom-in-law.

Sassy - You are sure right about Chevy's neighbor Eddie being very young when he was at Pearl Harbor. Looked up my FIL's age. He would be 99. He was also at Pearl Harbor as kinda was my MIL. Her dad was a civilian employee of the Navy - he was a watchmaker from backwoods KY. He worked on timing of torpedoes and bombs.

Everyone be aware of the flu onset even if you had the flu shot. And whooping cough. DH got a TDAP booster. I got Pneumovax, doc was out of TDAP when I was there. We each need to get the missing injections and get a shingles vac. January may be busy - eye surgery, mammo, vaccinations. But I have learned DO NOT use FSA dollars to pay for these since they are insurance eligible - was not a problem on vac. at PCP only at pharmacy. Need to get my gumption out and call DH's FSA provider and see how in the heck - if I can even do it - to get the FSA $70 dollars restored and get it billed out to insurance. Know FSA $ are pre-tax so for sure don't want that sent to me. DH says let it go - no not without a fight.

Spookie - nice hairdo. I need to give dog a bath. Not something I like to tackle. Don't think I can stand her until DH's day off on Friday. Agree with Sassy - I couldn't figure out what was curled toward front of sofa. Looked like part of another Spookie dog. Glad you enjoyed the Christmas concert.

Chevy - we were talking about you at the beauty shop. Sort of at least your profession. Shoes came up (4 of us me getting pedi other lady getting mani/pedi) and I said I had bought some new black shoes that looked like dancing shoes. Question - pole dancing? Hardy har har - no dancing like they wear in stage plays, strap, low-ish heel go with anything shoes.

Sassy - like your Chinese frog coat. Know nothing about Chinese clothing. Just tiniest bit about Japanese. Like the Teleflora vase. Almost looks like Lalique.

Rosie - I assume you've been thru all the can't sleep triggers - too hot (one of my prob - elec. blanket too high), too cold, too noisy. Write your problems on a notepad beside the bed. Maybe new special soft cozy sheets? Have you tried sleeping in a different place? Maybe on the couch. Don't know if it would even be comfortable. I used to fall asleep on couch on Fri. nights when I was working. Just couldn't make myself get up and go to bed. I have given Trazodone to hospice pts and for it's drowsiness properties. I thought it was usually well tolerated. Have you taken anti-dep. b4 and had a bad experience? I took Unisom when I worked nights. It did pretty good then for me. Wish I had some more wisdom to impart. What says the great sage Sassy?

Sas, you want to do pics, let DS give you a smartphone! Then it's easy! Can do from iPad too. Can do video too.

The concert again, cracks me up when the kids see a familiar face and start waving. I got AIDAN waving at somebody tonight on video. Wasn't us, or other grandparents, all together.

Rosevalleeeeeeeeeeeee, going to suggest what appears off the wall-----would have seemed that to me until thyroid went kafluey........... Ask for TSH, Free T3, Free T4. Then Let me know the results and I will suggest what to ask for. But be prepared it's going to be desiccated porcine thyroid hormone and a t3 extra. Your a nurse-----------I know your reaction is going to be ____________unknown. But I'm sleeping. You may have not noticed, I started this thread. I did. Insomniacs. I thought was going to be my demise. I so craved sleep. So, many nights, I ached for it. Sometimes 2-3 days in a row.

Now good. The body and mind are taking back what it needed. I sometimes sleep for many hours in day. It's not the sleep of depression. Been through that, this is different.

Anyways. there is a different route than we've been taught. I had to reach bottom before I accepted my doc's weren't doing me right.........then I went searching..............found a new way.

Sassy - I think this is the rest of the guides you were looking for. You've got me curious if there are other guides - like for cookbooks or Raggedy Ann.

I answer myself. Yes at the top is a box "all categories". It will narrow down search successively. Found both cookbooks (lots of stuff) and Raggedy Ann (not so much). Maybe tomorrow. Couch calling my name.

Little goats----go girl Fight it. I once fought a 13$ radiology bill for 2years out of principal that it should have been covered-won, I think they just finally wanted me to go away.

Now fighting a alarm system thingy- NEVER EVER BUY an ALARM system from MONITRNICS-------EVER----sales call HANG UP............

WWII--kids got in....if they worked at falsifying. An Uncle got in at 16, when it was found out they shipped him to Panama, rather than admit they screwed up. How many made it to other areas of conflict we will never know.

LOL's littlegoats "image well that wasn't what was supposed to be copied , but it is lovely so I'll leave it. HMMMMM maybe it means I should keep it LOLOLOL must think on that :)

What I was trying to copy was(let's see what comes up this time?) What says the great sage Sassy? Oh well that's it. I wanted magic

What were we talking about? Sleep AH hah----dear friend kayb has developed a beautiful grouping of supllements based on her drugs. She asked me to look at it. I did an analysis and it was superlative. But it was based on her individual drugs. I suggested it couldn't be shared b/c of the use with her individual drug use.

I did evidenced based research on her stuff and it was good.

    Sheesch I should post .............

Let me look at kayb's stuff and see what is universal.

We are in the holidays , if I forget----remind me, thanks

DBF fast asleep on the couch.

LMG --yes you found it. Ebay has put things together to help Ebayers identify what they are selling. Strange so many haven't taken advantage of it. But as buyers it's a boon. As new learners it's a boon. I hope they expand it even more.

For my ebay purchases, I haven't screwed up. But that's only b/c Ebay didn't let me.

I had a dinner party for 6. I was down to the last few minutes on an auction. People were all seated. I'm at the computer. Had to enter the last numbers.

I messed up. I entered 2000.00 instead of 20.00. I so totally freaked. Had no idea how to stop it. It closed said I was high buyer. Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiwas having a heart moment.

What I didn't know as an inexperienced Ebayer is the price goes above the last 50 cents or last dollar only. My 2,000 price didn't compute. It came up on the screen as "congratulations you have won" and then the price---20.00$. It took seconds to digest and for my heart to change.

I went back to the dinner party-heart still not right, but recovering

Jwoo thanks for PM'ing. I copied just incase I met my limit PM limit.

Hi Jen Thanks, No it's not the actual pic. The color is accurate which I have learned means Spring. the bird description is accurate. Tang design----open at the center completely to the end. i.e center front opening. Frogs--very nice. down to mid thigh or knee. Mandarin collar. Sleeves --mid sleeve with a 4-5 inch reverse grain cuff--------------lol not sure with that description I'm making any sense. It has a cuff that is closed and opposite of the rest of the sleeve. If I was a sewer I could use the correct word. On my cousin it went to ankle length. That's when I thought it might be a mans costume. Cousin is totally gorgeous thin and tall at 68.  I wouldn't think a Chinese woman to have the shoulder width and height, that's why I think it's a mans costume. I keep referring to costume b/c that is what all the Chinese info keeps using.

It came from the estate of a lifer service woman. The seller bought the seven garments from her estate. He didn't get any provenance.

I'm going to copy this in case i'm cut off from PM's  I'll post it on IT If that's the case. Thanks. So wish you could see the actual. My cousin was awe struck. You could see she felt elegant in it. It was fun. :) sassy

Sas- here is a great, and simple illustration of historical dress in China. http://www.theworldofchinese.com/2013/06/evolution...

If I could get a look at the actual item, with details of the seam work and accents, I might be able to narrow it down farther. Anything close to the modern qipao wont be more than 100-150 years old, but the material and craftsmanship will say a lot about who owned it and what it is worth. If it is loose and looks like it may have been part of a suit or layers, then you might be looking at an older piece. If the woman traveled, chances are she had it custom- made for herself while she was there.

Was in a choir twice. Once in my Sophmore year of high school and then in my 2nd year of college. Didn't mind the singing but the music we did, some of it was boring. Did a concert with the local symphony and the first two pieces we performed was terribly difficult. The last part of that concert was selections out of Handel's Messiah. The second concert we did was our Christmas concert which we did a few selections from the musical "42nd Street" and the rest was Christmas music. We had various members of the choir doing parts of the songs that they had tried out for to do as solos or with other people. I was chosen to sing a part of The Cherry Tree Carol to do with two other gals. Wish we had done Coventry Carol which we had done in high school instead of Cherry Tree Carol, like Coventry Carol better.
