Let the garden and yard sleep, it's too early; even in Wisconsin. Hopefully you will do great on Arimidex, you should feel less hot anyway!

Auroaya (((((((hugs))))))) to you and yours.
And you Claire - ((((((hugs)))))) to you too as your friend goes through the last phase. Glad you got to chat.
Kindergarten - hope your friend responds well to treatment. Tough to find it's already spread.
LB - congrats on your tests! I agree with Mary - you probably did better than you think, and the maturity, logic and reasoning that come with age can help immensely even though we may not be the best at book-learning any more (well, me, at least).
Ruth - good to see the WWW. You ladies amaze me with the commitment.
Cheryl - sorry about the tech problems.
I'm only on page 802 so will post my exercise and keep reading.
45 minute walks on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings. 15 minutes treadmill and 15 minutes stationary bike Monday and Tuesday mornings. Lots and lots of walking Wednesday evening. I was on a business trip to Columbia SC and my DD surprised me by driving down from Maryland Tuesday eveing!! So my DD, my co-worker and I knocked off work early on Wednesday and drove down to Charleston (one of my favorite places). We walked and walked, came across a dog park so DD's dog got to play for a bit, then we walked and walked some more. Showed them rainbow row, walked along the east battery, through the park and then wandered around the interesting neighborhoods looking at homes and old churches and graveyards, etc before heading back to Bubba Gump's for dinner (dog-friendly patio dining). A good 15-20 minute walk back to the car for the drive back to Columbia. Went to lunch with DD and co-worker on Thursday, then DD headed back to Maryland. No workout Thursday, Friday was work and travel (got home around midnight). Yesterday I was plumb beat and didn't do much of anything. Just got back from a 35 minute walk today.

Sounds like almost everyone got a bit of lovely warm weather this past week - YAY!
Chest x-ray came back normal but after 10 days of levoquin anti-biotic my cough is much, much better. I do still cough but not nearly as often and not nearly as uncontrollably. Just getting the junk out now.
I'm going to download a couch to 5K app on my phone to give myself a time-centered goal. Will let you know on day one and will try to check in daily. I've gotten way too much out of the habit. C25K may be a bit elementary for me to start out but that's OK.
Plan to have a BLET (blt w/egg) on pita bread and raw carrots for lunch this week, a banana at mid-morning and an apple in mid-afternoon. Actually took the time to shop and plan for some decently healthy, non-carb-loaded dinners. Keep those voices coming - I weigh nearly the most I've ever weighed in my life and need to get it under control.
Love to all!

I'm going to start a C25K again at some point, but right now with rads getting more and more painful, I think I'll wait. Walking is enough for now. DD and I went out for about 30 minutes this morning, before it got too hot out (we're having some unseasonably warm temps right now). DH is cleaning up one of our garden beds and mulching. So nice to see that looking better.

Another nice day here. 36 minute walk with the whole family today. I think its supposed to turn colder tomorrow so this is my excuse why i didn't sit down and pay bills or do taxes today! As Ruth said, take advantage of every nice day!
Sweet I just love Charleston in the spring. I have many fond memories of walking through town looking at the beautiful gardens in bloom behind the wrought iron gates.
Lilac, quite an achievement. So happy you passed!
Cassie and Badger I'm also aching to get out with a shovel and rake. I see so much I could get started on!
I think I forgot to post yesterday's exercise too. 27 minute walk yesterday. Good weather is so good for the exercise routine!

Hope you had a wonderful time Wonderland with the girls!!
Aurora, so glad to got to see your Dear Father before he passed! You are in my thoughts and prayers!!
Very warm here, but got some walking in!!!

Thank all for your prayers and thoughts. I am in no mood for exercise yet. I didn't go Thursday to the YMCA for my Livestrong class, especially because I would have had to take the regular transit bus and I had no energy, then just yesterday I switched from my arimidex to exemastane due to raising tm's and I didn't take a break in between so today I feel really sluggish.
Hopefully next week will feel better.

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day Lilacblue.
Ruth, hope your cold is better soon. Mary, hope the house sold quickly as it is beautiful. Aurora, hope this week is better for you.
Now allowed to exercise again post Lasik surgery so will get back to my regular routine this week. No real exercise today but plenty of household chores including sweeping the kitchen floor, vacuuming two levels of carpet and multiple loads of laundry.
Can't wait to get out this Spring and start my garden plus plant more flowers but have to wait another 6 weeks or so. Funny how playing in dirt is so therapeutic...LOL
Have a good night all.

Woohooooo LB congratulations and happy belated Mothering sunday. Welcome Sandie, I love Yorkshire the houseguest I have right now is from Harrogate. Hope you enjoyed your Les Mills day Heidi, I was going to go to one in San Francisco in May but we're having one here in OC in August so I think I'm just going to wait for that one. Sweet what a nice surprise getting to visit with your DD and especially in Charleston. Mary the house looks fantastic, but I don't see "my" room
how is Mikey liking the new place. Ruth congrats to your team and hope the cold doesn't take hold and hang on. Glad you've been cleared Odie and can get back to it. Aurora your heart healing is far more important than exercise, you have the foundation and will get back to it in time, sending (((HUGS))) and hope the new medication is easy on you. Just couldn't take it any more so went to the walk in clinic this afternoon as my toe had me in agony, I mean I know there is nothing they can do and they x-ray'd it and said it was healing and just do all the things I am already doing icing, buddy wrapping taking anti inflammatory pills but today was one of those "I want my Mum" days stupid I know one little toe causing so much grief

Did a Spin class yesterday and my young Vietnamese friend subbed Body Combat this morning so went and did that. The heat here is unbearable more like September than March.

Cheryl - your room is there!
It's the small bedroom with the wood paneling and the blue/green print bedspread. They call it an office/guest room in the slide show because the window is too small to legally call it a bedroom. I think when you and the other Sculpted Sisters were visiting we did so much and were all so worn out that you never even looked at the room - you just hit the bed! The realtor said they had 25 groups (couples, families) show up at the open house yesterday, including three buyer agents who had visited earlier in the week and came back with clients. So it seems hopeful. The realtor will start accepting offers tomorrow. Mikey is adapting to the new place reasonably well, but I think the two week course of Xanax to get him over the hump helped.
Between Sweet's cough and Cheryl's toe you both have really had those things hang on. Hopefully you're both turning the corner. Odie - congrats on the Lasik - I had it done 15 years ago and it was one of the the best decisions I ever made.
Three and a half mile run yesterday. I meant to do only a 3 mile run around the main loop in the community, but I forgot which little paths I taken and got lost coming back so I got in a little extra mileage! Lower body strength this morning. Nice to be getting back into a routine! Met our across-the-street neighbors - they're both 80 and were just coming back from a water exercise class. He's a runner - not sure how much he's doing now, but he has done the Marine Corps Marathon in the past, so he's a "real" runner!

Aurora, thinking of you. I hope you will do some nice things for yourself this week and pamper yourself a little.
Sweet, coughs are terrible. DH just went back to the Dr. again for some more drugs. Now with me hacking away too, it sounds like a tuberculosis ward around here!
Cassie, don't even try starting something new until you're done with rads. One thing at a time!
Odie, glad you have your Lasik behind you!
Mary, sounds like you may be getting multiple offers on the house! Yea!
Cheryl, I am going to give you the dreaded advice of, "Stay off your foot for a couple days." Wear sandals, no impact exercises, elevate & ice as much a possible. (Yes, I am qualified to give medical advice....I took a 3 credit Sports Medicine class in 1980
).I am lying low today (while I was taking some cold pills at 5 am, I went on the computer and put a 'do not call' note on the automated substitute website). I will go to yoga this morning, but see how I feel tonight before I decide on Zumba. I think a nap might be in order for this afternoon!

Sweet, Ruth, and Ruth's dh: Here's hoping that all of you improve quickly!
Cheryl: Sending good vibes that your toe pain is easing.
Nats: Keeping my fingers crossed that your house sells quickly.
Odie: Congrats on your successful surgery.
Hi All! I'm back from the beach. We walked, ate, laughed, played games, drank too much - we had a blast! Took a rest day today.

Count me in the down and out club this evening. Feeling kind of frazzled after the usual drama at work and not 100 percent today physically either ,which is not a good combo. Temps are still nice here so I walked 25 minutes but didn't really enjoy it or get refreshed so I am going to try a glass of wine and curling up on the couch!

I walked outside for 20 min and did 30 min of strength training.

Wonderland, glad you had a great time on your girl's weekend. Mary, sounds like the house should sell quickly. Cheryl, hate to tell you but Ruth gave you good advice. Hoping everyone feeling under the weather or blah feels better.
Never thought I would ever miss exercise but going to bootcamp tonight felt like coming home. Does this mean that I am officially a gym rat??
0 -
Ruth great advice and I am doing 'almost' all of them. Odie you are definitely a 'gym rat' welcome to the club
Wonderland your vacation sounds like it was wonderful.Did a Spin class tonight
0 -
Odie - yes my fellow gym rat comrade. TwoHobbies, I think there is something in how the planets are aligned because left field drama abounds here as well. Good to read of everyone having adventures, being active and "doing it". No usual lectures today so off to the gym for body balance and tonight, yoga with son.
PS: Hugs to you (((Aurora)))

Break out the cheese! Another Gym Rat is born!

Thank you LilacBlue for the hugs, they're sorely needed. Today I managed to go to the YMCA for my fitness class even though my level of energy wasn't all that great but I did an hour of aquatic aerobics and then 25 minutes in the machines at a very slow pace. I decided I will be traveling back to Mexico at the end of the month to see how I can help my mother with her pain and also making suggestions as to what to do now that dad's gone. My brother is with her and has convinced her to move to the city where he lives but I don't necessarily agree is the best for my mom, so I am going to go propose an alternative plan.
Take care all

Glad you were able to get over to the Y today, Aurora. I was there this morning too (just in a different state
). I was still pretty 'blah' from my cold but managed to make it through an unenergetic version of my Cardio Sculpt class. This afternoon I took the nap I had been threatening & felt better after that, so went back for Yoga tonight.0 -
(( Aurora ))
Back to bootcamp again tonight. Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone.

hi ladies! I would love to have some motivation to get on my elliptical!! I sleep very poorly at times but could handle at least 15-20 mins! Can't seem to get motivated. Any tips? Would greatly appreciate
0 -
Aurora - my DH is dealing with the same thing with his mom with his dad's recent death. Getting there in person to see what's going on and checking on your mom is a great idea. My DH did that a few weeks ago and both of them benefited greatly from the visit. Unless there's some urgent reason for your mom to move, she may be better off waiting a bit before making a major life change like moving when she's still in such an emotionally raw state after your dad's passing. I'm so sorry that you and your family have to go through this.
I've been fighting a cold for the last few days, so stayed home yesterday to sleep and feel a bit better today. I had a new green shirt that I planned to wear to work yesterday i honor of St. Pat's Day, but never got out of my sweats at home. On the good side, the realtor called - we have multiple offers on the house, so he's managing that to get the buyers to bid against each other. We'll meet with the realtor after work tonight to sort it all out. But it looks very very good that we'll get a contract signed soon.
Missy - promise yourself you'll post here everyday, whether you get on that elliptical or not. Even 10-15 minutes is great! And knowing you'll have to post everyday will help get you on that machine, because who wants to post that they did nothing that day!
0 -
Yup Missy, post every day whether you exercise or not, and pretty soon you will WANT to have something to report.
Mary, exciting about the house!

Well, the weather has gone back to 'normal' (whatever that is), there was cold with a rain/snow combination coming down this morning, so my walking ladies went back indoors & walked at the mall. Here is a picture of my good friend and I wearing the outfits we wore 20 plus years ago when we 'ran' together in a St. Patrick's Day race. We found them in our (now grown) kids costume boxes. We were quite impressed that we still fit into them...until we realized they had orginally been worn over sweatpants & sweatshirts. Ha!

3/18- did a visit with the personal trainer this am. I told her I wanted to "up my game with abs work" so we did a hour of killer abs work. I am going to so pay for that tomorrow and maybe worse by Friday. But I asked for it......

I did a 45 min cardio sculpt DVD. Once again, it took me an hour... But, I finished!!

Good for you, Summer!
Zumba & yoga tonight.
