    Hugs for all.

  • I usually text .2nd on a regular basis and know some others do also. She sounds like she needs our support to rally around her ( hope this is not offensive for you maddy ). So maybe some Pm's or card shower for her. She has def become one of my lifelines. Time to pay forward.

Also hoping everything is good with cami. Anyone talk to her lately. ?

Princess is doing good and up to her usual antics. Went up to my mom's in Rhode Island yesterday to drop off my nephew's birthday present and to pick up the fish tank stand that was my sister's. I treasure the things I have of hers. Each one brings back a piece of my heart that I lost when she passed away.

  • mombie so sorry. Your right when I use something of my mothers it brings back great memories.

I know she'd be smiling knowing that her stand will be in use again and that I'll take good care of it.

    Morning gals.....

Blondie... Okay, is "Michael Idiot" a Son or a Husband? Guess it doesn't matter... He is a dick-head. Period. Can't you just dump that "man" and put him out to pasture?

Would you be better off somewhere withOUT all that mess? I mean would it be possible to go somewhere else, where you COULD get public assistance? Sounds like this "HE" is the biggest problem.

It doesn't hurt anyone here when you vent... We need to do this.... And maybe one of us know-it-alls can give you some suggestion as to what would help you.

If we can just give you strength or hope, that things will get better for you! You need to be separated from this ..... what-ever he is to you....

When you get better, or stronger, can you make a plan? And then get help becoming more independent? I'd like to come out there and kick some-one's a$. I KNOW you are younger than I am... but just never give up hope.

I just hate when someone is dragging someone else down... And who is George? A dog or cat?

This ("man")?? is controlling you and your life... It's like he has this power over you, and can dictate what happens in your little corner of the world. He can't... I have a good mind to call Judge Judy. She will kick his a$ and throw him to the curb. That's what he deserves.

Okay now 222222222222222222nd! WTH? I mean WTF????? I just lose track of you.... I'm TRYing to fix these gals up, and I forget you got those different kind of probs! Is it that family? Oh, we ALL know that one.

We can work on more than one of our gals at once. So what IS this stuff that you are going through... If we can't "fix" it, we can at least listen.... and then tell you what WE would do... I have gotten some GOOD advice from the Sassmiester... Damn good thing I listened too...How can I be the oldest one HERE and still love to hear what someone else says I should be not doing, or should DO?

And what kind of "been sick for a week" IS this? YOU are in a "cell" ??? I mean like Phylliknowsalltoowell? What did YOU do? All these women around here, I can't keep track!

That's good Beaches... The Whole Damn Shit Show! That should be a new topic.... it WOULD make people laugh. We could post ALL our worries and problems and cancer shit there... Oh wait.... that's what we do here.

Okay, I'm done... except I heard from my old friend Theresa... We talk about every other day, or we go see her every week....

Her Eddie is in a mess... Just going down-hill fast.. She called me and cried... I know he is 92, but losing your life-long love, just has to be the worst. He is now in a nursing home, out of Assisted Living where SHE is, then to the Hospital, and now the Nursing home is thinking they can't help him anymore, and is meeting with the family Monday, to discuss Hospice..

I don't think he will make it even that far... Just one thing after another... and Theresa is holding onto hope, and all I can do is listen... I just tell her "You never know... maybe he will get a little better, or maybe he won't, but God is watching over him", and blah blah.... And then she sobs...

I tell her I think he is just "tired".... and maybe he doesn't WANT to eat, and he is maybe not thinking straight, and then I tell her how this happened to my Grandma, and it just hurts to watch it.... but that "they are taking care of him".....

She knows without anyone telling her, how this is almost the end of his life, and everything is shutting down, and each day will be a little worse... but hopefully, pretty soon, he won't KNOW what is going on, and that will help her understand......

I told her you want ME to go over there and raise hell with those nurses? And she laughs!

Man, I just want to get hit by a truck, and not have to go down-hill inch by inch.... Love you guys......xoxoxo

Good Morning my lovely ladies--I know  no one is talking to me, it's been so long and I am sorry.

I didn't catch up at all so, I really don't know what's going on but if someone has a truck I could drive to Chevy's house and make her wish come true. Sorry Chevy u know I couldn't resist hat one.

Oh Blondie wht a mess u'r in and I hate to hear that for u. And yes who is Michael the freeloader, why do u even claim him for food stamps if he's not really doing anything for u--it's not like he's paying rent, in fact he doesn't seem to be doing anything for u. So why count him in at all. We all know money isn't everything but if u have it u'r never in a boatload of shit. Everything is easier and if u don't have u'r health on top of that, it's worse and u know I know frm experiece too. And BTW u never complain so complain away Missy u dserve to.(((Blondie)))

Welcome to all the newbies, this is a wonderful group of caring intelligent (shut up Chevy) ladies who care,

Patty u'r not still in the hospital are u? I hope not.

And Phyloexcon----back in the joint again, no I didn't say back to the joint, altho in most states it's still illegal, OK don't get me started on that one. Chevy should be rolling in that stuff and rolling period. But nooooo.

I really hope u'r all doing decently t least, I haven't gotten fired yet can u believe that--I sleep right thru the phone calls and call back. But that's so wrong I know. I would have fired me a long time ago. And soon I'll be getting 2 phones for 2 different companies (owned by the same person. Oh I can see the confusion already altho he promised to mark the phones completely, but that won't help me I'm sure.

I do want to wish u all (who celebrate it) a very Blessed Easter and a warm peaceful day.

Blondie- listen to Chevy! Throw his ass out, he' a selfish kid. Just because he's your kid doesn't mean you have to put up with it, or claim him, or let him live there. I was just wondering if getting a room in a boarding home for seniors wouldn't be a much better place then a private apartment. They have some stellar ones out here that have very nice reputations. The folks who run them do so as a business, but tend to be very compassionate folks. Then you could pay for just your private room and board. There might even be medicare dollars towards it considering your health needs. You have MUCH more freedom in a board and care then a nursing home. Different state rules etc. There would be someone around 24/7 if you have the need and someone to get meds etc. There would be folks to talk to too. Although I would seriously sign up for hospice to get them into the mix. They are required to have so many volunteer hours that would help you tremendously.

2ndtime around- I didn't know things were bad. I am sorry. I hope that what ever ails you is a short term thing. We have all had a terrible flu these last 10 days. DH lost 2 days work, sore throat cough fever. Now oldest kid has it.. the crud. UGH. I still cough myself inside out every morning until everything gets up and out of my lungs.. but then I feel better.

Camilegal- how do you juggle 2 phone lines and 2 jobs! Whew.. that's way harder then pole dancing (no offence Chevy;-) ) I hope you are well. I just love the teasing banter back and forth between you and Chevy. Reminds me of the three stooges. hilarious.

Patty get better! Thanks Holeinone for the "Whole Shit" comment since we all know just what that entails! I will play more with the settings.

Be well everyone. (((((HUGS))))) to whoever needs one.

Mamma.... I reported them, as soon as I saw it.... Thanks Mods.... Someone always trying to sell SOMETHING!

And who is this back with us? The CAM??? Yes Cam, we need you here, or just anywhere for that matter.... I can't fight all these battles by myself, it's just too much for one girl to handle....

Speaking of "joints"..... You know I have some Hemp seeds! Bought them when I was making those health drinks with green things? Only I like the sweeter fruit drinks better..... ANYway, I now put those seeds in my Goat-cheese mix, with seasoned steak salt, and Chia seeds.... I mash it all together, and just WAITing for some kind of "high"...... but Noooooooooooooooo! Nothing.... It just takes good.... I put it on those delicious "Mary's gone crackers" Crackers! It is just the best snack.

But I think Hemp is some sort of plant like Marijuana.... Have to research this.... Cammi, why don't you do it for me? I am just too busy saving the world.

And you hope we are all doing "decently"???? When did you ever hear THAT word? That word is not in our world.... not in our realm of comprehension...... In other words.... doesn't pertain.

And you mean you might get confused.....????? I mean with all the phones? As long as you don't get your "dial me I'm available" numbers, you will be fine.

Rosie!!!!!!!!! THAT was funny! We almost posted on top of each other! We all need to go rescue Blondie! That who-ever he is, is a low-down nit-pickin a$$-holt.

Don't go listening to Cammi, or pretending you think she has a "job".... It's one of those phone for pay.... or I mean pay for phone "work" ...... So now she has 2 accounts??? And all I can do is pole dance!

  • I didn't know advertising places would try to insert themselves here. I guess some will try anything.

There are a few gals who haven't posted since I started joining everyone. Hello to you!

I won't be around much the next couple of days. Taking my brother to the airport today. He came out from Utah for two weeks to help drive me to rads everyday. I think it was hard for him to see his baby sister going through a mess, but he sure was sweet and supportive. I'm going to miss having him around.

Easter celebration got moved to my inlaws. I really wanted it at my house so we could start making good memories here, but I guess that will have to wait. I'm still too tired to try hosting anything yet. I'm glad I did Easter Bunny basket shopping quite a while ago. I can still make the kids happy with some little surprises. :) At least I adore my inlaws. It will still be a good and happy holiday.

Patty--I'm glad things might be looking up.

2nd--Sorry you've been sick for a week. Are you improving I hope?

Blondie--I'm relieved that the Walmart trip or getting some food/needs taken care of finally happened. And I agree with the others, we are glad to hear both the ups and the downs. It's good that we can all help carry each other along.

Mommyof2--I love having things like that around that help us keep loved ones in our hearts. My dad passed four years back. I don't have anything big, but I have some little things that I use every day that give me a smile each time.

  • Breaking out of this hospital sometime today not gourde the sooner the better

Gave ci a shoutout and she appeared. Yes!

2nd. Hope I didn't offend you. Was just saying we all need support and wanting to make sure you get it. I respect you.

    Hugs to all

Blondie- very glad to hear you got to Walmart. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to go get things you can choose yourself to eat. My friends who helped me with rides for a month after my big abdominal surgery said "we can pick things up for you", but I needed to get out of the house and wanted to pick my own food. So I know how good that feels. It made me realize how much independence you loose when you cannot drive your car.

Also good that you are having the assessment done too. I think you are going to end up with some new resources to help you have better care. I like some of the other ideas here about you finding a different living situation where you can get better care. The twins can go figure out their own lives.

I don't come from a family that has ever shown up for me much either. I have always been fortunate to have a great community of friends who have helped me through many tough times in life. What is that old expression, "friends are God's way of apologizing for your family?"

Patty- good news that you will be going home again. Are you feeling better?

Cami- good to hear from you. How is Joey doing with his music?

2nd Time- sorry you have been sick. Wishing you better days.

Told my sister's kids that I have the fish tank stand and they are thrilled. My niece is happy to know it is with someone who will take excellent care of it. Just gotta give it a good cleaning and polishing once I get it in place before I put the tank on it.

  • Momof2--What kind of fish will you put in the tank?

  • Chevyboy
    Chevyboy Posts: 10,258

Mom2.... Are you raising tropical or like the fancy gold-fish..... The thing with tropical, at least here in this cold-in-winter State, is you have to have a heater, and you don't with those beautiful gold fish! I've had both, and loved them all.... Make sure you use those drops that kills the chlorine in the tap water.

What size is it? I had everything from little bowls of fish to a 55 gallon tank.... Make sure by the time you are setting it up, that it is exactly where you want it, without too much sun-light.... otherwise you will have a build-up of algae.... And after it is all set up, with water, plants, and the pump and filter running right, let it set at least over-night, to get rid of the chlorine... Before you put the fish in. And you won't have to use those drops.... just everytime you add fresh water.

When you bring all the fish home, let the opened bag, set in the water on the top of your tank, to equalize the temperature, from the water they are in. Then just gently let them swim out.... Your pet-shop will show you what kind of food to feed them....

If you have any questions, I will try and help.... I used to LOVE watching my tanks... I even raised Angel fish.... sold the babies, but man, THAT was time-consuming.... And not for just the casual new-hobby type of person.... Shocked

Hi everyone, sorry I've been mia lately, but on occasion I will lurk. Been so busy with writing, researching, family stuff, working, etc...
Love those pictures Sas. Who is the person in the framed photograph with the dress on? I probably missed your description of that.
Geez Patty, you've been in the hospital a long time. I bet you are happy to be getting out of there. You should have called on us to help you break-out, or at least party when you do.
Hey 2nd, you lurking out there? Hope things are going better for you. We will have to catch up cause it's been awhile.
Hi Chevy, are you and Cami still bad mouthing each other? I need to check in more. I miss the banter.
I'm sleeping better, amazing....so haven't lurked in the middle of the night lately.
Miss all of you, and sending out hugs. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter.

    Hi Ladies.

Patty u should be home by now, I hope so and u'r resting comfortably in a cozy place.

Hi sweet Jazzy, yes Joey is actually still playing and says he likes it still but a bunch of kids already dropped out, so who knows, the other nite he did his practicing in my room, well the squeeking has diminished a lot so it wasn't horrendous for me, but he still cracks me up all the time---He's so sick the last couple of days but he stays here in my room and cuddles--we're both on Anti-B's so I figure it's OK.

Why is my puter double spacing,? Jeez one day I'll figure it out.

Well, well, well not only is she a pole dancer and a chicken expert, now she's sounding fishy---is there no limit to her expertise? She thinks not, I guess. No names were mentioned.

I have several tetras, a betta and a couple cat fish in my tank which has a heater. Just switching it from where its currently sitting to my sister's stand. The funny thing is that in the summer when it gets so hot, I shut the heater off and the water temp stays right where it should be because of how the house is situated with the back getting the sun first.
