Here too Jazzy! Just a slow steady rain....45 degrees out.... Glad I got the grass-seed down! Perfect weather for the plants.

I've cooked up a pound of thick-sliced bacon pieces to put in gravy.... for the bisquits and mashed potatoes...... Will put hard boiled egg pieces on top.

That was my favorite Sunday Morning breakfast when I was little.!

Jazzy, the same storm must have moved east. We had much needed rain on Friday. BTW, thank you for the kind offer.

Hi1, doctors need to be sensitive and choose their words wisely. I can relate to the PTSD. Any pain throws me into a panic mode. Was diagnosed with uterine fibroid(near my bladder)and hemorrhagic cyst on right ovary last month. It sounds crazy, but I was relieved with the diagnose because I know now what was causing me occasional pain/pressure. I was told I have mutated Tp53 gene ( they don't know if there is any link between this mutated gene and breast cancer yet). This mutation put me at risk for bladder cancer among others....wonderful.

Sweet Susan, shouldn't you be resting so the Zometa could do its job to help your body be strong so itcan fight the beast?

2nd, it's wonderful that your daughter got into the nursing program! I heard that the Sac State nursing program is not easy to get into. No matter what, a mother's love remains regardless the disappointment

Leaning towards a nice shade of rose. Want something that will darken the room at night, but be not to dark during the day. Thinking about re-painting the room about late May as I hope to be able to help hubby with the painting by then.

Mommy- I did a whole bedroom (now called a wellness room) in pink. It is more like pepto bismal pink though. I love it. Very soothing!

Still raining off an on, downpours to sprinkles. I have some potato leek soup simmering in the crock pot. Spicing this batch up with some green chili this time as it can be a bit bland. Nice to have something cooking on a rainy day.

Mamaray- I have such fond memories of teaching my kids to ride bikes and their Dad running along, both of us schrieking encouragement! One of those sacred rights of parenthood! Hope it goes well. We found that bumps, falls, tumbles etc were best on short cropped grass until some balance was learned - then the hard sidewalk and elementary parking lot. Good luck and may it be a great experience.

Yep finding a nice soothing color for a bedroom is a challenge. Wish you luck. Different light changes color so much too. Jazzy- wonderful that you are getting all that rain. We need more rain here, down so much. I got up at 4:30am fell lightly back to sleep, got up 6:30 let all the dogs out. I was soooo tired.. long nap, just crashed. DH said I was sawing wood! Ha ha. Be well ya'll.

Jazzy, I always feel good when I wear pink. Won't wear it during October, however.

Love pink too (magenta) and will try to remember not to wear it in October.
Jazzy, that's one cheerful room. Painted one of the wall in my older daughter's room pink one time, but had to repaint back to white because her room faced south.  I just sweated bullets looking at the wall in the summer.

I have always liked pink. My spare bedroom has always been pink toned so I decided to do the room that pink for the space I have created to meditate, read, do yoga, etc. I am not into the Pinktober thing either.

The bedroom is currently a shade of wine and when we first painted the room, I loved it and was fine with it, but then the funky stuff started happening, it totally turned me off the color

Jazzy! That room looks so CLEAN and pretty! I love pink too.... It was my Mom's favorite color.... Our girls gave me a pink rose bush after she passed away.... That reminds me.... I have to get another one.... it didn't make it after a few hard Winters.... I'll figure out what I did wrong, and try again.

Talking about painting..... I'm going to paint our back-door a real pretty blue.... like a "sail" blue.... It says that on the can. I've seen a bunch of pretty painted doors on Google Images, so I'm goimg to see what I can do.... Maybe a darker blue for the frame? I haven't figured it all out yet.....

Wow!! Miss a few days on this thread and it's pages ahead of me!! Tried to skim through and catch up a little. Since pink was mentioned, I will say my DD2 has a hot pink room. I had a hot pink room when I was little...still have the afghan my grandmother made for me that is pink, red and white. Those were the colors in my room - not sure how I came up with it, but that's what it was!

Crazy stuff at my house...DD2 still has the yeast issue, although it seems a little better. They did some immune system bloodwork on Friday. Bought her one probiotic, but think I need to look for a different one. Been reading online and they talk about needing two strains in it for yeast and the one I bought only has one. Hope the bloodwork comes back soon...I'll be surprised if it shows a problem, but still a little anxious about it.

Hubby's kidney function is a little low based on his bloodwork so he had to have an ultrasound today. He only has 1 kidney, so it's concerning for sure. He was trying to read the face of the technician, but she was tight-lipped - no clues from her! They were done quickly...I'm hoping that is a good sign, but I suppose I don't know. So, we're waiting on those results, too.

On a happy note, my best friend since elementary school is stopping by tomorrow afternoon on her way through town! I'm very excited about it - we'll be going out to dinner and are looking forward to catching up. My parents found some more boxes of my stuff from when I was little and she is bringing them to me so I will be taking a trip down memory lane for sure. I suspect most of it will be trash, but at least I said something before they threw everything away and I can look at it before I throw it away.

    Have a great day, all!!

Thinking of either a deep mauve color or a deep rose color for the bedroom

Mel- how cool about your childhood BFF visiting. I reconnected with my about five years ago and they visited when they were out this way and also went to see them in Texas one time too. Nothing like old friends who knew us when, eh? I find with old friends, you pick up where you left off and are not explaining so much to them as you do with new friends.

I hope everyone in the family is feeling better soon too. Lots going on there.

Mommy- those colors sound nice. Will you get a paint wheel from one of the paint stores?

I had an awesome Skype/phone interview today for some work I thought I wanted, but now KNOW I really want. Waiting to hear more if we are pulling the trigger. Fingers crossed!

Mel, sorry it is all still going on. Soloray superdophilus powder. Usually I buy in capsules, but with that thrush I had to take it by the tablespoon. Are you washing the toothbrushes. Supplements are under extreme scrutiny. Companies are not policing themselves. You have to be extremely careful who you buy any supplement from.
I turned my dads renal numbers around when he was on dialysis. If you want we can talk eventually.
