Yes, ladyB.  Just when I managed to get pretty good at the 30 minutes, the next time I went she said its better to do 45 now.  I half expect it to be 60 per day next time I go in December!  Just to torture me.

Ruth that snow word again.  It's horrible.  I think we are out of the snow danger here but still toy with 40s some nights.

20 minute walk and 25 minute bike ride today.

Beautiful picture....which makes me very depressed when I look out at my view. Do you think there is any use covering plants if they are sitting in a couple inches of ice water?

It might be worth a try, Ruth.  All you have to lose by trying is getting cold and wet yourself.  Darn winter!

Well, they are covered. Now if the strong wind gusts don't blow away the blankets....stay tuned!

Wow Ruth that is a real switch up in your weather and your poor plants. Gorgeous picture TH.

I did Body Pump and Body Step class this morning, funny thing happened in Step, I am wearing a belt to track all my movements as I have been asked to participate in a blind study for a new medication and for this week before I'm accepted in I have to wear this belt and as I was working out the belt came flying off, oops hope I didn't damage it, I'll call them in the morning and let them know but it was funny as I was going one way and the belt and apparatus flew the other.

Finally got out for a walk today. My exercising has been so sporadic. My goal is at least 150 minutes a week, but I haven't been making it lately. I'm not sleeping well, and that is not helping. But I did go out this morning, so that's something. And I danced to 2 or 3 songs at prom last night while chaperoning. ;)

I am back from my weekend adventure. The Cowiche Crawl went just fine, and yes, it was almost a crawl out of the canyon. But I ran the rest and did a lot better than some other participants. Then wine and croissant sandwiches....yum. Ended up with pizza for dinner as went to the Roots and Vines festival in Yakima.

Got a bit of extra exercise pitching the tent as quite windy at that time, so like being attached to a parasail prior to finding a sheltered spot where things went a bit better. Then I had to retrieve the bag that holds the tent as had blown half way down the hill!!! But slept just fine in it.

Up early this AM and got a fine start for the Yakima Canyon Ride. Learned that a guy from the Crawl bagged the ride as too sore! I am gloating as I felt just fine and was very strong riding today (not to mention that this guy was most likely decades younger than me). Not sure if because no more anastrazole, or if because I am just stronger. I'll take it.

Got in a nice hill climb up to a winery (with bicycle) for a wine pairing with chocolates break on the way back. (Much more tasty than the Powerade and energy bar break I had a few miles later.)

Back home with all sorts of wine, and 4 lb of asparagus from a stop on the way back. Washing my fragrant exercise clothes. Way fun time, and yes, I will do this again.

It was a blast to drive my car too....new tires really do make a difference. Pictures later. - Claire

    Great visual Cheryl.

I didn't reach my goals, but that was because I did not sleep well night before last; and so I wasted time laying in bed trying to sleep. I guess I need to accept that sometimes I just won't sleep.

Welcome Mommy@home. Bet you get more exercise than you realize with your busy schedule.

Ruth, seriously what is up with your weather? Hope you get sunshine and nicer days soon.

Claire, sounds like you had a great weekend.

Cheryl, hope you didn't take anyone out when the belt went flying.

Love all the beautiful photos. Great walking areas.

Ran a 5k color run with my bootcamp group today plus pulled weeds, ran a few errands and started working on the mound of laundry. Have some scrub and sculpt in my future too. Over 18,000 steps today. What a day! The color run was alot of fun albeit messy.

Ruth oh my goodness! That's horrible weather to be dealing with! and in the middle of May! Please try and keep safe don't worry about the plants and keep us posted. (I haven't reported any exercise because I haven't been to the gym in two weeks, my daughter is studying for her finals and can't take time to drive me to the Y but hopefully starting next Wednesday that will change).

5/17- got out for a nice 35 min walk around the neighborhood tonight and hit over 10K steps again for the first time in over a week. Tomorrow back to the gym again and continue to get back on track.

Wonderland, you look great!  Love when people share pics.  Keep them coming!

Sooo... my Fitbit arrived Friday.  I am in love with it!  I got up at 9:30 Saturday morning and had 10,000 steps in by noon.  Finished the day at just over 20,000.  My primary exercise Saturday was a 4.5 mile run but squeezed a couple walks in too.  Did a Fitbit Weekend Warrior challenge with my little brother and kicked his butt.  Ha!  Finally something I can beat him at.  He ALWAYS wins when we play Scrabble or Words with Friends.

Sunday I did a ton of housework.  Got a workout running up and down the stairs.  First-floor laundry room doesn't really help you when the bedrooms are all on the second floor. SickTiredGot two brisk walks in logging about four miles.

Today is a beautiful day in southeastern Wisconsin.  Planning a trail run over my lunch hour today.  We have a nice little wooded trail right behind my office building.  Lots of wildlife to see--ducks, geese, rabbits, and even deer on a good day!  Have a good week all!

I walked for 30 minutes around the lake tonight. My goal is 30, Monday through Friday. I was glad the storm held off til after even though it was 89 degrees.

Went to yoga this morning and zumba tonight. It is still really cold but at least the precipitation has stopped. Claire, it might be too cold for even you to picnic! In the 20s with winds gusting to 35 mph from the north....so it feels even colder. We have goofy weather, but this is extreme even for us!

20 minute walk for me today. Cassiecat and dunesleeper sometimes I find the exercise helps me sleep but it isn't 100 percent effective. It's hard to do when you are tired.

Nice pictures Claire. It sounds like you had a good time.

Getting a cool breeze from ND tonight as we transition from warm steamy to cool. Hang in there Ruth California is in your future

TwoHobbies, I am not meeting most of my goals; but I love my fitbit anyway. I might just adjust the goals down a little, but just having it reminds me to walk more and eat less. I had hoped to lose 10 lbs by the end of this week, but I'll get lots of exercise trying on clothes to see if I have anything decent to take on the vacation. Danube here I come! And I'll get those 10,000 steps in exploring a world so different from my own.

How does this fitbit gadget work? I think it actually picked up (at least most) of my steps while mowing the lawn this past Friday. When I mow the lawn, both hands are on the handle. I don't swing my arm. Any tech geniuses out there?

    Thanks.

Running out the door, so just wanted to post that I did my half hour walk today. I am averaging 4-5 days per week. Wish I could do 6 but it's just not realistic with my schedule these days.

I did a 30 minute walk around the lake tonight. I need to plan a daytime exercise tomorrow as I'm out tomorrow night for dinner. I'm finding exercise is helping me sleep deeper so it's also starting to provide some motivation To continue.

To small steps forward for us all! Nerdy
