LB you are truly amazing, oak trees from little acorns grow PRP is your little acorn and thank you for sharing the Chelsea Flower Show garden and TH thank you for the link, what a beautiful tribute.

No formal exercise today as I had to work but I have been lugging boxes and have had to lift and stack over 120 20# mail trays, all I can say is 'oh my aching back' and I have to go back at it tomorrow.

Jazzy-excellent on 17k! TwoHobbies, I get the same hit from the sculpture too and works on so many different levels. The worlds from the Bowie song Changes comes to mind: Turn and face the strain..Cheryl, thank you for your kindness. Passed and completed the level 3 gp exercise referral course yesterday, now to practice, practice BB#68 and send in film for final mark. Son is on term break for a week, so he will most likely sleep till 2pm like yesterday. Husband is mowing the back garden while I chill with 3 Sunday newspapers to read. Later, local talent art show in village barn and early evening, next door 91 year old neighbor Cliff will join us for first steak barbecue of the year.

Got to early morning (8:15am) yoga class that included many hip openers and teacher talked of yoga essence: letting go of fear, ego and expectation.

hi all, been off the boards to focus on work & exercise. Once I log on, I'm here for an hour or more.

Got caught up on posts, so proud of everyone's accomplishments!  Jazzy LOVE the pets video.

Congrats LB you go girl and Cheryl love your post about PRP being a little acorn that will grow.

Exercise this week: M&T helped a friend with a bathroom remodel after work, demo one night & paint another; W&Th walked 2.5 mile route after work; F left work early to take mom to garden shop then have supper, was so nice when I got home walked for an hour in evening air redolent with lilacs.  Gorgeous here yesterday.  Walked to farmers market in the morning, picked up some rhubarb and a lovely bar of handmade organic milk soap in calming coriander, did two hours of Garden & Sculpt - that flash of white coming from the upper Midwest was my legs in shorts for the first time this year - then walked again after supper.  My lazy treat for today is to finish a book I picked up at Goodwill for a buck fifty: Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer, a personal account of the Mt. Everest disaster of May 1996.  Got half read by midnight and will finish today.  Well-written and compelling, also interesting re: commercialization of mountain climbing.

Raining today but we're grilling mushroom & Swiss brats tonight mmm.

Oh my, I really truly love ALL of US, and always feel so happy and inspired when I read this thread. Heart

We had a great time at the ballgame yesterday (if Natsfan was reading I would give a long report about the fantastic fielding....for those who don't know, she is now battling the after-effects of a broken hot water heater in their new house.....sadness). We won the game and are now going to the state tournament! I celebrated the day by eating all the ballpark food I could shovel down and most of a bag of sunflower seeds.

Badger, I am going to get a spray tan before I head to California on the theory that brown varicose veins look better than white ones. Loopy

i took a quick look at some maxi dresses at Walmart today - they were all size 3!!!!!!

several hours of yard work yesterday. Today was church, a little laundry, then off to grand rapids (60 minutes away for a graduation party and a little window shopping for flowers and patio furniture.

Not much in the way of formal exercise for me lately. I'm chock full of good intentions though 😊

Wonderland- i hope that stomach bug is nicer to you then it was to me!

I am making progress with my hip at PT and I actually got to run for 13 min on Thursday; the first time since Easter. They have an anti-gravity treadmill at their office and they set it to 85% of my body weight. It reduces the strain on your joints. Very space age and very cool.

I have missed walking and running so much! I can't believe those words are coming out of my mouth but it is true.

I have hit 15,000 steps 3 days this past week and made my goal of 10,000 several times as well.

Badger: I am currently rereading "Into Thin Air" for the 3rd time. I agree with everything you said about it! "Everest" (a movie based on the book) will be release on September 18. I already marked it in my calendar. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2719848/

Ginger: Glad you're making progress with your hip. The treadmill sounds cool. Luckily for me, the stomach bug has moved on!

Ruth: Congrates on your godson's win!

LB: LOVE LOVE LOVE the garden! Thank-you so much for introducing it to us.

Sweet: Hope you had a good time at the graduation party.

Hi everyone! Yesterday I mowed for 1 hour and 15 minutes plus walked/ran later in the evening. Today was church, nap, and then walk/run.

Sounds like you had fun at the ballpark Ruth. LB congratulations, I will think of you tomorrow cause I'm going to Body Flow.

Did RPM this morning, had a really grumpy old man on the bike next to me bleah, but the class itself was terrific somehow I have to get this program back into my rotation.

I needed a bit of downtime yesterday so swapped out a long ride for a 5k run. Ran into a coyote along the trail, followed by three horses and riders. Got to talk to one of the horses.

I think I will ride into Redmond today which will give me some hill work and not require my leaving the house. Destination will be the bike shop for a new spare tube to replace the one I used Saturday. (Did a 35 mile ride that day.) I haven't actually done this ride before so will be interesting to finally do it.

I also have a bit of database work to do plus emails. BLECH!!!

Succeeded in snagging a great pair of fleece cycling tights yesterday. This is the time of year to buy such items as old inventory. I don't care....just want them to fit and keep me warm next winter.

I am enjoying the turquoise spring coat I snagged on Saturday. Not that I needed it, but a real designer piece from the 70s....timeless style and so gorgeous. It will be fun to wear.

Have a fabulous Memorial Day. - Claire

Yesterday I rode my bike for 20 minutes before it rained.  Then the rain stopped so I raked the back yard of the excess grass from last lawn mowing, until it rained again - 30 minutes.  So then I gave up on yard work for the day and went grocery shopping.

Today I walked 40 minutes around the lake and then a 20 minute dog walk when I got back.

Way to go, Ginger¨! That antigravity treadmill looks really good. I had to mention it on the Stage IV Fitness thread. Thanks!

I'm almost back to normal so am thinking of starting some kickbocking with a trainer at the gym. Yesterday and today, my exercise was badminton with DD.

Checking in after a long and wonderful weekend. Completed the challenge workout Saturday morning and felt great! Was proud to have completed the workout with relative ease.. Woke up Sunday morning feeling like I had been run over by a truck SickTired. Ran errands anyway and spent today relaxing by the pool.

Lilacblue, love the sculpture garden. What a beautiful tribute.

Cheryl, love the idea of the matching maxidresses. Now that's a Kodak moment!! You are the woman doing several classes per day!!

Glad to see everyone feeling better and continuing to move. Happy Memorial Day everyone. God bless our service members particularly the fallen.

Yikes! I've been away too long! Needed to get back to hear the voices! I will definitely look into a Fitbit or something, thanks for the input. We are back rowing on the water after a very long winter, went out Saturday morning for a spectacular row. Need to stay in touch with you all more often! I guess my life is so busy again that time gets away from me, so that is good but I miss the converstations.

I am short so, on me, most maxi-dresses drag along the ground.....

The YMCA was closed so I did a FIRM DVD when I got up this morning. It was raining here too so we had an indoor picnic. Still fun & I still ate too much!

aw, handsome fellow, Ruth. Cheryl I not only have the Monkees song in my head;I'm imagining the ladies in 60/70s garb ie bell bottoms and paisley hippie shirts. Now that would turn heads. BTW Ruth I have the same problem w Maxis. They do not seem to come in petite and I refuse to hem or pay a tailor.

Odie I relate to the hit by a truck feeling as I fad it yesterday. TOok Two aspirin and feel better today

Welcome back Rhody. I bet getting out on the lake for the first time feels wonderful.

I walked 28 minutes this evening and was lucky to get in just before a brief rain shower.

As I am barely 5 ft tall, I can relate on the maxi-dress issue. Great photo Ruth.

Have a question for those who have been on Tamoxifen or similar meds. Has anyone else had severe soreness after overdoing it? I know it can make the joints hurt (which exercise really does help) but it seems to me that it also effects the muscles. I am good with soreness from a good workout but it seems 10x compounded. I only ask as it seems so much more exaggerated since I started Tamoxifen.

Skipped bootcamp tonight as I am still really sore but will hit the gym tomorrow night to at least walk on the treadmill.
