Susan- way cute dog and lovely garden!! Yes post on the gardening thread too. I am glad your arm is on the way down. I remember years ago they wrapped my left arm up in foam and wraps and honestly I looked like someone who trains police dogs to attack! It worked at getting the swelling down.

JWoo- oooh I am glad no progression and am sorry about the breathing issues. I hope you feel better. I am jealous of the tickets to see the Rolling Stones! I would love that, a blast from the past. They are the classic rock band, amazing they can still tour. Enjoy.

Well I got a pleasant surprise this morning 2 long newsy emails from a friend I went to highschool with! We both graduated early and went to school in Switzerland her for 6 months and me for 4 months. Honestly it was one of the Highlights of my life. We traveled hitchhiked, took trains, stayed in Youth Hostels and saw much of the country. Funny she is now married to a Swiss man and has a Swiss citizenship. Not surprising as her Dad was from there and she had lots of famliy and could speak the languages fluently. Anyway it was fun to catch up alittle. Funny how we went to high school almost 40 years ago and when ever we connect it's just a pick up where we left off last.

Our weather has finally dried off. Gorgeous sunny and hot predicted for the next 6 days! Be well sisters.

Jwooooooooohoo, always sumpin. When do we get to declare an official break. I took a doctor vacation for a few weeks. Hope the skin thing and breathing issues clear. Just a reminder that anyone prone to repeat respiratory problems should have the Pnuemovax. Bacteria are bacteria. I was prone to a couple bouts of bacterial bronchitis a year. Haven't had a case since the first pneumovax. The pneumovax protects against 23 types of bacteria and Prevanar 13 protects from 13 strains of streptococcus. Hmmm I sound like a commercial.

Susan telepathy thinking about you yesterday. I look at pics about gardening and landscaping. Enjoy beautiful landscaping, but not dirt. Can't stand dirt. My Dad was like that fella in the commercial. "That's some good dirt". I take after Mom who wouldn't go to the beach. She finally admitted it was b/c of having to walk in "Dirt". My Twin ought to have her yard in a magazine. She loves dirt.

Hugs to you both miss you here, but happy you came to visit :)

Susan, Lovely yard and no need to mow that bark. We have replaced most of our lawn with flowers. They're planted so close together there's no room for mulch. It's a free-for-all with the flowers.

Susan, love your backyard. DH is almost done replacing out patio. Then I'm going to hit him about pulling out some of the lawn in front. We will be down to watering 1 day a week starting in July. So might as well take some of it out. Sorry to hear about your arm. How common is L to show up if you never had it before. Did you have a lot of nodes removed? I don't let medics do BP on my left side but can do blood draws for that side without problems.

JWoo, sorry about your problems, hope it's better soon.

Ok, my iPad is acting up, bbl

Hello ladies! Just found out today I am stage IV with mets to liver, lung and spleen. Setting up bone and brain scans. Doc hopes to start chemo next week..(waiting for insurance approval).

The doc was fantastic and so was the staff. Strange, same people but totally different experience today. Anywho...I am thinking I may be partying in the wee hours here and there with you all until I get a grip.

Crazy that I feel great eh? I think I am going to take up painting again and just kind of go with the flow. Going to browse the chemo and stage forums.

Btw Chevy is full of it..that is MY Back yard.

Frey- I am sorry to hear the Stage IV news. It is good you can be present with the news, given the news. We will stay right here with you.

I think there are Stage IV threads here as well that may be helpful to you.

    Hugs sister.

That's YOURS Frey-frey? Hah! I'm busted! Sorry about what they think is wrong with you, but we'll just have to go along with it, and prove them all wrong.... or that at least we can DO this.... right?

Just don't worry about nothin'! It doesn't do any good.... You must party.... AND take up painting!!! Painting what? Your house? Pictures? Or ceramics.... I do that too.... I love to paint.... without any interference....

So tell the gals what kind of chemo you will be getting.... once you find out.... A LOT of these women have been on one kind or another......

Me? I'm baking Turkey Legs today.... In my little Toaster-oven.... DH likes his plain, I like mine with barbecue sauce to dip in, after I get them really tender.... I'm also making mashed potatoes with carrots, and a rice-blend mix for DH.... It's like a short-order house around here.... We both eat different stuff....

I just ordered me a walking stick.... It feels more comfortable than a cane, for when we go walk around the Mills! He found this old Bamboo stick, so I've been using it to work around the gardens, etc..... It doesn't strain your arm or hand, like walking with a cane.... and of course I wrapped Duck tape around it to hold it together.... Ha! A zebra-stripe walking stick!

    nice yard chevy..where's the pole?

Sorry to hear Frey....I got off the stage iv threads. It depressed me. I like it here with these nuts..lol

Smarty , not many nodes removed, just 4 almost 14 years ago and no auxiliary ones. Having lots of tests Friday, my guess is that cancer is back in auxiliary. it usually shows up back in neck nodes and we switch chemos. I think that is why arm swelled. Hope I am wrong, I like the chemo I am on now, life is more normalish. Only 2 more chemos left to go on....heard 2 new ones come out end of this year...yeah!!

But all is good. I am still having lots of fun :)

Hi Frey, so sorry about your stage 4 news. I am stage 4 too, TNBC. The stage 4 thread can be a bit depressing but there's a lot of info in it too. Anyway, not as fun as these crazy ladies here :):):) Big hugs and keep us posted.

Frey -What can I say other than I wish I was there in person to give you this hug. Stick with us for craziness for sure.

Chevy dearest - heard that turkey prices are going up because of the bird flu and the culling of flocks. I need to see if I have any egg coupons. Eggland's Best on sale at grocer and I think I have one for them. We don't eat a ton of eggs but when I want them I WANT them. Hardboil a few for salads too. Love your garden. Can you do the same at my house? Nasty looking storm SE of Colorado Springs. Hope these stay away from Phyllo; think they've already passed your area.

Susan - we're not nuts. We are the nut house. Praying you get better news tomorrow. Glad you've been having fun.

Image result for the nut house image

Patty - that looks like a cool time with your boys. Hope you are feeling better.

Not that this in any way compares with the chit going on with others. DH has abscessed tooth. Amoxicillin here we come. And headed for a root canal next week. I'm second guessing but I would think that might be a little early. DH never questions anything, I could wring his neck. I would have surely asked if infection would be gone by next Wednesday when he made an appt with endo.

I have been here for the last hour reading posts in this thread. I am laughing at some of the witty remarks . I keep putting my fingers on the keyboard and nothing comes out right once typed. I can say Teka, that pic reaaaaaaaaaaaaly makes me want to paint again.

If you all do not mind I will sit back and read a bit of this thread, laugh a but..probably start yawning in about 3 hours. Hopefully think of something witty to say in about 4 and maybe..just maybe..be sleepiing in about 5...just in time for me to get a nap in before my daaaaaag 3 pound bully of a chihuahua makes me get up to feed her. She takes up the whole bed anyway so best stay here in my desk chair so I can maybe get 40 winks before dawn.
