Kiss younger men whenever possible! Smile

Did my Cardio Sculpt this morning; especially fun because school is out so a lot of the teacher's who usually have to exercise at night showed up.....more people, excitement & energy. I will go to yoga tonight.

I did find a maxi dress that doesn't drag on the ground. It unfortunately has horizontal stripes.....I don't have time to shop around so bought it anyway.

Ruth, thanks for the tip about The Boys in the Boat. I have seen it but not read it, I will get it for my Kindle. Rowed an hour and a half Saturday morning. It was hard because I am so sore from the examestane. Won't be able to go tomorrow night, and maybe not Saturday because my daughter is coming from out of town. WOOHOO! Haven't seen them since Christmas! I am trying to step up the walking at work as much as I can. Now that we are back on the boat for the summer I have to settle into a new routine.

Littleblue, my MO told me that Taxol would be much easier than the AC. I will just say that it was different. I had so many complications from surgery and treatment that more than one doc told me my case was "interesting." So I am probably not the best person to talk about side effects. I did have a lot of pain and developed neuropathy with the Taxol. I found my feet and especially toes to be so sensitive that they could not stand even the slightest bump. I bought a pair of Dansko shoes (expensive but worth it) which were wonderful for protecting my feet. Someone made a comment about all the ladies who participated in the clinical trials for these drugs. I knew some of them! I was a nurse in the oncology unit at a hospital that did those exact clinical trials back in the late 80's. So I knew WAY too much about them! Are you getting the regular dose Taxol (12 treatments) or the dose-dense (4 treatments)? That could make a difference in your side effects. Good luck!

Yesterday: Twenty minute walk and 30 minutes weeding and raking to plant grass seed Today just a twenty minute walk. I am stressed and dead tired from work but I wanted to do a little something so I made myself do twenty and now I'm catching up with the posts and sitting on the deck for the rest of the evening!

Sounds like a great plan! It was too rainy today to deck-sit or walk around the lake. So I took it easy. Happy

I'm still on radiation (Day 24 out of 33) and I'm running every day when I have radiation - between 3 and 5 miles. I hope to continue running to the end of the radiation treatment.

Ruth, I love the way you think! (Kiss younger men)

Twohobbies, congrats on doing anything as it is still better than nothing. Besides, we all need rest and kicking back on the deck for the evening sounds perfect.

Littleblue, hope Taxol is easy for you.

Exercise for me yesterday and today was bootcamp. Sweet dreams sculpted sisters!

Ruth at first quick glance I thought why is Ruth kissing a young John Travolta.... Welcome Iwona. Kathy I don't get the clothing choices either especially when there are so many beautiful outfits out there, glad the singing was good.

Did a Spin class yesterday. Our Body Jam class was cancelled tonight, they were filming in the room and didn't get finished grrrrrrrr so Kathy I ended up driving up your way to Hermose Beach with a group and we took Body Combat and Grit Cardio.

    Great picture Ruth. Welcome Iwona!!!

6/3: Leisurely walk. Got in 10K plus steps yesterday. I am walking up and own the hallways at work which gives me a break and gets me steps SillyHeart.

Llittleblue, hope Taxol is easy for you. I was one where Taxol kicked my behind and AC was a breeze. Hoping that Taxol is easy on you.

Twohobbies, I have cut back on my "daily formal exercise" as I am so dead tired when I get home from work. I make sure I get a walk in and then as my energy level allows I add the formal exercise in. I find right now 2/3 times a week is all I can do. If I push it much more my body complains and I am down for 2/3 days doing "nothing" -- big smile. Resting on my deck in the evenings watching the grandkids play has been a common enjoyment during the week. Happy

Walked on another brisk, not very June-like, morning. We are excited here because yesterday, in a special election, our town voted to fund the building of a new, a much needed, activity center. Very gratifying that people are willing to make that commitment to the town's future! ThumbsUp Off to Zumba!

    Jazzy: Too funny!

    Ruth: Your town rocks!

Walked/ran this afternoon in 65 degrees but high humidity weather. It was strange.

littleblue: If you experience painful joints during Taxol, purchase good quality glucosamine and chondroitin tablets. They REALLY helped with my pain (along with Vicodin!)

Wonderland, North Dakota is pretty conservative about anything new, and the people tend to vote 'no' unless convinced to do otherwise. The people who put this proposal together did such an excellent job; really did their homework, had many community forums, went out & talked to various clubs & organizations, had a great media campaign (including the use of social media, which you need to reach young people), lots of 'boots on the ground' with neighbor talking to neighbor, friend talking to friend etc.....and it really paid off, a great voter turn out & the measure passed with a 60% yes vote.

Ruth: So glad the hard work paid off. 60% is really good, especially when most people tend to vote no.

LB oh I would if I could, and you know I'm a 'lucky charm' every instructor video I've filmed has passed, last one I did was Grit. Ruth that is a great turnout, your grassroots campaign really worked. Jazzy that is funny, I know a girl who is terrified of clowns.

Today was a monster day for me, I did Sh'bam this morning then tonight I did Body Combat and because I had car pooled I had to stay and do Body Pump, I can barely move my armsLoopy

Jazzy, hilarious!  Will have to share that one with my sister who has an irrational fear of clowns Loopy

Yesterday I ran three miles on my lunch hour.  Followed up with some weight lifting in our office gym.

Have to share...  I made the yummiest dinner last night--blueberry bison burgers.  Basically just added smashed up blueberries and finely chopped red onion to the ground bison meat, seasoned, and cooked on the grill.  Was moist and delicious.  Bison can be dry because of the lack of fat content.  The blueberries and onions made it juicy and delicious.  Served with sauteed mushrooms and steamed broccoli.  The say you can use prune puree as an alternative to the blueberries.  Going to try that next time.  Good way to work in those dreaded prunes!

PS:  We have a Holland Grill which cooks like an outdoor convecton oven.  No direct flame to the food so no flare-ups and no nasty carcinogens produced.

That's a lot of shoes! I 'only' have six or so pairs! Interesting about the blueberry burgers, they sound good.

Did my Cardio Sculpt this morning (the teacher has kicked it up a notch with all the new gals) & Zumba tonight.

Cheryl, don't wear yourself out before we get there (or maybe do so that we can keep up with you Winking)!
