Dang girl....I have a hard time working with one computer and you have eight going at one time? I favor my left leg more too, I need to remind myself to walk normally and to get up every few hour to stretch,
Susan, I hope the ring will help with the prolapse and praying for no surgery for the turtle

OMD!!!!!!

DH's hip and leg pain was traced to sitting on a very thick billfold. Now if he's driving for a while, he takes it out.
0 -
Wren- thick billfold filled with cash? If yes, ask him to have you hang on to it for him!

what do you do with all those computers. Oh my gosh..I had to take a Valium...lol
0 -
hahaha. Sometimes, I wish I could take a Valium, too. Luckily, it's only 3 computers powering the 8 screens.
0 -
As for what the screens do, the far right is a multi-channel radio system with access controls for the jail and the department gates. The all blue screen is a 45-channel phone system that includes ten 911 lines. The top 3 and 3 screens on the left are a computer aided dispatch system (CAD). The upper two right screens are a CAD-integrated aerial map. The black screen is where we have our warrant system but I have to hide that because the department of justice doesn't allow us to show that.
When I started, we had 1 computer/1 screen, then we went to 2 computes/3 screens, then 3 computers/4 screens and then 4 computers/5 screens but we integrated one of the 4 computers into the one with the 6 screens. If I were just starting at my age, I don't think I could do it but now that I've been doing for twenty some years, it's not that bad.

Getting laundry started before the temps get too bad outside. Going to see 90s possibly right into Monday, ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this is my desk...... area.... just thought you'de like to know.........

AND I had a prolapse... Loooooooooooong ago... Right after DD#2 was born... I mean when I was in the hospital, I felt something down there, and I thought WTH is THIS?????????? So I called the nurse! I was panicked! I thought "Did I just become a GUY???"
But she came running in, and told me all about what had happened... and to stay DOWN, REST, and shut UP!
It gradually went back into place... I then worried about those things just falling OUT! Oh you girls just WAIT until you have bladder problems! All sorts of things are trying to fall out! Just sayin........

Chevy, you r just kidding right. Those aren't all you computers. I actually don't even have one!!! Just an I pad.
To Kate to teach this fog any new tricks.
Don't know if I mentioned before, saw the movie Sherlock. Good one. Friendship between on older man and a kid. Nice to see

I used to help take care of this girl Emily to help the parents with money. She is going into fourth grade now. We are going to the jelly belly factory in Kenosha Wisconsin , and then a sleepover here, in a tent in the lower level with popcorn and a movie. Fun to do things like that.
Gave a great day all
. Stay cool0 -
Blondie- glad to hear you are still in Florida and with the DD you enjoy. Good that the boys went home and you are having some time to yourself along with family there. I am sorry you are not feeling well sister. Hugs.

Hootie Hoo back at you Patty!
I am big-time sorry that your back is still so painful.
Maybe that moist heat idea would help. I don't think it would do any harm. Oh man. If it isn't one thing it's another with this disease. And we are tough ladies. We have to be to keep on keeping on through a lot of it.
Dusty felt it necessary to start screaming at 7 am today. I don't know what has gotten into him, but my best bet is separation anxiety. It started shortly before my vacation, when I was making more effort to get up and get around to myself for the trip. (Little did I know that my problem was going to be STAYING AWAKE through the trip, lol.) My mother insists that the birds be in my bedroom with me, so when I was spending all day in my bedroom he got used to it. He started being mad at me, then some of the hollering. The volume of his hollering got our attention, thinking surely something is wrong. But no. He was fine. He wanted his head rubbed or some such thing as that. (LMAO. Right now he is up there whistling, trying to get my attention. I will whistle back so he knows I'm here. Crazy! I whistled. He's quiet. SPOILED!!!!!) "Mamas don't let your [birdies] grow up to be [spoiled]." Anyway, after leaving him at the vet for a week; he screams. I try to tell him he can't be doing that. If something bad happens and we have to find him a new home, such behavior will not help his cause -- and it can get cold outside. Muahahahahahaha!
In about an hour I'll be at my PCP's office. I forgot about last week's appointment with him. Oops. So this is a reschedule; and I get to find out if he has some sort of a problem with xanax. I think I will wear my METUP t-shirt to remind him of one very big reason he should not worry about prescribing it to me.Thanks for the tip on Sherlock, Susan. And OMG Jelly Belly factory! That sure beats our pretzels and potato chips factories up the road a-piece in Pennsylvania.
I hope y'all have a nice day.
It's overcast here in the Baltimore suburbs. Maybe I'll get some work done in here. OR maybe I'll go shopping. Hmmmmmmmm. 0 -
I'm glad you are lurking Blondie and hope you can get in that pool soon. Meanwhile I hope you can relax and be comfortable in any way you can.
Marlena, you think you are so cool. Well I can do that pose hanging upside down over the sawhorse in my garage too. HAHAHAHAHA I used to work with all those computers too. It was actually a real nice setup and sometimes I miss it. Most of the time I'm soooooo glad I was able to get disability and cannot even imagine how I could work with all these appointments. If things start settling down, I will do some volunteering and will work on some of the skills that are slip sliding away: photoshop, illustrator, keyboards.
Chevy, why do you use so many computers?

Morning ladies!
Thinking of you Patty.....hoping you are able to get some relief!
I haven't had the joys of the prolapse, but what I am having since tx ended and I guess forced menopause is leaking. I have to wear bladder control pads now because of it. I LOVE this! haha yeah right. Was that TMI? lol
((hugs))

Also..2nd time....I missed seeing your posts!

Mommy, what are you complaining about, girl???

Ms. Smaarty, I was hoping to sit outside to enjoy our lunch at Crepeville today.
0 -
lover, maybe, only if it's in the shade! Mommy has nothing to complain about, at least it's a dry heat! Ha!
Tang, nice to see you post too. Not TMI. I got that fixed a couple years ago. Don't wait too long to get it fixed. Life's more fun if you don't leak
So we're still missing a few, Enerva, JWoo, the gal down under, I know there's a couple others. Drawing a blank.

MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!

Ms. BLONDIE, it's good you are lurking. Hope you are less miserable so you can enjoy the remaining days of your trip.
Thinking about you Rose and Patty.
Hi Everyone

Smarty- I am on another thread with Enerva. She is still kicking, busy with her job.
Tang- oh your conversation about bladder stuff is right on, as my PCP and I had that conversation last week during my annual. You know you are getting old when your docs routinely ask about bladder and bowel health! LOL! I told her I have some leaking, especially when I sneeze. With the cold last week, things became quite noticeable! I think I need to get some of those pads. Amazing how we end up trading in those little sanitary pads in our youth for something else in mid-life. Ah the joys of aging!

And don't talk to me about dry heat either Smarty. Hot is HOT!
0 -
I love thunderstorms! I know I am crazy(stay out of it, Marlana). Reminds me of Singapore and Viet Nam. Ms. Spookie, I hope your joints are spared....and your poor fur babies must be in anxiety land
Jazzy, you better??
Ms CHEVY, how was your trip with your SIL yesterday?
0 -
Hi Patty and Blondie hope you 2 are doing better. I upped my dose ofrelief and am doing a little better... goofy to think 5mg would cut it.. My intake with Hospice is tomorrow. We will see how that goes. Our weather is starting to cook again! We are scheduled for 100-101 degrees by Thursday. Yikes. I never used to think Oregon needed central air but this summer has me reconsidering. Sounds like everyone Smarty, Jazzy, Momof2 all baking like toasted cheesers!
I did a crazy thing. I decided while I still can, that I will fly to Florida to see my Mom and brothers one last time. Mom can't travel dementia and health concerns. So I'm off (well we all knew that) just for a few days. I worry about getting there, but I'll tell airlines wheel chair for connecting flights and lots of meds to get through sitting that long. fingers crossed. It will be good to see them. I am a little worried because just sitting here in this soft comfy chair in the livingroom typing this, my ribs hurt (pressure from distended gut) and my back aches.. an 8+ hour flight.oy. Bob the Builder - "You can do it - yes you can!" Spookie I hope they get a break in the rain...when I get down there.
Gotta go -still working on scrap book pages for the girls. I lurk and appreciate all the banter! To all of you with bladder issues I can comiserate! Chevy tell me in your sweet little cottage you don't have a huge computer set up? Marlana my eyes would cross if I had to look at all those screens. Be well as you are able! (((hugs)))

Rosie, I am women, hear me roar ! Hope your trip works out. Up those meds, make yourself as pain free as possible.
I am busy, but SO happy to come here, get to be a part of this amazing group of loving, supportive women. Nice that we have people checking in....2nd, Tang... Kathindc
