DH's ex-SIL is a teacher and did a "Flat Stanley" project with her class some years ago. She asked us if one of her students could send a "Stanley" to us. (Basically the child sends you their Stanley and you photograph it in some places in your local area and send the child back the photos and some info on the places and the child does a report on the adventures of Stanley. Since we are a seaside town we decided Stanley might get a bit friendly with the locals (DD's mermaid Barbies).

Stanley is hilarious..that's just awesome FF. And love the barbie problems...and cat problem.
For once, I'm contributing something. If nothing else, the Cookie Monster onesie is amazing.

Ah geez! I'm getting flash-backs about trying to put together a card-board Barbie Dream House, in about 1963! Christmas Eve...! Supposed to be a fun time, right? You would THINK we were constructing the Washington Library building!
We got it done, but the people that came up with THAT idea, should be sent to Architectural College.... somewhere.... and never be allowed to dream up something like THAT again!

Loverly- the picts from Vietnam so true.. We couldn't figure out how to cross the street until someone said- move very slowly so traffic can go around you. ugh! Nerve wracking! So true about cats being leopards at night. We get a mauled field vole at least once a month.. presents from our kitties. It will be pushing 100... melting cats and dogs.. and people.

Yep! We broke down last year and bought one of those portable units on wheels, you vent out the window. It does 1000 sq feet and works great. It gets cool at night, around 11 the temp drops to 67 and it's easy to sleep with the windows open. We have had 25 days over 90 degrees this summer.. broke records and summer isn't over.
