Great news Annie88!
Was taking off yesterday and then a friend called and we talked for over 2 hours. Used the time to walk around the house on the phone and made almost 7000 steps. Fitbit was very happy as not getting much action lately with my water exercises.
This morning did one hour aqua zumba followed by 2 hours water volleyball. Been on couch ever since!
Night sculpted friends.

Yea, Annie! Excellent way to celebrate, exercise & food.

momwriter, thanks for re-posting the tips for resilience. I didn't write it, just copied it. It's good to be reminded of every once and awhile!

Love the glowball Wonderland. How cool! Your weekend sounds wonderful. Beautiful rainbow Nats. Congrats on the clear mammo Annie. Glad you can rest easier a bit now. Patoo, my vivofit likely thought I was slacking over the summer with all the swimming and water activities it was not counting. Just remember that it all counts.
Catching up after the weekend. Saturday, I was able to get my step goal while running errands and dodging raindrops. Sunday was a day of rest for me. Tonight was back to bootcamp. Still waiting for ultrasound results but have now upgraded to phone tag with the nurse. Previously they have always just left the info on voicemail but not this time. I have to speak to the nurse to get the results. Not sure if this should freak me out or not but life goes on. Keeping busy in the interim.
Sweet dreams sculpted sisters!

Outrunning: I
Girls Scouts also! My mother was a Girl Scout and a leader for my sisters. I was also a Girl Scout and a leader for my daughter's troop. 4 of "my" girls (including dd) received their Gold Award. Now I serve on our Council's Gold Award Committee plus volunteer for our Service Unit during the nut and cookie sales. You have so many fun, adventurous years ahead of you with your Daisies as they grow! The event this past weekend was called Leaderee. It consisted of fun and training. I only attended the fun workshops! Annie: Congratulations on your mammo!!! Love the way you celebrate!
Beautiful double rainbow, Nats.
Odie: Hopefully they have changed the procedure and that's why they haven't left a message. Thinking of you.
It's gorgeous here! In the 70s and low humidity. I'm beside myself with glee! Walked/ran early this afternoon.

Tons and tons and tons of walking at the NM State Fair this afternoon (3 hours worth).

Woohoooo Annie congratulations. (((Odie))) hope you get the telephone tag sorted out. Beautiful rainbow Nats. Jazzy I hope you got to eat some fair food as well.
Tonight was Zumba for me, well it's listed as Zumba but there was Bollywood and ballet thrown into the mix with squats and push ups

Hooray, Annie!! Odie - arrrggghhhh!! If they don't get back to you this morning, there's always the option to stage an old-fashioned "sit-in" - show up at the office in person and tell them you plan to sit in the waiting room till someone can talk to you.
If you want to check out a neat thread here on BCO, check the Photo, quote, dx, age and your location for a slide show thread under Acknowledging and honoring our Community forum. So many beautiful pictures and stories. Very inspiring.
Running clinic interval track work on tap for tonight - at least the temps have finally cooled off a bit. Running in 90+ degree heat over the last few weeks got old real fast. Tonight it's supposed to only be around 80 - much better!

Feeling like a definite workout night so far today.

HBcheryl- well, it is so hard to find anything I can eat at the fair. I am not a fried food person, and that is mostly what they have or things with sugar, which I gave up a couple years ago.
What I have found at the fair that works is a little restaurant called the Ashbury Cafe, that is run by the Methodist Church, and the folks who run it are all church volunteers. They have an awesome grill with basic stuff like burgers and hot dogs and the BEST homemade pies. They even have sugar free pie, and it is SO good! I had a hot dog with green chili on it and a piece of sugare free blackberry peach pie pie ala mode.
Here were some of the other awesome options available yesterday. LOL!

Deep fried alligator - oh boy!!! Too funny!
4.5 miles running
Might need to take some time off for blisters that will NOT go away!

I had deep fried alligator once! At the Catfish Festival in the Florida town my grandparents retired to. It was the event of the year.
Tasted like touch chicken nuggets.
Walk to get daughter yesterday turned into a 2.84 mile 2h10m saunter with an ice cream stop.
This morning I walked about 1 mile to school with my DD for a meeting before school about DS. But I got a ride home with DH when he dropped the boy child off.
The weather is so perfect for running right now it is killing me not to. Wish I weren't still so tired from LX I need to get up early and walk like I do when I run.
And for the record, I'm bi-Scoutual. I'm in my second year as committee chair for the Cub Scout Pack, after doing a year as den leader. And I'm leader for the 1st grade Daisies. I love Scouting. Wish I didn't have to work so I could do more.0 -
Hi all! Saw my ob/gyno for post-surgery follow up and all is healing well (hysterectomy). No heavy lifting yet but got clearance to start some light walking - YAY! After getting home from the doctor I immediately went out and pruned my front flower garden 😀. My mom will want to do a walk with me probably daily so that's good. I have just over two weeks before back to work and am planning on getting a head start on my holiday baking. Everything I make keeps very well in the freezer so I'll be tickled to be ahead of that chore for a change. Busy sorting through recipes and composing grocery list now
Love reading everyone's activities and tickled about the clear mammogram for Annie! Hopefully I'll start having something to report on regular basis again. Luv y'all!

Gonna do a workout in a bit unless hubby has other plans

Jazzy: Never heard of fried alligator!
Sweet: Great idea to start holiday baking while you have the time.
Still so nice weather wise. Walked/ran this evening. Refreshing!

Jazzy. . .DH and I had fried gator at a fair in San Fran years ago. Outrunning, I agree. It tasted like tough chicken, but it turned out to be bad gator. Never again.
PT was tough today. . .worked my ROM alot and not a happy camper, but came home and hiked around the lake again so at least feel like I've accomplished something. 3.75 miles today and 27 stairs.

Cheryl, I love Bollywood. Bet that is a fun class.
Jazzygirl, not a huge fan of fried food either but do love a good funnel cake on those rare occasions. The pie sounded good too.
Congrats on the good followup Sweet.
Finally caught up with the nurse today and am now scheduled for an endometrial biopsy. Ugh!! I am not really worried just irritated with the gift that keeps giving...LOL
Exercise today was bootcamp again which had lots of running which resulted in the start of a few blisters. Feel your pain Geewhiz.
Have a great night.

What doesn't taste like chicken?
Noticing radiation tiredness more today, but slogged through 40 minutes on an elliptical trainer.

9/15- lovely evening walk for 25 minutes. Cool breeze and lovely sunset to keep me happy.
Sweetandspecial- glad to hear you are on the mend. I had a TAH a few months before my breast surgery in 2012, that was followed by rads. It was a long recovery from all of that, but found the hysterectomy to be the hardest. I hope you are doing okay and able to get back to work with ease. I expect you will be tired for awhile.

Did my Cardio Sculpt class this morning, and then came home & cleaned the house.....which should count for something!
Odie, argh! What a run-around they are giving you!
Sweet, if you can do your holiday baking now and still have it in the freezer by the time a holiday comes, you are a MUCH, MUCH better woman than me!!!!

I'll have to catch up tomorrow on everyone else's news and activities. I noticed its past my bedtime but I walked 25 minutes last night and 30 tonight and then I did a yoga video from youtube.
Night all and sweet dreams.

Jazzy I'm not much of a fried food person either I'm more your pie girl, that being said I always go straight for the 'Australia Battered Potatoes' at our local fair but I go with a group and we share, and I don't think I'd ever order the alligator bleah... Odie glad you got to speak to the nurse, do you have a date set yet? Feel better Scottie. Sweet what a great idea to get a jump on the holiday baking, I usually have great intentions and then time runs out!!!
Tonight did Grit Strength and U Jam.0 -
Did a 20 minute workout last night.

Jazzy, speechless and must live a sheltered life as I've never had the opportunity to try fried alligator, and loved to have a slice of the pie you spoke of. Mary, nice photo and Wonderland, that light fixture is terrific. Inspired by your early start on holiday baking S&S. Good to read of all the activity by everyone-well done. Slept a few hours last night and up for a few, catching up on emails. No gym workout for me today as I must stay home because mysteriously the dryer broke while away. The fix-it guy is to be here sometime. Back in winter mode, poured buckets last night, but not this gray, damp morning. Lower back is twinging big time as the long flight back yesterday in the middle seat was not exactly pleasant, so stretches and some mat work in the livingroom for me.
0 -
Lilac - take care of that back. Middle-seat on a trans-Atlantic flight - no wonder your back is not happy. Odie - arggh - more tests. Hugs. Scottie - sorry they're beating you up in PT, but that's what they do. Just make sure they're aware of your risk of lymphedema and monitoring your at-risk side so they don't overdo it.
Ruth - where are you ladies walking today? You should go back to the big buffalo sometime - I really enjoyed that picture!
Not much on fried food either, but every once and a while I just have to have french fries. And good garlic fries are even better!
The school track we usually train on for our Tuesday running club wasn't available last night, so they took us off to a local park with hills, hills and more hills! It was a challenging but ultimately a rewarding workout to run up and down those hills!
0 -
Natsfan you go! With those hills.
Lilac east coast to west coast or to UK are bad enough . I can't imagine doing the whole thing as one trip. I wouldn't be able to walk.
First exercise for the sake of exercise since LX last week. Walked kids to school (which I've done already) and then walked extra before going home. Mapmyrun thinks 3.19 (my goal was 5k) but Health app thinks only 2.89.
Hard not to break into a jog. Only nagging pain of SNL kept me from going it.

Outrunning - I vote for the Mapmyrun mileage!!

WWW took a walk on some in-town trails. Since nobody else was around, we took two pictures at a playground, and another of us eating breakfast because, in a case of 'great minds think alike', we all ordered the same delicious breakfast sandwich. Here is the montage I posted for the group on Facebook:

Busy day so a quick trip to the gym for a 30 min weight work out. But hey, I got there, right?
0 -
jazzy yes some days just doing it at all is the win!
Nats I've made up with the health app. I had lunch with a friend, ran errands (including a trip to the GIrl Scout store) and then went to another friend's house and walked to a nearby coffee shop. 5.05 miles maybe more if you believe the mapmyrun from this morning
Not that I want to NEED to be off, but this not working thing doesn't suck.
