Ha-ha, Kiwi. That bathroom question reminds me of something I like to do with phone calls.
I answer the ring and it is one of my husbands friends who asks, "Is Tom there?" and I will say, "Yes", and wait.
At other times I might ask them, "Are you taking attendance or do you wish to speak to him?"

a bil used to call an say, is he there? I'd ask, who

Spookie, my BIL would call and do the same thing. Finally, I said "Dear BIL, manners require you to say hello, acknowledge me by a few pleasantries and then ask for your brother". It worked. I should have done it years earlier. His mom didn't require much of him. Odd since DH's manners were perfect.
Now I'm working on DBF who is a trial, but he's making progress

none of his 4 bros have anything resembling manners. They probably would choke if they said the word.

At least with DBF, he's trainable even at 55. Otherwise we wouldn't have continued. They only thing lacking besides money sense(none), Is I can't get him to shave everyday. He's very good at it when he notices a change in me. He could shave twice a day poor guy. But I love the high testosterone level. So, I cut him alittle slack

And then there's the black socks..........

Love the minions....made me LOL
Oh Chevy, that reminds me of when that discussion started. I had my husband pose in his black socks for you when he was getting dressed to fly off somewhere. He thought I was joking. I'm gonna find it and post it on Insomniacs! HAHAHAHAHA

My husband took our girls to a local college volleyball game tonight. They were fundraising for Dig Pink and the Side Out Foundation. On the surface, it looks like more "pink washing", but this organization actually focuses on metastatic disease research and puts Stage IV front and center. They were giving out t shirts and my 12 year old wrote on hers...

I love that Lekker! The one time I did the "walk" I made a T-shirt, with pictures and iron on sayings... "I walk for my Mom..... For Laura, and for me." Laura was my Niece... She fought BC for 12 years....
Mema! YES! We all want to see your DH in just his black socks... Then hide him from Sass...Ha
Oh wait.... I found him!
Did you notice how clean that fridge is? Probably not. Those people have nothing to eat!

Lekker - what a fantastic daughter! XX to you and her.

Chevy the only thing I know about black socks of the male variety is that they put black fluff on the carpet. Oddly black socks of the female sort never do this. At least in our house.
This is surely one of life's great mysteries.

Wow there are YouTube videos about how to get rid of black sock fluff!!
Also male black socks go grey

while mine never do.
They are all washed in the same machine with the same detergent!
Now before you tell me it must be an Irish thing, DH is so fond of his regulars that he continues to buy all his undies, socks, jeans and shirts whenever he's in the US.
I know you are going to tell me it's what's in the socks that matters, not where they were bought, and true, DH scrubs up nice, no shrinkage, no fade
