Mags, I concur those stories were ROTFLOL.

Here's a one of mine from Readers Digest

A woman rushes home, showers, and then runs off to her Gyn appointment. During her exam the doc says "You didn't have to get all dressed up for me". She wondered? She got home and looked at the feminine hygiene spray that was next to another spray can. She had used her daughters sparkle spray.

On the doc and clothes on animals. Sheesh, that talking head needs to get a life. A recent news story Kids were asked if Santa could be a woman. Wish I could find the clip. But after the hilarious responses, a talking head said (paraphrase) "Gender bias starts at birth". Get a life.

imageimageAccording to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.

Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring. Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

We should have known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

In 1956, a priest named Fr. Louis Coffey had an idea. He wanted to bring the Bible alive for poor children in Dublin with a Christmas focus and using, what was at the time, quite advanced mechanical figures. He created a series of tableaux which wre called "The Moving Crib". The human figures are about 2 feet high.

The crib is housed in a series of rooms under a small oratory, St. Martin's in Parnell Square in Dublin. Entry has always been completely free.

The scenes tell the story of Christmas starting right back at Adam and Eve and culminating in the Presentation at the Temple after the nativity. There is also a quick nod to Saint Nicholas.

Each November, The Moving Crib is carefully assembled by a team of volunteers and then disassembled again in January and stored with care for the next year. It is also curated by a team of volunteers.

We visit most years. DD (youngest child) is now 10 and we were there yesterday.

If you would like to see it this video shows it (it also has a couple of inserts of original tv coverage of The Moving Crib)

Can you imagine at Disney they're folks that spend their whole work life working on Christmas trees. Designing, setup, taking down.
