This is from Patty. Going to her thread to post this too. She may have already checked in there and I don't know it. This could be old news. Love you all, I will catch up later, on a mission. Going to be oh so serious about pontificating......... LOL. That's redundant. ........

Sorry, only the Catholics will get the joke.

From Patty: good morning. I got your voicemail. How sweet of you to check on me. I am at the hodpitsl outpatient waiting on pet scan. My phone service is horrible so i thought a pm might reach you instead of a call. Also my phone is nearly dead. I've been miserable in back pain. Hoping pet shows nothing new. My neatrophil is under 500 and I am anemic. So very tired. Just sleeping from the pain meds and just exhaustion. My neck from where they put the port in has an infection. Going to mo office after pet is done to discuss what to do. I've been on an oral antibiotic but it's not better and with my neutrophil counts being under 500 for more then 5 days they would like to put me in hospital for iv antibiotic. Ugh. I don't feel THAT bad. Hoping home health can just do something at home. It is the reason I started using them. I am hopeful mo will agree to that when I see him face to face. I am NOT going to be admitted to hospital today...period !!!!

Will try to get in snd update everyone later today or maybe tomorrow depending on how I feel.

    Hugs and love

    Patty

All, Patty is very special to us, thanks for concern about her.

Phone numbers are POWER, If you have a friend on BCO ask for their phone number. The absolute sucky thing is a friend go MIA and we have no contact number. I have lot's b/c I said please, give it to me.

Okay sharing the worst, I got a call from Cleveland Clinic ID on the phone.....waited for a voice.........heard breathing .... The breathing went on for a short time.......then a hang up. No way to trace the call. This is awhile ago. Couple months. Didn't understand the effort of the call and the breathing, then the hang up.

You know what, I should have shared it when It occurred., Sorry, ---------sorry to whomever called

Let's, please, put into our prayers this unknown person.

I thought it might be Ziggy, she was so sharing about Hudson Ohio, Cleveland Clinic was a stones throw from Hudson. Akron was closer, but CC world renown for so much was a hard act to follow. We had many contacts in common. But Ziggy was very tight about disclosure about her self. When she disappeared, We all felt so sad b/c she was just a great funny insightful person. She had her BC to deal with and her Mom that was Alhziemers. She gave no number.

I wish I knew who was on the other end of the line.

Ms. Sas, it's always sad to see the people we bond with leave, but even sadder when they leave without saying goodbye. You will always wonder how they are doing and can only hope the best for them.

JunieB, you sound like you have much less energy these last few days. How is the genealogy search coming along? I'm much better. Thank you! Just have this funny taste in my mouth along with indigestion and sometimes bloating. It worked so hard the other days and now it's just slows down and being lazy. It has a mind of its own. Can't complain though.

Jazzy, those eyes look like they could belong to a person. Very interesting. Did you take that? How is your lung?

Zill, thinking about you and hoping you tolerate the treatment ok.

Dropped my younger daughter off for a piano rehearsal for next week recital. I stayed in the car to nap (long day). She came out after she was done and the first thing that came out of her mouth was "Mom, I messed up because my hands were supper sweaty, my armpit was itchy, and I slipped and missed the flat key!" I bursted out laughing and she joined me shortly after. Oh the simple pleasure of life.

Loverly - I'm glad you're feeling better. I enjoyed your story about your daughter. Precious moments that creat good memories. I haven't felt well over the last week, because of pain in my legs and torso from muscle cramps. Plus the dizziness. I can't even seem to get myself to my sewing machine. But yet here I am at 1:15 a.m. unable to sleep. Urrgh!

In regards to the genealogy journey, the lady helping me has been tied up with her own stuff and once she's done with that she'll get back with me. I did hear from the funeral home that handled my father's cremation and they emailed some family info. that listed 1 Uncle and 3 Aunts. Don't know if any of them are still alive, but time will tell. Also on the Obituary only my half-sister was listed as his surviving child. Don't know if they even know about me. I have her possible phone number, but am too chicken to call her out of the blue like that. It might be too much of a shock to have some stranger call and say "Hi, I'm your half-sister."

Ok Sas, I've posted questions to you twice in the last couple of days and you haven't reponded. I'm used to that occurring with a couple others, but not with you. What's up?

Well guess that's all for now. I'm going to try and go back to bed and hopefully get some sleep. Hate to cancel on my ride to church AGAIN.

Have a Great Sunday everyone! Smile

my turn to be up in the middle of the night. We booked a trip to Australia through Hawaii so we'll get 4 days in Hawaii and 3 weeks in AU. DD, SIL and DGS going too for the first week. DD promised him a trip after the amputation. I just looked and daylight savings stop the morning we leave. Hope that doesn't cause a problem leaving. If anything, it will make us an hour early!

Hey FF, how's the kids doing with school? DS loving university? Did he get his driving license yet? Can't remember if you said he did or not.

Well, back to bed and see if that does any good

Hi Smaarty I hope you are feeling much better after rest. All well here thank you. DS hopes to take driving test this summer. It is a big deal here - long waiting lists due to how hard it is to pass. You have to demonstrate perfect driving for about 40 mins. DH and I both took 3 goes to pass. DH had been driving for 27 years in the US when sitting his 1st Irish test. Having said that the only people I ever knew to pass first time were all young - more confidence? Less cluttered and distracted brains? It is the toughest exam you will ever sit in this country.

Jazzy that is a great capture of the owl, you must be delighted.

    Morning all.

Good morning friends- it is a chilly morning here in the high desert, but expected to warm up to the 70s today. The convertible is coming out of the garage today, and the top is coming down!

Loverly- my congestion is clearing and doing a lot better this weekend, thanks for asking! I had some out and about time yesterday, but then came home to rest and also did a bit of yard work last night. I think I am going to live!

Smarty- what a wonderful trip you have planned. I had a friend traveling back from NM during DLS time here. We just make sure we were in bed super early and set multiple alarms so I could get to the airport on time.

What a wonderful gift to give to your GS after the tough time he has been through. It will be a very good trip for you all I think.

Susan, what fun, love house shopping. Have fun.

Jazzy, love the birdie! Will you be able to get another shot as it grows?

Sorry for those not feeling well. Hope things improve for you.

Got my last quilt back, it's almost all done. I'll post a pic later.

JunieB, Thank you for your welcome and well wishes for surgery....One of the other new gals is having the procedure though. I do have cancery lymph nodes under my left arm and on my left collarbone - same side as my defective breast. I have a micro tumor in my breast that is hard to see in scans. Doesn't show in blood work either. That one little bugger has decimated my spine and most other bones too. My MO is leaving the nodes alone since they are easy to monitor for changes....we refer to my collarbone node as the "pop-up turkey timer" .....if it "pops" my meds are done and it's time for a new one.

Love the school kitty pic! I've looked back at it several times and giggled each time :-)

Jazzy, I was scrolling quickly to catch up and almost screamed! For a brief moment that little owl looked like a POSSUM!!!!! Only critter that scares me......horrible, yucky, viscous things! Our property backs up to a very large conservation area. Thick pine and wild magnolia trees and patches of swampland. Very beautiful and full of awesome critters. Lots and lots of owls. I love to hear them hooting in the trees at night. They are fierce predators though and have been known to carry off small cats and dogs, anything under 10 lbs. Luckily I have a big dog and a tubby kittie! Too bad even the owls find the possums yucky....

Finally getting around to catching up. Had a great weekend playing. Ortho update. Doc gave me a cortisone injection Has done wonders. Working very hard at range of motion. He understood why I wanted to avoid an MRI. It can be done without contrast, but not following with contrast doesn't give complete pic. Sensitive to contrast, but haven't tripped over to the negative side. Last two times I had it, I had edema for several days. (Yes , I did do fluids) That signals kidney's aren't filtering it right/ affecting kidney's & inflammatory response. I feel it's important to avoid the contrast even with the pretreatment if at all possible. Thinking long term. See him in three weeks. YAY it's improving...........2pges to catch up on :)

Shep K, lovin your baby Marti

Loverly, both ends working now? Did you try ginger? Ah-hah, only called for jury duty once. Battery case. Since I went through two riots and was mugged once they didn't want me..and..when the attorney said he wanted people that "good common sense could evaluate the case" Each was asked if they felt they had a problem looking at this in that manner. I said "Common sense is learned behavior" I thought he would choke. I guess it was 101 on how to not be selected for a jury.

Loverly there was and old time remedy about putting an onion in a sock for the foot?

My dad used to eat a spanish onion with salt like an apple. Mostly we avoided him when he did that.

But interesting on your description, I'll take a net look, could go back millennia about onions....alliums?

OH so can relate on the OCD cupboard cleaning. But I now have DI. AND when I really don't want to do something that I should do I tell DI, "Honey, you need to talk me into it" That's a coded message to push my ass till I do it.

    Loved this :)

    HI1, better?

Susan, get you on going to the clean out stuff. Mines Mag citrate. Ugh the Pfitts for 2-3 days are not fun. Scared to fart ......erhh that's what a pfitt is. On the C thread even if you only scan for the puns, we have gotten pretty loose which is the point. Just like what I said if you haven't got your head in the right place you can read right by a pun and miss it. Lol there was another one, just slipped right out......... and then there was three.

Sensi, please, a few must read threads---Toradol/Ketorolac, opiods, Nsaids. They are all connected in the topic boxes. I'll send you the links Look at Toradol for the link to a guy from MIT. I haven't posted it yet. Dr Retsky from Harvard sent it yesterday. It may change what you want to ask for. THIS IS A BIG DEAL. THIS IS HUGE DEAL.

Junie sorry about not getting your pup. But in the end you will get the bestest pup ever. I'm doing great on the shoulder Thanks. 8 weeks, I see a positive end in site :) Junie, forget how your vertigo started? I remember saying it was one of the most difficult symptoms to get a definitive dx and asked Blessings to expand on her experience with it. She had to battle for a very long time. Finally her own research found the answers. It is not an easy thing when the dx isn't jumping out at the diagnostician.

I went through weird leg and torso muscle spasms last late summer. Enough we did a couple of work ups for a couple things that ended up negative. I started on Baclofen. Initially insomnia was off the charts. Stopped it then reintroduced at a lower dose. I think the connection for me was I took Tramadol almost daily over the summer. It was causing too much constipation, I decided to go back to my regular old pain. What allot of folks don't know about Tramadol/Ultram is it affects serotonin. They're serotonin receptors in the stomach. Hey, happy mind is related to a happy stomach. Any whoses.....tramadol I think the spasms were related to withdrawal from taking tramadol and resulted in the weird spasming. Never had it before or since. BUT I agree pretty weird when these torso muscle groups go into spasm. WIERD. and they hurt. At least with a leg spasm you can do a reverse stretch. Hard to do with the torso muscles. I could do it sometimes b/c I new origins an insertions. But sometimes it was like WTF that's not following the direction these muscles are suppose to be. WIERD.

I had some incontinence at the same time. I got worked up for MS. I asked for the blood test for STIFF PERSON syndrome(SPS). Used to be Stiff Man syndrome, but 80-90% of it occurs in women. Rather than change it to Stiff Women's syndrome, it was changed to Person's(politically correct medical language--UGH).

Incontinence is strange. Incontinence when it occurs b/c one waits to go for too long or is associated with passing stone crystals is way different than absolutely no control. That was a new one on me. Happened a few weeks back too. Each time it was 24-48 hours..........no connecting dots. No clue, I was negative for both MS and SPS and wasn't passing shards at the time.

    Well, life is interesting...........

Junie, I just saw your post about questions in the last couple of days and why hadn't I answered. I kind of been off about the last maybe 5 days. Sorry. Did I answer all your questions. I'm in a stage. Spurts. I'm way into political stuff and reading 4-8 hours a day. Plus, I went on a glass binge this last few days. I'm so seriously addicted to it. I have ten pieces of glass on the table with me. I know what all are, but two. Pulled out 6 b/c I wanted to know market value. You know junkers. "Hey, I paid 6$ and loved to find out it's worth 379$". Well that one ended up --not. I knew it was a missed matched covered butter when I bought it. But made me look at the real butter which was 379$. Then when I pulled this stack of Miss America-AH and English Hobnail by Westmorland, tonight I found in the group I have a piece that doesn't fit either, but should. Plus , I was on a platter chase. I have several I haven't been able to identify. Scrolling and searching. Plus, my fav cousins are leaving Tues. We have been cramming visits. Considering I have 63 first cousins and these two are my favs says it all. All the family were Irish Caths, producing kids from the 30-70's. DS Stephen has 6 first cousins.

I bought a little pedestal plate for 18$, Just seriously liked it. Talked her down from 22$. Sat here and found it Replacements.com had it for 179$ marked down to 129$. It's true value on the day of sale was 18$, but I love thinking that someone thinks a find is valued at a way higher price. That's part of the addiction. Thank god I don't do it in reverse.

I have too go find the glass and post it LOL...........so addicted.

Smarrty, Oh so great to get to go see DS and gal. Please, please, bring back lots of photo's of his new work. I think he is just a brilliant artist. So enjoyed all the pic's of his work before and it's been awhile. What's the updated about DGS's amp. Seems the last I remember he was getting fitted for a prosthesis and something was happening? Maybe not a negative, but something?

FF wow, what's the back story on the driving tests?

OHHH Susan the infamous Mom & Dad come take a look on a house. So, much fun. What did Andrew think of the Microbiome articles about C-section research?
