Oh my goodness Loverly! I know a hair stylist that can help you beautify those feet for you! Maybe a perm with highlights?!?
I need the name of your body shop so I can get my truck refurbished!
Yay! I have another sister!!
Feline, so sorry for your loss! I must have missed it also. My heart and prayers going out to you and your friend's family and friends.
Thank you everyone, my neck feels a little better this morning. It's still swollen, red and hot but no sign of lyme rash. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Sas, the killing off cancer cells is a great idea! We live on 5 acers surrounded by woods so the ticks are a thing of life for us. We take a lot of showers and do religious in depth body checks daily when working outside. Unfortunately for me this was the 5th tick I've pulled this summer. I told my DH yesterday, "good luck with the garden and lawn mowing as I'm officially in hybernanation until winter!" I feel bad for him as wood stocking season is almost here! The thing that really stinks is every time I have a reaction to a tick bite I have to take the Amoxicillin. I don't think I've ever taken 2000mg of amoxicillin in one day before and I've never had it make me woozy... Weird

Hi Wenchie and Sas, thanks for the kind thoughts. You didn't miss anything here. What happened was I mentioned the very sad death last week of a friend (from BC) on another thread and Lover saw it there. X

IRS problem resolved in my favor. I don't owe anything YAY. Oh what a relief it is.......................

yeah Sass, happy dance.
Ok Lover, I've seen your feet and you're much hairy then that! 😝
Sensi, how you doing? Getting into the swing of the new system and back at work? How's the feeling around your chest?
Wench, keep my fingers and toes crossed.
Back home late yesterday, now back to reality and heat.😡

Loverly- too many to count? I have had to get rid of a lot of them by donations or consignment because my feet are not what they used to be....

I just returned from picking up more of my medical records from my BS. They forgot to include the radiology report. I've had 0 problems getting copies of my records... So far!
I also found out why my BS had to reschedule all of the June surgeries. It seems her Visa ran out as she is from Canada. But it was an admin error on Canada's part. Between her trip home to Canada and having a USA lawyer and a Canadian lawyer her case was expedited, and she is back sooner than expected. I'm keeping my 7/6 surgery date as DH and my church have everything lined up for that time frame.
Now, to decide if I want to know what's in the medical records I picked up? Hhhmmmm

Ok, my curiosity got the best of me. That didn't take long! Everything says exactly what has been discussed as far as what procedures we'll be doing. There are 2 things different on my path report than what I was originally told....
1.) that I'm ER+ PR+ Her2- and I was told ER- PR- Her2-. I called Sas and we discussed this at length. Thank you again Sas!
2.) that I'm Stage 2 and I was told Stage 1A
I know the path report I'll get after my procedure will have the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth! So help them God!
I feel much better! Thank you for listening 😏

Well done!

Lori- sounds like you are getting ready for your procedure. Do you have your bedroom set up and or recliner available?
0 -
Jazzygirl, I have everything set up and ready to go. I have my recliner with a basket of snacks, my dressing/medical supplies and every stuff ready to go. I was promised no cancelations this time. I was tempted to tell her jokingly that she'd better not cancel as I know where she works, but I was afraid she'd have me arrested for threatening her. And that would suck big time.

Susie- welcome to our thread. My only recommendation for you post surgery (I had lumpectomy) is to make your bedroom as comfortable as possible. Room for drinks, meds, anything else you need.
Thank you for telling us about MammaRay Susie, prayers coming her way.

Susie...hang in there. Had bmx free tram myself. Many years ago. Only thing I did to help moblilty of arms after is...layed on bed. Put pillows or whatever at right height so I could hang my arm for stretching. As I got better, I would hang my arm off side of bed for complete stretching. I found it more difficult to stand ad do the finger walk up the wall. Since I had surgery incisions from tummy fat moved to breasts, it was hard to stay standing for any length. So I figured a way around it. Good luck, much prayers. And remember......the drains do come out
. They can be yucky. I wore large dresses that were very soft. That helped comfort too0 -
Welcome, Susie. Thank you for letting us know about MammaRay. She drops in here every so often at night. Last time she was here she was having headache. Every time I think about MammaRay I pray for her. You will need lots of pillows to help you when you are in bed or on the recliner. It will be hard to open jars. Front button is better than pull over shirt. When is surgery? There is a June and July surgery thread. It's a good idea to read about the Toradol thread also.
Lori, I would be paranoid living where you live. Very good thing the tick was not hidden from you. Our previous pastor's wife has Lyme Disease. By the time they found out it has already affected her nervous system. Really sad.
Feline, hope you folks don't hit or stay in the recession too long. The uncertainty is enough to cause stomach ulcer.
ShepK, would you stop gliding and land? How did your doc visit go?

Loverly, ticks are the reason we allow the possums to remain on our property without killing them. A single possum can eat up to 5,000 ticks a year. They can sense the lightest touch and are a lot like cats. Everyone thinks possums are dirty filthy animals, when they are very clean. They are like cats as they clean themselves just like cats do. It's very interesting to watch one as it eats. It constantly washes it's feet and face with every bit.
Susie, I will add MommaRay to my prayer list and keep her and her family and friends in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏🙏

just was texting John, mammarays hubby. Said I could share. She has swelling around the area where the gamma was done in her brain. Having trouble getting words out right. She's trying to keep up reading but gets frustrated cause the typing of words is hard for her. They didn't expect this side effect. Not sure when swelling will go down. Gonna test pretty soon. I told him she is much loved by us all :

I will continue to keep MammaRay and her family in my thoughts and prayers

Good Evening Ladies,
Care conference went fine. I'll be going home next Thursday, the 30th. Back to the real world. I will make a fresh green salad for my first dinner home. I've had FAR too many carbs during my stay here. But I am grateful for the opportunity to transition from hospital to home.
In P.T today I did leg strengthening exercises, R.O.M. exercises, plus walked half a block outside twice. I am so exhausted. Took pain meds afterwards and slept for two hours. Still very tired, but it is a good tired.
Wenchie - So glad your neck is feeling better. Hope the swelling goes down soon. Stupid ticks!
Jazzygirl - Sounds like you're having fun cleaning out your closet.

Sas - Yeah! on the outcome of your I.R.S. woes.
Susan - I think I am ready to go home. I just have to make sure to stick to my hip precautions and listen to my body when the fatigue kicks in. No trying to power through.
How are you doing?
I had a TRAM flap reconstruction too. The tummy tuck was rough. Woke up with hospital bed in a V position and turned off so I wouldn't pull out the stitches. That was in 1994.
Loverly - I'm not sure what to say about your foot issue. You might give some serious thought to Wenchie ' s suggestion.

Also, nice upgrade to your car. Like the leopard skin seat coverings. :0)
Welcome SusieM!
Shep - haven't seen you in a couple days. How are you doing.
Sensi - Hope you are doing ok in your transition back to work. Ice packs can be helpful after a long day.
Lookie - Great story about the Puffin and the photographer. I take it you didn't venture down too close to those rocks.
Feline - I am very uninformed on the stuff you were talking about in regard to the EU and was it the British Prime Minister that stepped down?
What is the scoop there?
Ok, guess I'll call it a night (at 7:30 p.m.) & wish you all a good night's rest and sweet dreams.

Evie has cut her first tooth already!

she is so cute

Claire thinks she can sit up I guess. Wonder how long before she fell over...lol0 -
Jazz, rest up as much as you can before you go home

Cute baby girls! I love it :-)
0 -
Awww! Evie & Elena, so cute.
Feline - you can disregard my question. I found a show on CNN discussing the EU topic, so I'm getting caught up.

JunieB!
Quick - make an edit up there above me! First my prison cat... now there's an evil baby! I've been in the deep dark grumpies and you made me laugh out loud. Bless you my friend 💟

Awww ShepK, I had a feeling you were stuck in the pit. Don't hold it. Hugs and hoping the sun will shine in your corner soon.
That was twice JunieB renamed Evie. I figured it was the autocorrect on her phone. Thot I would keep quiet to see if anyone would catch it. Hey Junie, since we are at it, it was Feline not Forward who mentioned the EU. Feline should be up shortly. BUT, I think JunieB is probably in her REM sleep at the moment.
