One of my strange claims to fame is that I was born in the same hospital that MLK died in, 5 months after he was assassinated. It was an interesting world to grow up in, so close to so much history.

We've been watching BritBox all night, but just from checking my phone occasionally I see Trump is already dismantling America.
DH & I fly off for a week in Arizona tomorrow. I will try to check in occasionally, but will be mostly off the grid. We will all need to regroup. 💓

I'm still highly amused over the flags NOT going up after all. Karma has a way of taking care of things that really shouldn't happen. So many did not have to suffer the indignity of disrespect the rest of the world would have seen.
Fact is there will be plenty of that anyway. My worries are not so much FG since the dementia issue is there although there can be a lot of danger to allow a "deficient" person reign. I'm just as concerned for the people around FG and that is who will really get things done. FG is in charge of vengeance mainly.
I still hope that it turns out either impossible or almost excruciatingly too difficult to maneuver a lot of the items that 2025 were focused on. Also, noted, the people leading who will be at the head of some of these depts. won't be any help at all.
I also saw a lot of numbers (percentages) of things people didn't want done at all and many happened today already. I think Trump is not making a great start and it sounds like it could get worse rather fast — and then there will I hope be many, many people who will stand back and offer no support what-so-ever for the man they elected and the Reps. party when they see how they were mis-lead.

What can I say????
For starters, the last couple of pictures I saw of her she looked a little dowdy and the hat hid a lot of that. Also, she stuck her stringy hair up under the hat which I found to be an actual improvement as well. Otherwise, she is the same part of the grifting clan as always. No account what-so-ever.

BREAKING: Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino pours cold water all over Donald Trump on the day of his inauguration by refusing his demands to hand over the Panama Canal to the United States.
This is how you stand up to a would-be dictator...
"The Canal is and will remain Panama’s and its administration will remain under Panamanian control with respect to its permanent neutrality," said Mulino.
Trump himself addressed his designs on the canal during his inaugural festivities, grounding his imperialist fantasies in rhetoric about Chinese control of the crucial trade route.
"Above all, China is operating the Panama Canal, and we didn’t give it to China, we gave it to Panama and we’re taking it back,” he claimed.
"There is no presence of any nation in the world that interferes with our administration," said Mulino.
He rejected Trump's threats and vowed to defend the canal "in the name of the Republic of Panama and its people" in a statement Monday.
"The Canal was not a concession from anyone. It was the result of generational struggles that peaked in 1999, as a product of the Torrijos-Carter treaty, and from then to now, for 25 years, in an uninterrupted fashion, we have managed it and expanded it with responsibility to serve the world and its commerce, including the United States," he went on.
"Dialogue is always the way to clear up the stated issues without undermining our rights, total sovereignty and property of our Canal," Mulino added.
Now that Trump is officially in the White House, it takes real courage to stand up to him. Other world leaders need to follow Mulino's example. The worst thing that they can do right now is bow to this fascist's demands.
