Some of you may have noted that I took out the first copy of H. Richardson's piece today. It did not have any spacing making it sooooo difficult to read. I did not space for accuracy as such — but just to make sure there was some room and also an easier TYPE style to read as well.

I didn't notice at first and was horrified when I saw it. I apologize for my error.

What you get when you hire someone like the two dumbest men in the world who know nothing about how anything works. Greed and avarice are their specialty.

BREAKING: Donald Trump digs his MAGA knife deeper into the backs of our brave veterans as his Department of Veterans Affairs fires another 1,400 employees — a staggering loss for the already understaffed organization.

    And it gets even worse...

Trump's minions terminated 1,000 workers earlier this month but apparently that wasn't enough. The infamously dishonest administration is claiming that the employees fired were "non-mission critical" probationary employees who have worked there less than two years. The truth is that ALL of the VA's employees are crucial because the department was already struggling before the cuts. This is just another blatant effort on the part of Trump to gut the government to pave the way for privatization and tax cuts for the rich.

Republicans won't be satisfied until the VA is completely replaced by predatory private companies that offer inferior services for exorbitant prices.

"These and other recent personnel decisions are extraordinarily difficult, but VA is focused on allocating its resources to help as many Veterans, families, caregivers, and survivors as possible," insisted VA Secretary Doug Collins in a statement.

"These moves will not hurt VA health care, benefits or beneficiaries. In fact, Veterans are going to notice a change for the better," he added. Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee ranking member Richard Blumenthal slammed the "illegal termination" of these additional employees.

"Doug Collins continues to put the interests of veterans last with additional indiscriminate firings of VA employees," stated Blumenthal. "We know these terminations are already impairing the Department’s ability to deliver timely and quality care and benefits to veterans, especially as it works to serve more veterans than ever before."

"These men and women were arbitrarily fired because Doug Collins views them as nothing more than a statistic for his press release," he added. The firings have reportedly created widespread chaos and concern at the VA, which is responsible for caring for the healthcare and benefits of roughly 9 million veterans.

"There is an almost total lack of transparency and communication here," Senator Angus King told reporters. "I don’t know who’s in charge of these firings. I don’t know whether it’s the Department of Government Efficiency, or the White House, or who.” Given that Donald Trump is himself a draft dodger, this betrayal should come as no surprise — but that doesn't make it any less horrifying.

Our veterans sacrificed their minds and bodies for this country. Now, Republicans are hanging them out to dry.

Another Trump humiliation heaped upon us. I'm so sick of that man already that I'm often speechless.

Who knows why Fox news is suddenly willing to tell some truth for a change, but I would imagine so they could say they did. Red states are the ones who have always benefitted the most from the things Trump is now trying so hard to take away. First time out it didn't impact but a whole different story now with burn and slash Musk to help.

Ann CrenshawI Am ashamed of any American who is ashamed of President Trump. He is the best president EVER, every American should get on their knees, and thank God for blessing us with President Trump.

Stuff like this is so hard to believe. Apparently this woman is in no danger of losing anything but her mind which seems already to be gone. She seems to be one of those totally brainwashed/damaged and just is unable to view suffering as real. If it didn't happen to her — it's not happening at all. Well, many of these people may end up (as some already are) forced one way or other to face some really unpleasant truths. I hope it hits people like the above like a ton of bricks. The more REAL at last, the BETTER.

Greatness is not found in possessions, power, position, or prestige.

It is discovered in goodness, humility, service, and character.

Been in here before but so true it is definitely worth the repeat. In fact, in many ways it is even more so since he hired (more like bought by) Elon Musk to slash and burn for him.

That is not working out well and less so since Musk was soundly rebuffed by his current edict of having to write up what you did last week. Musk still slithering out from under quite weakly and Trump not sure — voluntary but maybe you get fired if you don't???? Does he even know the direction up is over your head……

Still only grazing some news and rarely bothering with what is on t.v. We shut down our Hulu account and now only do free streaming. Pretty much leaves us with local news channels which do not have near as much 'political' news. It has been difficult — not so much on news as I had stopped watching much. Dh would turn it on, but I would spend time on my computer and if I 'watched' anything it would be something 'startling' and then back to the computer or reading.

It truly does sound like Musk blew it big time with his last ultimatum that he had to later opine was really voluntary. All I want to know now is how much longer must he be put up with and I do know that is partly up to Trump. If and when Trump makes a move to void Musk it will be too late for Trump as well. He is pretty much under water with approval now and I can't believe that gets better.

My outlook while guarded is much better not experiencing 24-hour news anymore although that went pretty quick after the election. I do still swing a bit back and forth since I'm wishing so hard for positive results NOW for Democrats and things just can't go THAT fast. James Carville says we should all relax because we are in the middle of the Trump collapse. Well, he seems to think that Trump only has another month or so. I am so hoping that he is absolutely right. Not sure what things will look like after, but the majority of that ill wind needs to blow backwards on the makers of it for sure.

Happy to see you back Ruth and so glad you put the REMINDER meme in. I think there is a lot of angst going on not only with those being fired, but as well with in some cases relatives of some of those who have been fired or have been told they are likely next.

I glanced at one Facebook entry from a mother (who in fact voted all three times for Trump) and she was sooo upset because her daughter (federal worker) was fired. I now know there is a real la-la land because so many of these people must have been there at election time. I can't begin to tell you the thousands of no sympathy entries she inspired. I bet everyone here has seen a few of 'those'. It was incredible. I do not feel sorrow for the adults although I do feel for any children who get impacted over what their elders, or parents have done.

I thought Trump made it quite plain that he was going to put several federal agencies/bureaus through the meat grinder and dump as many as he could from them — maybe even wiping some of them completely out. I'm sure it is what I heard.

I do think one thing — some of the la-la landers have actually apparently activated some of their brain cells now — now that it is just a tad late.

Having said that I did read a headline in Meidas Touch that said that an internal maga rebellion has broken out. Against mainly Musk. Seems Trump and he are breaking the social contract between the U.S. citizens and heir government.

I also noted that some Reps. are getting really raked over the coals at their town halls by their very angry constituents. All in all I would none of this bodes very well for Trump. I think it possible perhaps for he and Musk to get obnoxious with each other soon if Trump can keep enough brain cells together long enough.

It does sound like is a lot more tension and upset 'out' there somewhere that we may not be hearing a whole lot about, but if so I hope it just keeps building. Does sound very much like there are mainly losses going on in Trump's corner and Musk is the cause. Lets hope that a lot of those Reps. keep exercising some of those dormant brain cells because it should mainly be good for us.
