I just called my senators and representative to express my horror at the just finished news conference where Trump threw Ukraine under the bus and jumped right into bed with Putin. I'm glad I don't need to get my blood pressure checked right now.

I too saw the Trump/Vance fiasco. How horrid and disgusting. I think we won't hear much from Reps. but I would imagine some of them are not happy either. Since when does a person (so called president) start a feud with a person asking for cooperation and reasonable dialogue in the Oval Office in front of the world at large. Demanding he be thankful and then saying he wasn't grateful at all. Beyond the pale.
ETA: Talking loud does not do much — does not mean you know what you are talking about or are not lying, or even have the upper hand.
What a completely without tact and tasteless display. If I was not here in my own home where no one can see me I'd be hanging my shame in shame.

I read in another place that the writer of the piece felt Rubio would quietly resign within a year. Looking at this picture, that would not really surprise me. I don't think much at all of Rubio and haven't from almost the first — but he does know when major SHOULD never HAPPEN have taken place.

Most other countries are praising Zelensky. Would be nice to think some Reps. (the twin instigators of the fiasco) are getting the message that they may have put one over on some of the dumbest and most loyal maga's but not much of anyone else.

Here's what will happen: Zelenskyy bought so much good will with the rest of the world today that he will get all the help he needs elsewhere. Without the US. And without benefits the US would have otherwise enjoyed. Trump is never getting those minerals now. Other countries will, after offering fair deals for them.
