It seems, oddly enough, that it's people with a strong faith who are be stable to live in the present moment. Enjoyment of the present, care for the quality of life: these are a kind of reverence, a kind of faith in life itself. The present is valuable, this faith tells us: it is all we have.

Some days you just wake up sure you are on the wrong planet. Obviously, it is not possible to take that huge orange turd and his ignoble sidekick and throw their asses into prison where they both belong. For that matter Vance and Johnson should be going along for the ride — and their part in this destruction we are all being forced right now to live with.
So, it's not my best day for sure. The orange handlers are falling all over themselves to pump up Mr. O Turd, while a great deal of the media tags dutifully right along.
The hope is that should Turd Nobody Musk continue on we should get to a point where we can see helpful, saving moment from our side. I'm sure some is happening but the noise and chaos of the other side right now makes it seem like our side is standing still. There are a lot of Reps. who just lost their jobs and they are hurt, bewildered, scared and totally upset and willing to say so.
Also, the tariffs (no last-minute reprieve) are definitely on so if your prices have not gone up much — well you know. Those same people who just lost ALL those jobs are going to have a lot more to be upset about. At least we have been expecting the worst from Nov. 6th. (even slightly before) on and so the pain is there but not the surprise. Still going to make me nervous. We can squeak through I think, but it is going to take some hard adjustments.
Okay — rant over. Don't know about tonight. I'm not much into watching the fiasco. I have places (like Meiddas Touch) to get solid viewpoints after. Dh might find a station with something on - but I'm usually at my computer anyway. We dumped our HULU subscription so only stream from free channels like Roku now. That is one of the good cost cutting measures, but to be honest we were going to do it anyway. It does give us $80.00 a month to use for something else.
