It’s horrifying that it’s come to this, but as someone with a deep affinity for Europe I feel moved seeing that continent come together to try to save itself in the absence of any meaningful aid from the totalitarian regime that’s in the midst of taking over the United States through an illegal coup. - Seth Abramson

Well, that's a bit telling.

How about some Musk savings from this Freaky Fu** Up. After yesterday's disgrace wasn't costing us enough.

Couldn't agree more. Lindsay Graham needs to be gone, gone, gone.

Said by a contributor:
Vance is not worthy to lick Zelensky’s boots. He was a senator for less than 2 years, only elected bc a wealthy billionaire backed him in order to end our democracy. That’s the totality of his government experience and has no right to address someone like president Zelensky, let alone in the way that he talked to him.
it was a shameful display by Vance who no doubt was actually proud of himself. He is just another hue bootlicker.

In case you want to share this with anyone.
The budget bill passed by the Republican House of Representatives provides huge tax breaks for the wealthy few, while would increase hardships for poor and working class folks throughout the country.
Here are some provisions that would directly affect us in the Midwest.
- It cuts the Department of Agriculture by 21%.
- It eliminates rural development programs.
- It cuts critical medical research.
- It eliminates funds to support rural airports.
- It cuts the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, the folks who warn us ofextreme weather.
- It cuts state & local FEMA grants.
- It eliminates the program that helps small manufacturing companies create new jobs.
- It cuts heating assistance programs.
- *63% of nursing home patients pay for their care with Medicaid. What happens to them?* Nationally, Medicaid covers 4 in10 children, 1 in 4 adults with disabilities, nearly 50%of kids with special needs, 41% of births......which equals 21 % of Americans. What happens to these people? We really can't claim that all life is sacred if we are not willing to help those who are less fortunate, can we?
Martin Luther King said that budgets are moral documents. If you don't think the House budget lines up with North Dakota's values and priorities (or whatever state you live in), I urge you to contact your U.S. Senators and ask them to work towards a budget that is both smart and compassionate.

The budget information is stunning Ruth. I had saw some of those but some were new to me. I have already sent letters out. My son passed away but during the first Trump years he had to leave the coast ( Ca) and move inland due to cuts to disability then. I can't imagine what it might be like for him now. I miss him so much but that other part of me is glad that he won't suffer Trump again. I do feel for all those who will though.

Boy, does Trump look a little deranged or what?

Besides he was the only MAN in that room despite the 'suits' of the others. Sometimes it is obvious when clothes DO NOT make the man.

Not too surprising at all.

This is just fine with RFK and apparently the WH. It's offensive to even think of allowing such a thing when it is totally and very safely preventable and we have done so for years.

The price we will all have to pay for the Trump tantrums and love of other dictators.
