I am not surprised that they are looking for warm bodies to flesh out his "great egotistical parade" that is not honoring the army but his constant need to be fed pablum. He did this for his rallies and insisted that they not pan the empty seats, yet there were some news agencies that did show how empty the arenas were. I have no intentions of even turning on any news on Saturday but will watch programs on the subscriptions I have which have no comeercials or break-ins for important news flashes (which in my opinion are not, for the most part, important nor emergent).
I'm not at the point where my knees would support participating in a "No KingDay" nor do I wish to deal with the rabble rousers who plan on sabotaging a peaceful demonstration. I truly feel those with DTS, are not us, but his followers who blindly follow and kiss the ring (ass). The local online newsfeed called, Next Door, already has his followers viciously attacking anyone who begs to differ and they are already rabid about how ICE needs to eradicate the US of "illegal aliens" who are living the life of luxury because the receive SS, etc. Sad they do not realize they contribute but can't collect.
So tired of hateful people who have no compassion at all. One woman posted a really hateful message when a local TV station showed 3 high school graduates who were here from the Ukraine. She wanted them sent back immediately into a hell of a war zone.
Meanwhile my favorite asshole former governor, Mike Huckabee (needs to lay off the hair dye) went off script about how the Palestinians are not entitled to Gaza and need to be absorbed by other Arab countries and all that land should be ceded to Israel. I think he needs to reread the history of the area. Seems they were quick to reply that we wasn't speaking for the State Department. Yeah, he was, he just let the cat out of the bag too soon. We know it is coming.
I am saddened by how our esteem has become so damaged and tarnished in just under 5 months. If I wasn't as old as dirt and didn't have family I'd miss, I'd consider moving to another country.

Ruth, thank you. I am usually taken by those you add in and I'm especially touched by the one above. Both you and Betrayal are right. We need to have empathy and enough sympathy to help when we can. We are all here for a relatively short time and it would be so much nicer if we were more cognizant of others — just because. Some might like to pretend that we don't need each other but that is so far from the truth.
Even Elon Musk found out for all his money that he really (at least for now) may need to have the Loon in his corner and that is somewhat vice-versa since Loon is only a rich borrower, borrowing from one to pay another etc. He needs riches which he has more of on paper than anywhere else.
Sometimes I would like to care a little less. Just reading some news can bring tears to my eyes while reading about people I don't even know. But I know either they or their families might be suffering so much right now.
It is somewhat beyond me to understand how a person can NOT feel anything — but that is what makes all the rest of us fortunate. We may cry over something or with someone, but we are able to find genuine enjoyment and almost as much as when others enjoy or do something special. What a beautiful, special thing.
Blessings my friends. We have blessings to enjoy not only when we help but when we get to enjoy each other. We can feel and that is a treasure.

Well, that is the total pits — getting paid in crypto. There is nothing too surprising about it though. The Loons middle name is cheater. What a cheapskate but what would one expect of someone who tries to gold plate everything in the places where he lives and works. He sees opulence and most of us see tawdry imitation. What he has done to the Oval Office makes me gag.
I also read this morning about the soldiers in the audience at his latest Ft. Bragg speech/whining session/lying diatribe were hand picked for him — so they were all slim, trim and in heavy agreement with anything THEIR guy had to say. Not sure how much of this may have gone on last time ( surely some) but it is standard this time around. Just more cheating in any way possible by the Reps. and the Loon. While I feel some hesitation saying it because I can't offer proof I did read this morning that the Reps./Loon cheated their way into getting the House, Senate, and presidency this time around and it is something I have thought for some time.
Kamala Harris had so much energy/enthusiasm and aplomb next to Trump and yet……so while I always had questions like everyone else, we got stuck with the abomination. So far, while we have suffered at the same time I do feel whatever roadblocks were possible have been applied and will continue on in that vein. If things I here were to be automatically believed, I'd think the Democrats were in pretty bad shape. That is according to the other side — but that is their game. Sow doubt and fear and try to make us give up as there being no use to 'argue' the point.
The cheating — on everything has I think been monumental and until we can get through an election cycle and change some of the dynamics we are going to seem in a negative position. Just when it's the right time to hang on tenaciously.

BREAKING: Donald Trump's big night at the Kennedy Center goes horribly wrong as attendees pelt him with insults and screams of "convicted felon" and "rapist" during a performance of Les Misérables.
This is exactly what this monster deserved...
The night started off rocky on the red carpet when a reporter tried to ask Trump about the roughly one dozen Kennedy Actors who were planning on walking out rather than perform for him.
"I couldn't care less!" Trump snapped, sounding like someone who couldn't possibly care more. "Honestly, I couldn’t. All I do is run the country well."
"There’s no inflation. People are happy. People are wealthy. The country is getting back to strength again," Trump claimed with Melania at his side. "That’s what I care about."
In reality, inflation is around 2.45%. Meanwhile, this administration is in free fall due to Trump's disastrous policies. Our allies are running into the arms of China as Trump turns America into an unreliable trading partner and flaky strategic partner, protests are sweeping the country in opposition to his fascist ICE crackdowns, and domestic economic growth has withered.
The Kennedy Center itself hasn't escaped Trump's incompetence either as his heavy-handed takeover of the Center's board has led to a more than 1/3 decrease in subscription sales.
Once inside, things went down hill fast...
After the conclusion of the first act, Trump and Melania stood up to a few cheers from some of their diehard supporters in the crowd. But the broader response was overwhelmingly negative.
"Felon, you’re a convicted felon!" one woman yelled up from the orchestra section. "Convicted felon, rapist!" A security guard quickly hustled over to her and appeared to escort her out.
While Trump was away from his seat, the crowd watched, waiting for him to return.
"F*ck Trump!" one person called out and was met with cheers and claps of approval. When someone else yelled "We love you" they were booed.
Trump eventually returned to his seat and pumped his fist three times, invoking his behavior in the moments immediately following the assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania.
A group of drag queens engaged in a powerful act of protest by sitting beneath the presidential box, using their very presence to challenge Trump's vow that there will be no "woke" drag queen performances at the Kennedy Center under his rule.
Tara Hoot, one of the queens in question, said that their full drag appearance was a "message of inclusivity. I really love musicals, I mean I’m a drag queen.”
"A lot of people have been applauding, asking for pictures," said drag queen Vagenesis said. "Some people are throwing some glances, confused about what they see, but that’s always to be expected wherever we go."
The irony of Trump attending a performance of Les Misérables — a story about the deprivations of poverty, the unjust actions of brutal law enforcement, and armed revolution — while protests against MAGA rule are erupting all over America was not lost on some attendees.
"Seeing some of the actors and actresses, it looked like they were singing at him, instead of just singing to the crowd. And it felt really powerful and I liked it," attendee Cara Segur told CNN. She said that she "found it kind of ironic that he was here" given the content of the musical.
When the show finally ended, Trump scampered out before the lights came up, allowing him to evade further embarrassment.
