This sounds good and did when I first read it, but there are places where ( in Florida they can just run over you I guess) you might have to run to get away — so sitting down would not at all be optimum. But I agree that hopefully in every state people might have formulated what seems the best plan for their state to differentiate between peaceful protest and those trying to cause uproar and trouble so you look bad.

BREAKING: Democratic Senator Alex Padilla rips apart the "BS" MAGA lies around the viral clip of fascist goons assaulting and detaining him at Kristi Noem’s press conference.
Republicans just turned this man into a political superstar…
“So as we’re waiting, waiting, I say, ‘Well, they haven’t been responding to our inquiries and our letters. Maybe we go listen in and see if they have anything new to say,’” he told the Pod Save America podcast.
Despite Republican claims that he was unruly and disruptive, Padilla explained that he was “literally being escorted” by a National Guard member and an FBI agent and was permitted to enter the room.
“They open the door for me. I’m standing in the back,” recounted the senator. “Trying to listen, you know, I don’t want to get in front of the cameras or in front of the reporters and just the rhetoric is too much.”
“Not the first time, but the second time they claim that Donald Trump and Secretary Noem is here to liberate the people of Los Angeles from the governor and from the mayor — that’s when I spoke up, right?” Padilla said. “I had a question to ask. I wanna call ’em out on their misinformation.”
“Anybody who’s seen the video knows that I repeatedly introduced myself,” he continued. “They knew who I was. I was not lunging at the secretary. I was, you know, halfway through the back of the room on one side trying to get a question out.”
“It took all of maybe half a second for multiple agents to be on me … and shoved out the door and before I know it, I’m on my knees, I’m on the ground getting in handcuffs,” said Padilla.
Trump officials claimed that the violent actions of Noem’s minions were justified because Senator Padilla failed to identify himself. In truth, the video shows that he clearly identified himself, saying “I’m Senator Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary.”
Not only that, but he was wearing a shirt with the United States Senate logo on it.
“It says U.S. Senate. And if you watch the video, I repeatedly introduced myself. So this is all BS. It’s all spin,” said Padilla.
The senator said that after the incident, he was able to speak with Noem for the first time.
“That’s why despite being in handcuffs one minute when being offered a meeting with her, an audience with her, to the next, I said yes, because I was there to do a job, right? I’m a member of the United States Senate,” said Padilla. “I have questions. I’m requesting information. And if that’s what it took to finally get an opportunity to ask those questions and get some information, then that’s why I took it.”
"The big takeaway here is if they’re willing to — if a senator asking a question scares them so much that they’ll deploy agents to put a United States senator in handcuffs, imagine what they’re doing to people out there, maybe subject to an immigration raid, who have a question … may be requesting their lawyer but not getting that opportunity,” he continued.
“These are dangerous times for the United States of America," concluded the senator.

Trump Looks Like A Stunned Corpse As The Middle East Burns
The White House released a photograph of Trump in the West Wing as the conflict between Israel and Iran grew, and it was the picture of a person definitely not up to the moment

Netanyahu has been planning to use the Israeli military to strike Iran’s nuclear program for several US presidential administrations. When Netanyahu told his friend Donald Trump that he planned to attack Iran, Trump asked him not to do so because the US is trying to reach a nuclear deal with the Iranians.
Unless previous presidents, Netanyahu has so little respect for Trump that he ignored the current president and launched the attack anyway.
Iran retaliated.
Iran’s UN Ambassador said that the Israeli attack killed 78 people and wounded 320. Israel reported that Iran’s missile attack on its country wounded 34 people.
The White House released a picture of Trump in the West Wing, and it was not reassuring:
Trump looks stunned. Maybe Trump is confused, or doesn’t know where he is?
Trump isn’t in the Situation Room getting the latest updates or trying to ease escalating tensions. Nope, the reportedly declining president looks like he may have wandered into the wrong room.
The United States did have a president who had a firm grasp on foreign policy, but the mainstream media decided that Joe Biden was too old and the country would be better off if he were replaced by a guy who looks like a stunned corpse being held up by a doorway.
The Trump administration said that it helped Israel shoot down some of the Iranian missiles that were fired at it.
A strong president wouldn’t be standing around looking stunned while the Middle East is on fire. A strong president wouldn’t be ignored by a supposed ally. A strong president wouldn’t need to waste millions of dollars on a military parade to celebrate his birthday.
The Middle East is burning, and all declining Trump can do is stand and watch.

I very much agree with the sentiments expressed above. In fact, as I scrolled down to see that picture I was actually stunned. I do think there may be many times when Loon is not exactly in the same 'spot' of time as everyone else these days and it certainly does look this might be one of those. Apparently in my mind's eye anyway he is and likely has been dreaming of his big barren bash tomorrow. If it comes off as planned. I haven't checked the weather for Washington tomorrow — but from earlier mentions it doesn't sound like it will be pleasant.
Also where he is concerned it is al such a tasteless waste and the day after if not before he will be back to his mean, ugly self spewing God knows what that is not positive and certainly liable to be un-true for sure.
I noted in the picture as well that he has his treasure picture of his nearly ripped off ear that was likely actually scratched with a plastic shard or something. How quickly it all went away and so I've thought often again that perhaps he did not want people asking too many questions and delving in to get too much information. This should be something he is only now starting to let go and yet there was so little said and made of it. So, I do wonder if it was some sort of put up thing — whatever. With someone of the Loon's lack of stature you just expect not to get truth and to led away somehow from even looking into some things.
Some days you don't know what to think in such a topsy-turvy mish-mash of lies, deceit, and more lies and every kind of chaos one can imagine floating heavily through all of it.

To awaken each morning with a smile brightening my face; to greet the day with reverence for the opportunities it contains; to approach my work with a clean mind; to hold ever before me, even in the doing of little things, the Ultimate Purpose toward which I am working; to meet men and women with laughter on my lips and love in my heart; to be gentle, kind, and courteous through all the hours; to approach the night with weariness that ever woos sleep and the joy that comes from work well done—this is how I desire to waste wisely my days.

Great entries Ruth. I'm a very huge fan of John Pavlovich and have been for a long time. Just as much a fan of our Constitution. It is very painful to the heart to see a man (very stupid and insane) make such a mockery of something that has meant so much to so many their whole lives long.

I read on the way here that a former Minnesota statehouse speaker Melissa Hartman and her husband were killed in their own home, while 8 miles away another couple John Hoffman and wife were wounded. These people are Democrats from Minnesota.
I find this horrendous and obviously totally un-acceptable. The news report said that it actually looked like a police vehicle (lights and all) as well as police personnel. I hope and pray that the criminals involved in this are indeed found and thoroughly investigated. I think there was some notice in advance, but likely it was not really understood or known that people would show up as part of those we look upon for help. There will be more on this some time later. but this is what we I think have all feared most — being made targets.
I hope these things as well will become as un-acceptable as some other parts of the Trump regime. Much of what is happening is not wanted to the degree that Maga people are finding out that many of them are getting trounced on and they know it will continue. It will be, I hope, a lot harder for those trying (after Loon is gone) to keep Trumpism around to do so if enough of the Maga feel used, cheated and then discarded.
In the meantime though, there is still that fact that we have nothing but guns floating everywhere around in this country and way too many people willing to use them for ill-gotten reasons. The above is just one instance.

Trump Posts Saturday Morning All Caps Message About His Military Parade Complete With Grammar Errors
How do you miss that?

Yes, he wrote “perade” instead of parade.
The parade is meant to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. It also happens to fall on Trump’s 79th birthday. He says it is not about him, but everything points back to him. He will give a speech, receive a folded flag, and lead a military ceremony.
The Army has brought in more than 6,000 troops, 150 vehicles, and 50 aircraft. The streets of Washington are lined with tanks. There will be fighter jet flyovers and fireworks.
People online reacted quickly. Some said the “perade” looked like a joke. Others said it suited Trump perfectly. They called it careless, selfish, or just plain lazy.
Some joked that “perade” might be short for “pervert” or “parody.” Others said it sounded like “charade.” A few blamed it on old age, while others simply called him a moron. Most agreed it was a bad look, especially for someone who always wants to appear strong.

We do not and never have had a Ft. Lee. The hand-picked soldiers behind him likely mainly didn't care that Loon didn't much know what he was talking about, again.

It's time for him to be in a home — far away from the one he is in right now. Comon' media and others. Give it up.

Tried to check this earlier and unable to get a 'decent' read then, so I so very much hope this is true. I know it may seem small of me, but why should I hope anything decent for a man bent on hurting the world and getting way too much help with the project by so many right wingers, news outlets and Reps. who are quaking in their boots over the muddled mess that is Trump the Loon.

Several times over indeed.

Not even five months into his presidency, Trump has already ended America’s global economic and strategic leadership, the world is on fire, and we have Fox “News” clowns leading our military. Oh but he is throwing himself a North Korean-style parade as a reward!
Welcome to the Twilight Zone.

This is how to set the Loon's teeth on edge today.

BREAKING: U.S. Marines deployed to Los Angeles shatter the law on behalf of Donald Trump by illegally carrying out their first detainment of a civilian in modern history — and their victim was an Army Veteran headed to the VA.
But it gets so much worse...
The deeply disturbing incident was caught on camera and marks the first known instance of the military apprehending someone during this LA deployment. Trump's fascist crackdown on protestors has turned Los Angeles into an occupied city.
As The New York Times observed, it was "noteworthy in one major way" because "federal troops are rarely deployed on American soil and are rarely seen detaining U.S. civilians, even temporarily."
The veteran in question was Marcos Leao and although he was eventually released from custody, the temporary apprehension was a blatant violation of The Posse Comitatus Act 1878 which expressly forbids the U.S. military from conducting “law enforcement” operations within the United States.
The only time that Posse Comitatus can be broken by the president is when Congress grants express permission, which it hasn't, or when the Insurrection Act has been invoked, which it hasn't. This is a clear cut violation of the law.
By forcing these Marines to deploy to an American city that had no need nor desire for their presence, Donald Trump made an incident like this inevitable. It is, without question, a "high crime or misdemeanor" on his part and a valid foundation for immediate impeachment.
Reuters reported the incident and it's spreading like wildfire across social media. A spokesperson for the U.S. Northern Command has confirmed that the detainment occurred but said that Leao was handed over to Department of Homeland Security officers after roughly 10 minutes. He was ultimately released by them as well.
Of course, the length of the illegal apprehension is totally irrelevant. Even a two second detainment by Marines would have been a violation of the aforementioned act.
Leao was minding his own business on his way to visit the Veterans Affair campus when he crossed yellow tape around the Wilshire federal building. At that point, Marines from the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment sprang into action to do what they've been itching to do. They detained Leao and zip-tied him.
The fact that Leao is a veteran only makes this story that much worse. He bravely served his country in Iraq and was granted U.S. citizenship as a result of that military service. Now, he's being treated like a criminal by this hateful regime.
Donald Trump has always dreamed of being a dictator and now he's making a play for it before our very eyes. The time to protest is now. If we don't make our voices heard the last of our rights will vanish into vapor.
No one is going to rush to have the Loon pay for his high crime and misdemeanor so very unfortunately we are once again stuck with watching this mental mess walk around in highly un-deserved freedom.

Could you get any more despicable than this. I guess if you are Reps. and cheering on the Loon and Ice. Such shame on our country.
