Hi Mel. Good to see you again. Check in when you can, we miss you. You made this Thread possible. Yes, KBL passed, and so did exbrnxgrl. Close to the same time.
I too am so tired anymore. Is it from the meds? The stress? Getting older (I will be 55 in October)? I nap almost every day now. I try to fight it, but I just doze off. It is frustrating. I used to work (8 years ago) 12-hour shifts. Now, I feel like a wimp that has to nap every day.

@shanagirl In your pocket to see where this cough is coming from.
@micmel I can empathize with the exhaustion dealing with your cancer and treatment, 9.5 years is nothing to sneeze at for sure and you have been through a lot of drugs and treatment, helping Gabby is also a strain on the system, I do hope you can at least nap sometimes to recharge your batter. In your pocket sending energy.
@goldensrbest Yes, the apartment, espcially the floor is much better. Still needs a mop but looks decent enough with daily sweeping and a quick run of the vacuum cleaner. I am looking forward to the rubbermaid totes that will hold different things, I am looking forward to it. I still love the regular broom and the dustpan that goes with me.
I just got up, was foolish yesterday though. I burgers all day long. I did load lots of veggies, deluxe cheeseburger from mcd which let me add extra tomato for free, all other burgers charge for even one, junior chicken, extra lettuce. Then I gave myself a harvey's burger joint meal, I topped a small cheese burger with tomatoes, lettuce, olives and cheese and bacon. The food orders were not the mistake, I got a pop with the harvey's and had chocolate at 7pm. Bad, bad, bad for going to bed at a decent hour. I will reset my clock and if supper is ordered, no pop.
My day is looking like more laundry, yay. Possible, I still have in the sink, need to take out and dry. Getting sloppy again with just leaving the sink full and soaking. Need to set a better schedule to let soak but stop soak and wipe off with the scotch brite sponge. I do stretch those by cutting half. I like to stretch supplies.
As far as food, I am looking to possibly have 1/4 cup rice and some chili beans, keeping the sauce, realizing that things do not need as much seasoning if purchasing in a sauce meant to be used. I also have to locate my canned vienna sausage, still have not used those. Plan, make rice of course. Let set up, take the frypan, add canola oil, small pat of butter and garlic spread, small amount of that, heat to high rice and beans and sausage. Heat that up quickly and turn off heat, should be good.
I hope all have a good day, in pockets sending energy to those who need it and support for everyone.

Just an aside comment that may just solve my overwhelming anxiety at seeing such a full sink. I took one of the Walmart plastic made bags and put about 1/2 the sink items in it, washed up only what I thought I needed for the first meal. Only using one small pot for the whole meal, used some leftover KD and heated that up, will add beans and shredded cheese, add a 1/2 tsp of butter, 1/2 tsp of garlic spread. Turn heat back up. Still either going for chili or chipotle beans. Add a small amount of queso, And let all sit in the heat of the warm pan. I think it could be good, still want to find vienna sausages.
Edit on meal. Added the approx 1/4 cup KD noodles, heated those first and let cool. Forgot the cheese shreds and added beans that came in a tomato and pork sauce, added around the same accout. Added some queso and a squirt of ranch. Debating crushing up tortilla chips and adding final dollop of sour cream. Dry seasonings included 1/4 tsp salt, a light dust of sour cream and onion as well. I am surprised at how enjoyable this was and the noodles from the KD, swell up nicely. Still got the cheese pack as well, unopened.
Tonight planning a straight up egg on a tortilla, flattened in the quesadilla maker. May add some shredded cheese as well, not ready for dinner yet, coming soon.

@shanagirl Happy to hear you felt better mentally about your report. Sheesh now laryngitis, I also used to get that at least once a year. My DH and kids always had a blast with it lol. Hope it passes quickly.
@micmel We could never forget you , your the reason we all love the living room! Thanks for finding the time to pop on here. Continued prayers for strength and healing.
@mara51506 Good idea with the plastic bag to help with dish anxiety. Do whatever is needed to ease your mind.
Hi to all here , wishing you a restful night ❤️

I did sleep alright, slapped a wig on already, waiting for delivery. Coming by fedex which I am not excited about because I have never had a successful delivery with them. Bracing for disappointment but mentally telling myself it will be OK. They never contact to tell me they are here so will go out every few minutes to check once I see it is arriving. Supposed to get text and email updates too.
EDIT So nobody called me of course from FEDEX, left a drop of tag but I do not have the ability to pick up and DB is away, leaving it at the package centre since I cannot go myself. Treating as an oops purchase and know that I will not have stuff. Besides upon reflection that would have been too big for my place.
I did go on Amazon and found something else I think is more suitable and more attractive. A stackable grey little box that also collapses, holds 64 L or 10gallons of stuff, as said, is collapsible. I can really tidy up the recycle area by my door. Got 4 boxes coming, they also do not resemble garbage cans. I also have my technology centre on a tv tray and in a basket, keep all my phones, tablets chargers. I do not throw anything away. I still have 4 laptops and enjoy playing with those, installing operating systems etc. These containers would be useful, can be used to hold grocery like a pantry. They come tomorrow and as said, cannot be bothered worrying or trying to pick up my fedex, lesson learned. I am happier with what is coming so if not needed, they will collapse. Also, they are pretty cute which is a bonus so can organize the recycle, store other stuff and still give tigger somewhere to sleep on top, he loves the large box from amazon. I am happier with my purchase, will use the storage bin out back for extra garbage. Use these boxes for inside storage. I am looking forward to their arrival tomorrow.
Thinking that there is nothing wrong with having nicer looking storage and that this may be the bonus I did not see coming.

Beyond the other post, slept well, laundry going. Ordering Mcdonalds for my disappointment, still got rent and bills fund that I set aside to pay which is AWESOME. I really am not too disappointed if I am being honest. The stuff coming will look nicer. Got a full deluxe cheeseburger meal, removed pickles and added bacon, extra tomato, mayo and got the fries and a coke. Looking forward to it. Not really disappointed now from the too large boxes anyway, these arrive tomorrow. For now seeing what happens with them as I will not be picking them up.
Later concocting a different meal, probably take a pkg of ramen, top with an egg and some of the chili beans. Yummy.
After the meal, still going to neaten up the recycle section and work on dishes. Maybe premake some stuff like mexican rice to put in the fridge and can stretch stuff out.
In pockets for everyone and have a good day.

@mara51506 When you order McDonald's to be delivered, is it hot when it arrives? I always go to the restaurant if I want McDonald's-just curious to know if you have to microwave the burgers and fries before you eat them. I like my food piping hot or icy cold in the case of my Coke zeros. In any case, I hope you enjoy yours-that sounds very good.
2 -
@chicagoan I live close by the restaurants so the are quite warm but I have warmed in the Breville oven on the warm function if it was not warm enough. Once order is picked up by driver, it takes less than 10 minutes. I do not like using the microwave on a meal as it changes the taste for me.
Tonight am treating myself to the deluxe cheeseburger meal again but with sprite as no caffeine in it. Yes, these are not particularly nutritious but a treat as it is almost end of the month and I still have money I keep in a rent and bill payment account and that is wonderful.
@chicagoan The meal was very warm. I added an extra tomato to the cheeseburger deluxe, does not cost extra, had sprite and fries, seasoning with sour cream and onion dry seasoning and a dash more salt.

@mara51506 Hope you enjoyed your Mickey D's treat! Have a restful sleep tonight.

feels like fall today!!!!! Actual fall! Smiling for the first time in a . While. Daughter has chemo today so I’m sitting with her and have my own appt in palliative care doc. So it’s a hospital morning. Hope everyone was toasty warm last night

@cookie54 Yes the meal was enjoyable. Need to stick to home made meals for a bit, I have an autopay that covers skip the dishes meals so that will need to add more balance to my bank card before ordering again.
Slept decently, turned off all fans because it is cold. I will be too hot once the boiler is turned on though so not removing anything, just giving them a good break. Will be getting the collapsible boxes today. As stated before, I had 3 ordered from Walmart but they were shipped by Fedex who never successfully delivers because they do not have my phone number and the call box outside is just to open the door, not to reach residents. I do plan to call them anyway and ask how to add my phone number. The Walmart containers would have been too large for my place anyway but the Amazon containers are actually attractive. I got 4 of them, lid does not seal so if I have extra trash it will continue to live outside til another garbage day. They stack as well.
Beyond that, have laundry to get done which is just fine with me, Put any trash out in the bin out back. I keep trash in a rubbermaid tote with lid in the linen closet but am now storing in the bin out back as well, no one else uses it. Also decided will pick up the recycle box at front too, dump the stuff in the garbage since it is not going anywhere.
Thinking of meals, I think the simplest one would be an egg, cheese, some beans and the mcd patty I pulled out of the freezer with rice. Make the rice first then respray pot and stir everything else in. Probably use some of the condiments I got from earlier meals. Got a mustard that could be added to either sour cream or mayo to add extra flavour. I think my favourite mayo is the mayo chup, it goes well on fries and I have the dry seasonings as well. The beans are a pork and bean, I do believe I enjoy the chipotle best, good thing I have some chipotle mayo too. When my fridge door unstuck itself and had to replace all the stuff, I went really crazy to replace those flavours. I will post if I have anything really good or different.
DB texted, asked if I need to get out, decided it would be a good idea because it has been a month or so since we last went out, he had his 30th anniversary trip and stuff, saw plays it looks like as well. I do not think I should say no to a night out because it is the only visit we get. I will always leave the ball in his court on that one.
I do hope everyone has a good day and in pockets for all.

@candy-678 I have had the ctdna Signaterra test several times and it has been useful tracking tumor DNA in the blood. Mine came down a lot on Enhertu from 65 to 0.5! I wish we could reply to the post we're at instead of scroll back and forth. ..
@shanagirl I hope your cough and laryngitis are better.
I went camping and enjoyed a couple days in the mountains except when i soaked in the creek I sat back with my hands in the gravel and into something like stinging nettle because felt stings and then allergic reaction very itchy ugh the mountain bit me! It's better now after a steroid cream.
I've finished a wood burning project. It took a while because leaning over wears me out fast. I'm slowly learning how to adjust the heat to get the look I want. This is about 3 ft long. Maybe I'll work on some smaller stuff lol

First meal has a little of everything. Took about a third of a cup of Kraft Dinner, boiled up in a well sprayed pot, added the mayo chup and chipot.le mayos. Let it set, there was a little water left over so I reheated and added one egg, burger and a spoonful of the pork and bean mix. I also have some shredded cheese I added.
I have to say that it was delicious, the KD pasta really swelled up, larger than even when making regular KD. I really loved it.
I also got my foldable boxes, too. They are sturdy and. I had trouble figuring out how to put them together at first but got it eventually, got one together so far, just going leave it at one right now. I really do think that the 18 gallon totes would have been too big. For right now, taking apart the boxes they came in and leave them folded up til I figure best storage. I do like them quite a bit.
I am thinking in the recycle area, keep one container that just has stuff tossed in before sorting, take box 2 and stack on top with groceries for the pantry or snacks and keep the area more clear looking, keep other two boxes underneath before figuring out best uses. I do like them and they do look decent.

Well, boxes are great, only unpackaged two so far, really hard flattening such HUGE BOXES. I got them done and will drop out back, get in the edge of the couch and toss the extra recycle in til time to take out, make the area cleaner and neater looking. Keeping the large cardboard box in front ot the closet and put the new two boxes at end of couch. Throw everything in and keep flattened boxes behind my bin that I claimed out back.

Mkestrel your hand looks angry. Nettles or ivy? The wood burning kitty on a branch is gorgeous. You are gifted. Pictures are beautiful. Sometimes nature does stuff but we always go back to our serene places for more.
Mara the boxes sound like a great organizer. I hope your DB takes you out for a glorious spin!
Mel sounds like you’re making the best of your life. Spending a lot of your time caring for Gabby. She’s fortunate to have you advocating and standing by her side. How’s your puppy?
Shana I think llamae has the most experience. I read scans like you and then have fear. Have you called the doctors office?
I had fluvestrant shots Tuesday and PET scan yesterday. Today I went to acupuncture. The b12 shots and treatment gave me a boost.
waving hello to everyone.Take care
Tanya

mkestrel- I sent you a PM.

@mkestrel I love the cat burning art, it looks really good.
@tanya_djamila I am going out with DB, not sure where, probably get some extra eggs, not too much else is really needed but you never know. The containers are nice looking and big, good thing fedex did not wind up delivering the other ones, they would have been twice as big. Still got 2 more to figure out.
3 -
@mkestrel Ugh sorry about your hand, it looks like it would be very itchy. Hope it heals quickly ! You are so artistic, that looks awesome!
@tanya_djamila In your pocket for stable PET results. You had quite the busy week, glad you got a boost form your shot. I hope that gives you some good energy to do something fun this weekend.
@mara51506 Hope you had a nice night out with DB.

he’s up to no good. But we love him Tanya!!! Good to see you all. Chicagoan, hope you’re well and things are good. Mara, thanks for holding the fort down. For so long.
How’s Mae? I have also heard our Sondra passed :( Mrs Divine was a hard one too. Ebernex girl put a hoke in my heart. She was the goat as far as survival time under her belt. I really thought she had it. I’m so sad. Cancer sucks.
rest well. Goodnight to you ladies!5 -
Trip out with DB, SIL and niece was good. We did not stop at a bunch of places, I stuck to a lower cost grocery store, not Walmart, was careful not to overload myself. Got some beef dogs, will use those through this week, just chop them up and add to meals, got a buffalo ranch sort of salad thing, more canned beans and pork in tomato sauce, baha sauce from taco bell and a dozen eggs. Got a bit of junk food, chips doritos zesty cheese, some store brand cheddar and bacon which are yummy and a red pepper, lord knows what I can do with that, may try chopping it up and throwing into meals.
I still like the new boxes quite a bit, they freaked my cat Ava out, she kept going in and out of the room, staring at them and walked out. They do take a lot of floor space but I am not concerned about that. The packaging for the containers is just awful, large boxes and two other thick cardboard boxes inside. I did not open all of the containers yet, just took out the cardboard boxes after flattening them. They are outside behind what I have claimed for myself, the really big container.

Cookie thanks for the support. I read results on my chart. Everything sounds stable but I’ll get Dr read on Tuesday.

Watching the US open and spending time with family is the only plans I have. Grateful for good scan.

Mel - Theo is such a cutie. You are doing such a good job taking care of Gabby, no doubt you are tired. Don’t forget to sneak in some rest for yourself!
Tanya - congrats on being stable. That’s always a relief to see those words.
We got some bad news on Wednesday. Gamble, our 13 1/2 yr old golden went in for her every 6 month senior vet visit. The vet felt something in her abdomen and did an ultrasound, finding a mass on her spleen or liver. Likely the typical golden cancer, hemangiosarcoma. Another vet looked at the ultrasound and confirmed the finding. So we are now in a watch and wait period. Ultimately the mass will start bleeding and the evidence will be pale gums and lethargy. Then it will be time to help her cross the rainbow bridge. Our real concern is actually for 7 yr old Mariah, who is Gamble’s granddaughter. When we lost Bella in February, Mariah spent about a month sleeping in my hubs closet instead of being on the couch with us while watching tv. And Mariah never played much with Bella. But Gamble and Mariah play multiple times a day and I believe the loss will be very hard on her. Damn cancer even takes our beloved pets🤬

Good morning Micmel and everyone, I’m here and doing well. We’re heading home from El Paso today, not for treatment though. We came to town for a 50th anniversary showing of Jaws (in the theater). I was born when it came out, so seeing it on the big screen was fun and a first for me.
Not much going on at home, just quiet mountain life. I have scans in Houston in late September, so I plan relax and soak up summer until then. Summer is easy up here. The weather is mostly dry, sunny and 74-82 degrees with a nice breeze.
7 -
I slept a long while, almost nine hours. This was mostly due to not going to bed the night before. Feels better to have slept.
Laundry, sink, floors, always the floors need doing. Decided to use regular kitchen garbage bags for the litter genie, cheaper and works the same. Love the trowel to pick up anything cemented to the pan, not filling so full either. Makes it easier to wipe down the sides with enzymatic cleaner. Smell is down 90 per cent, especially given I am right next to it.
I am planning something like I have posted repeatedly, take some of the red pepper, rest of the beans and an egg. Take a hot dog, chop it up with some cheese. Steps needed would be some KD noodles, probably a 1/4 cup and make those up first and then boil up one of the giant hotdogs, they are really good, let cool, chop with the cheese and then put all in a frypan or steel pot with plenty of spray and adding the egg to the steel pot first. I prefer the steel pots lately as they do not chip or anything and heat faster. I like the partial box of KD since I can add other stuff like the ground up hot dog and cheese.
Really liking the idea of stretching stuff to have while it tastes good, I have mexican rice packages that I could make up and add other rice or the ramen noodles, I usually break those up as I really am not fond of long slurpy noodles. I will see.
Paying off some bills ahead of tomorrow which always feels good to do. Only thing this month is to stick mostly to cat food and litter on the Amazon and stay close to 35.00 on the Walmart and if out with DB, 20.00 limit since I always pick stuff up with him too. I also have a card that handles groceries for free as well since it pays my rent, internet and phone, gives a lot of rewards for those items and is paid in full on the first. I usually make 45 dollars rewards which goes to my groceries as well and if not used can save the credit for the next month.
Anyway, laundry, meal prep and breaking down of the boxes that brought in my cat food and litter order and putting outside til Tuesday when recycle goes over.
Tigger is supervising the washing and rinsing cycles of the cloths and towels, used them mostly to clean up dust so they were heavily dirty. Used extra oxy clean white revive powder, tide detergent, just a drop and the tide spray as well. Needless to say, even with the small amounts of detergent causes some suds but that is OK. Mid cycle on the water rinse, last cycle is the vinegar rinse to keep everything soft.
Enough from me, hope all have a good weekend, in pockets for anyone who needs me. Only thing I am in my own pocket for is to earn more paypal by playing some fun games since walmart takes paypal. That would come in clutch on my next order of groceries.
