Well, did wind up putting an order in a McDonalds, this time for two deluxe cheeseburgers as I can get more put on, two tomatoes and other stuff like mayo. Plan to eat one now, put other in container and use the different ingredients for other meals. Can likely turn it all into different stuff. I like the fact that this is the only burger that is not charging for extra veggies. It came out of left over bills budget for august which is great. If I want more meals, do the budget boosting stuff though goal is honestly 35 dollars for paypal for a free grocery haul.

It was so good, sloppy too. Lots of tomato, onion and letttuce with mayo sauce and I loved it. Planning some different meals with the second burger as well. Can take one tomato at a time and make the KD type stuff at dinner. It was yummy and used left over rent and bills budget as well.

EDIT, will have the burger tomorrow as well, use the tomato for something else or an egg meal, maybe scrape off the buns and toast them up with some peanut butter or put garlic on for an egg sandwich, I will see tomorrow. I also am in love with the jumbo beef hotdog, it is delicious and had another one today, no need to grind it up, just eat after it cools and I boil them as I have no grill. Like it when the dog starts splitting apart.

@tanya_djamila Glad to hear about your clear scans. Such a relief.

@cookie54 Yeah it would be nice if Tigger could help out but he just helps by looking so stinking cute.

Got up, gave cats some of their wet food, they do have another two bags of dry but the wet is their jam. As usual, Ava finishes up her dish first and tries to go after his food so I am relegated to baby sitting duties.

I do have some more laundry to do as usual, got some of it going in the dryer and there is still some in my spinner. That can be dried next. No plans since places are closed today so just the chores and budget boosting stuff, games mostly on the mobile phone.

As far as food goes, planning to deconstruct the cheeseburger deluxe I ordered extra, has tomatoes, lettuce and of course the beef. Mash it in one of the steel pots and heat up with some different toppings, scrape the bun to make a side of garlic bread when toasted and add some shred cheese and either KD, broken ramen noodles or both, Later will have some egg dish. Still have frozen patties from the last Double big mac. I honestly do not see how people eat that much food all at once.

No stores open, thinking since it is more reasonable, not humid at all, may pick up my anticonvulsant and immodium at the drug store myself tomorrow, not far away and could likely walk the distance. Also thinking I may want to schedule rides on Paratransit for some mall walking at a further away mall later this week. I still have not got on a regular bus so that may be something to tackle as well. I know this fear is unfounded and derives from thinking the driver would not lower the ramp for me getting off. I need to try it anyway at some point before snow flies. Already stocking up on ice that I can put out front for myself and at the end of driveways.

Got two sinks soaking up dishes, some from the bag I used when entirely too many dishes, the other in bathroom as well. Giving half an hour each, drain, rinse and dry them. I have seen fit to employ the smaller washers for silverware and smaller containers. I also need to go into my place that contains my food containers, it is not at all organized between lids and containers. Also need to organize new boxes as I basically just shoved a bunch of stuff in there. Got a sort of more organized idea of where to keep stuff. Still have not picked up the nice size blue box for myself. It just sits out front and goes back and forth between garbage area for pickup and of course nothing changes so will keep the blue box to use here. Just clean it up and bob's your uncle. Score a free container. I am still storing actual garbage in the back bin as nobody uses it, take the garbage out through front door. Have to triple bag as I toss them down the stairs. I was told to do that by a PT person and I must say it is much easier.

Enough yapping, just my budget boosting, like some of the games I play, surveys pay the best but am disqualified most of the time and do not want to lie. That is OK though.

I hope everyone has a good day, good labour day and in pockets for anyone who needs me. In my own to make the food I am talking about.

Mara and cookie I never thought of pets helping out but now you’ve activated my imagination.

So I did not end up conbining the cheeseburger with anything else, tried reheating and the buns came out good but it was cold in the middle, wound up microwaving for about a minute, tasted good after that. Tonight will be the hotdog and cheese chopped together with leftover beans and an egg. Fry it all up in a frypan, dog needs to be boiled and cooled first. Might add some pasta like KD or actual rice. I will see.

I was also able to get some Bush's bean fiesta in the mild chipotle, they are my favourite bean currently. They are coming on Thursday and practically free. Used the monthly interest on one of my bank accounts. Was only 1.00 short.

Going to do a vibe on a soft taco dinner bake, going to find some beans and pasta and one egg. So taking KD pasta, heat it up. Spray another pan and adding garlic spread, bit of garlic salt, like maybe an 1/8th tsp, some of the taco seasoning that comes in the box, add 2 eggs I think, dump heated KD pasta. No meat pulled out yet. Can also cut the tortilla into some strips lengthwise and fry those up in garlic in the breville to mimic chips. I have watched youtube creators using tortilla strips in soup and what, figure that might be good. Figure using soft tortilla to fry up could possibly replace tortilla chips or stretch what I have. Will post as I am going to start it now.

Candy, not sure others who do not live alone could really understand the needs of our pets. Not easy to decide on a surgery which makes it tough to look after them.

Well, got quite a few boxes out for recycle, not all but most of them, any others can be put out back again ,sweating my butt off too. I also grabbed a large recycle container, will clean it up, no number on it and no one living in the unit either. The other container is still sitting out front.

Mara- I only have 1 cat, not multiple, but he is on medicine twice a day. So someone would have to come 7am and 7pm (or so) and give him the med. Take care of his litter and feed him. I was in the hospital 3 days back in 2021, but my sister came over and did that for me. She has since died.

@mara51506 I'm so sorry to hear of your heat exhaustion today. Glad there were some responsive folks around to help.Cancer is a thief of so much in our lives slowly robbing us of the things we enjoyed. It is certainly mentally and physically exhausting . Some days are better than others that's for sure. Today was certainly one of those days for you, the struggles are real. I hope tomorrow is a better day and you feel mentally and physically refreshed. Wrapping you in a giant hug❣️❌⭕️

@mara51506 - Oh Mara, what a terrible thing to have happen, when you were so looking forward to a good walk. You have all my sympathy. I agree with Cookie that it was nice that there were so many helpful people around. I hear you about feeling so robbed of so much by cancer. I think I'd just cry and let it all out too, if it was me. Thinking of you and wishing you all the best. Maybe try again on a fall day. Don't give up altogether.

So I went to bed earlier and woke up feeling much more settled and having slept pretty well.

Decided to leave yesterday as a past unfortunate incident and not letting that cloud my thoughts and realize that getting uptight and staying in 100 percent of the time is dumb too. It will not help at all, need to be able to walk 10 mins and use the bus, no need to try and walk far. Those days are gone for me and that is OK. Still got a good appetite and can look after my own house and bills. That is all I need to do right now. My thought is to train walking around a short block to build tolerance to 10 mins and then be sensible and take the bus or Paratransit places. Only problem I have right now is heat tolerance and that is OK, no balance issue walking. I may decide to start going to the hospital half an hour earlier, walk there, walk around the grocery store kind of like doing laps. I will see. Come winter, walking will not happen at all anyway so all indoor exercise.

My prescriptions are being delivered today which is good, I am out of my tegretol and immodium is coming.

Laundry to be done and is underway, floors need doing, changing the litter genie, got a pile of things to do just that, they are pricy but they are the proper things to use in the litter genie.

Food will be the usual suspects, beans, KD noodles I am working through and another beef patty from McDonalds. Decided to stop ordering the fast food burgers as they are expensive. If I want a burger, need to take the bus there to get it. I am ordering some groceries, got a 35.00 budget and using a card that pays rent, it has a 37.00 rewards credit so will get them off that card. Paid 44.00 by the time taxes were added but still not bad at all. Got a few frozen meals that I like quite a bit, sour cream 2 cans of black beans and meat pies. Also got the queso pasta and chicken bowls, 2 of those. I am planning to stretch them a bit by mixing in some KD noodles. No chips or junk food this time. Items arriving between one and two pm today.

I do hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for all who need me including myself to not get so far down in the dumps because I had a fainting spell in the hot sun. Just need to adjust habits accordingly and be less reactive. For me if I dwell on what I am unable to do, of course that is depressing, think about what I am still able to do.

@goldensrbest - So very sorry to hear about Gamble. She looks so sweet and lovable in that chair. Sending a hug, and thanks for the photo. There are just no words for the loss of a pet.

@mara51506 - Sounds like things are smoothing out and getting back to being more routine for you, and that's good. Darn heat! I bet if it had just been a cooler day, you would have been fine and successful with your walking attempt. I agree with Goldens, that from what I'm aware of your daily life being like, things are not dire. Take it easy and have a hug!

Mara sorry to hear about your overheating walk. You have a good plan to train for 10 minutes walk. Hopefully the weather will cool off soon.

Golden best gamble left sooner than you thought. Losing a pet is never expected even when we expect it. Sorry for your loss.

@intolight Glad I have a plan as well, feeling like it would be a good idea to get some good and safe walking at the gym, take my Paratransit there. Just to make sure legs are strong. Only reason I would not tell family yet is because they would not be happy about me going there. If they notice my legs seem stronger, then tell them I joined the gym to access the treadmill. Only two to three days a week.

@intolight-When I go to the gym, I am usually only there for 20-30 minutes. I use the gym primarily for weight training. If I can get all my machines when I want, I can do my workout in 20 minutes. Water aerobics is also very uplifting. Maybe you can drive separately😄-90 minutes sounds long to me too! Or bring a book or magazine while he finishes his routine. Hope your headache goes away.

@goldensrbest So sorry to hear about the passing of Gamble, such a beauty. Glad she was able to pass peacefully at home.I know aren't any words that can ease your pain, will send a giant hug❤️.

@mara51506 Happy to hear you are refreshed and came up with a good plan. It's a win win for sure. You get to get out of the house safely and work on endurance. I can understand your DB's worries but sounds like you do fine on your own. The check-in nurse is a perfect compromise.

@intolight Hope the headaches subside soon, hugs

@cookie54 I cannot agree more, nursing services or check ins are enough security for me. SIL is worried about DB stress but to be honest, I was surprised he was stressed. Planning to keep them out of minor issues and not talking about the gym until I have signed up and been there a few times. I have also missed a treadmill in my house too.

Glad to hear the celebrex is beginning to work. Thankful that I had my right hip replaced just prior to my initial diagnosis. The left hip is bothering me, but hoping it holds out although MO said if I want to have it replaced, now would be the time. Not concerned about the surgery, but very anxious about the long break from Kisqali that would be required. I have several friends who live alone and did not go to rehab after surgery, but like you, I think I would want two weeks or so. It's not that you can't get around (I walked and went up and down steps within hours of surgery) - it's the fear of falling or some other emergency when you're not at your full strength.

    @goldensrbest

So sorry about Gamble passing. The unconditional love these creatures give us is priceless. Glad it was an easy death for her.

    @mara51506

Sorry about your heat-stroke incident. Sounds like you handled it extremely well and have plans in place to deal with the problem going forward. I had several instances this summer where I felt weak and dizzy from the heat, but it never quite reached what you experienced. The treatments and medications lower our ability to thermoregulate along with so many other issues.

Hi you lovely sweet ladies. @eleanora Interesting how MO's and RN's have different ideas on stopping our chemo oral pills when an infection starts. I've been told yes stop it and no don't stop it. So with this last infection, I stayed on Ibrance. The infection still cleared up, so that's the way I'll probably lean going forward.

@goldensrbest Oh Gamble was such a beautiful golden. I am so sorry for your loss. Most of ours had to be helped over the rainbow bridge, so we consider it a blessing when they can leave on their own terms.

@shanagirl I hope you are doing better and don't let those scans scare you. These radiologists read them and post sometimes too much goobilty goop, sometimes not enough and other times not able to decipher good or bad news. Hey last one of mine said something about an artifact in occipital lobe of brain, couldn't find a lesion from prior scans to confirm. Most likely inflammatory. Considering we all have some inflammation in our body and with MS, I really have my share, I did not get upset. I think reports should say "Ok, nothing upsetting here".

@micmel Oh it's so wonderful to "hear" your voice. We miss you girl and pray for you and Gabby and your whole family. Hug Toby for us and know you are in our thoughts and prayers everyday.

@mara51506 I'm sure glad you are ok after that fright. I found that a headache that won't go away even after meds usually means dehydration. I drink plenty of water but in this heat, maybe plenty just isn't enough? When dishes pile up too much, I like to take a break and use paper plates.

Thinking of @wren44 @cookie54 @chicagoan @intolight @tanya_djamila @illimae and all of the wonderful gals in this support system. I am blessed…

@irishlove I do give myself a break by allowing dishes to soak for a while, then I can simply give a good rinse. That is a good idea with the paper plates.

Just got up, went to bed at a stupid late hour due to watching movies. I slept well though.

Worries about the fainting in the heat thing are gone. Need to watch hydration and making sure iron and all the are me in meals. I was not drinking water, should have been having water before and during the walk. Those are both contributers to the lightheadedness.

Walking in place starting at home, there are good workouts that involve the whole body, can count steps or simply walk really fast in place for 5 mins and monitor steps. I am going to make sure am committed, can do shorter walks this way to strengthen legs, I stopped exercise altogether and let myself get out of shape. Need to start building myself up again starting with the march, 5 mins at a time, several times a day. Do all the bridge poses in the bed so if I trip on something at home, can get back up, do the ankle exercises more, have found those helpful, do those everywhere, get some arm work in. Lots of plans, will start with reliable walking first. I have reincorporated more sit and stands as well. Got arms crossed at chest. Lean torso forward to propel the legs.

OK, so I am at 1000 steps so far, 2 sessions of the around 5 min stuff. I was breathing hard and swinging arms quite a bit, staying with this for a bit, starting at 3000 step goal daily and move up a bit at a time. Like when I walk at the mall and sit for about 30 seconds then get up again. Need to start small when doing mostly nothing. Going to do my third walk and then make a meal to eat

I bought some barbecue and chipotle beans at amazon, going to try those out with some KD noodles and what ever other. I will find out how enjoyable they may be. Got some frozen pasta as well so could have a pasta with bean and egg on it or a mini pot pie instead of pasta.

Laundry on the go, still got some budget boosting I can do, always a good idea to save money, specially if paying off bills. Have a strict cat food and litter only budget unless have earned enough to be free on amazon like my last order of beans were.

I do hope everyone has a good rest of the day, in pockets for those who need me. Mind is clear on tasks I need to do daily re the fast walking in the house and goals for furniture etc and what I need to keep to myself. Not everything needs to be reported re budgeting, housework etc.

I made a lunch, mostly bbq beans, added a frozen burger as well, heated on high for a bit, added a boatlad of cheese and the burger, stirred it quite a bit, allowing it to sit on the burner which is now turned off. Will check the frozen burger and if need be will heat it a bit in the microwave.

The lunch was very good with all the beans and the meat patties. It did leave a mess in bottom of steel pot but did taste quite good, was filling as I used almost a whole can of beans. Did not mean to do this though.

Did get 1000 steps but am happy with that so far I think.
