My little Stricker is back for another snow visit. If I would already have two many cats I would keep this guy. Fortunately he is being adopted next weekend. The family already has one cat but they rescue requires all cats be spayed and neutered. Their current cat is being done this week so hopefully he will finally have a permanent home. He is such a sweety. He has been in a large cage at the store. He seems to have gotten chubby. Hopefully running around my with Tuna and Gizmo during the day will help him trim down before he leaves.

  • @brutersmom The calico tugs at my heart. She is lovely! Is she missing an eye or it just hides in the surrounding black fur?

    #kathrynw1thasea Aww so cute

The eye is just hiding. She is the best of the 3. I have been trying to hold her but not getting far. They have come along way. The orange one still hisses but can be petted. I think he will be heading back to the barn with a care taker.

I did have a break through with another kitten Amore. He will now let me pet him. His brother has been friendly for almost a month. They were little hissers when we got them.

The kitty in the picture above was my sweet boy Charcoal, lost him to kidney failure in 2014. The two in the next picture are my girls Princess and Grace. Princess is the black kitty, and Grace is the grey/brown Tabby.

Transporting rescue kittens and their mama's today. Here are some pictures of kittens 2 to 4 weeks old. The first two are a mama black cat and a Bentley. There are 2 with bangles coloring and one black kitten. Mama doesnt look like she is a year old yet. She will be spade as soon as these little ones are eating dry food and independent.

This little guy is also from a black Mama. They are tiny. This litter is 5 siblings all gray and black. They are 3 weeks at most. This mama looks very young as well. She is not super friendly but also not territorial with her babies.

Last post. This is my FishPond boy. FishPond is a private resturant. His name is Tuna. He just turned a year old. He has made himself comfortable here. I often find him laying like this in various places in the house.

I love the pictures. I am partial to Calico cats. Miss Felix was a Calico. She lived to 25.

I am partial to tabbies and black cats. I feel so bad for black cats as they are given the distinction they are evil incarnate. Not so of the two I've raised. Total sweeties!

  • @brutersmom you brought back a funny memory with the “fishpond” story. Well it’s funny if you aren’t the orange Tiger Oscar named “Fluffy”, but that’s a funny name for a fish regardless of his sense of humor.
I had a Maine Coon mix named Merlin. He loved to drink from the open slot in the back of the lid to the 40 gallon fish tank where Fluffy lived. Fluffy was the new occupant of the tank because my 6 year old 12” long Oscar named “FishFish” had passed. FishFish never minded the kitty tongue appearing in the water. In fact he loved interacting with Merlin and I swear he and my mom’s cat MissFit (a tortoiseshell) had a romance going.
Fluffy apparently wasn’t as laid back. One morning I woke up to find Fluffy on the floor next to the tank and Merlin nursing a sore tongue. He never sat on top of the tank or drank from it again.

Poor Fluffy? Seems his outcome was not good either.
