Found a lump in Arm Pit - Oppostte Breast Cancer Side.

Hello,

I have a history of breast cancer, and I found a new lump in my armpit on the opposite side from where I previously had breast cancer. I'm a bit freaked out! I don't have any lump in that breast or any signs of a recurrence. I've had a mamogram in November 10th with an all clear. I also had a bone scan in September. Plus a CT scan in July. All have been clear. Blood tests have been good as well. I think I'm just freaking out!!!!

Can understand your concern. Keep an eye on things and if still there may want to check with doc and be checked out by doc and let them decide if further scans need to be as well. I know my MO runs cancer labs as well when doing labs even my primary doc does now because of history . Best wishes and hoping it is a virus your body is trying to fight causing that to be upset swollen right now.

One or both of my armpits will sometimes become tender when I have an infection. It was a swollen lymph node in my armpit that led to me the doctor in high school where I learned that I had mononeucleosis. Even without a history of breast cancer, the symptom warrants a visit to the doctor. I hope all will be well.
