when I began anastrazole I had a fair amount of joint pain, only in my hips and knees. It gradually subsided over about 6 months. The biggest side effect I have had is the hot flashes. I have been on the med for about 18 months and still have ongoing hot flashes.

hello. I am really struggling with the anastrozole. I have bumps/rash on my chest, tingling on cheeks and fingers, nausea, insomnia, hot flashes and night sweats- that were much worse than before I was diagnosed and went through my lumpectomy and radiation. I have only been on Anastrozole for two weeks. Is this what I can expect for the next 5-10 years? Will Benadryl or something help with itching, rash and maybe even help me sleep? Would welcome any insight and guidance because I am willing to give this medication a try, but my oncologist said based on statistics it will help my better my chances of preventing recurrence by only another 3-5%. Not sure if feeling like this for 5-10 years is worth it
