Lets Post our Daily Exercise

I just got lots of exercise walking from one end of the Minneapolis airport to the other. Thank goodness I checked my bag! I will hopefully we walking in my front door about 6:00 tonight. A much better travel day than last Friday!
Eating out at any kind of restaurant is so expensive nowadays!

Wonder, it poured buckets on Thursday night. Had thunder right into midnight. Hopefully it put a dent in the fire danger, it was in the High category last week. Havent had a lot of rain since it stopped with snowing.

Southwest WI has had enough rain to take us out of fire danger. The lawn is growing like crazy and I need to wash dead bugs off car windshield from recent drives. That’s a sure sign of Spring!
Beautiful morning! Got out for a walk.

Two dogs walks, picked up branches in the yard, put out a little round table & two chairs on both the front & back deck & swept out the garage. It is supposed to rain tomorrow & Monday, which no one would complain about!

Going to try and get the table pedestal cleaned of all the dust from sitting in storage since moving across country. Have some laundry, dry mopping the stairs to the storage area upstairs and couple other things planned for today.

All my travels caught up with me. Instead of getting anything done this afternoon, I took a nap!

Good for you, Ruth!
Loved not having to get up and work today. Had coffee and a bit of breakfast then hit the gym.

Zumba, went to the funeral of our dear 101 year old friend, then to a meeting, then on a dog walk & now off to my Book Club. (I will probably need another naptomorrow!)

Got to the gym on Monday, but nothing since. Leave tomorrow for DC and a big business trip, then lots of walking in DC.

Ruth - 101? That’s impressive!
TT - be careful in DC! It’s not the safest city. Lots of politicians and other criminals. 😉
Job #2 is keeping me hopping. They have all kinds of projects for me to do. I will be very busy for the next few months. Got out for a quick walk at lunchtime, though. I can’t sit for hours on end (pun intended).

I haven't posted in a week so I'm catching up.
m0mmy: We finally had a little ran and expect more this Saturday. NC needs all the rain we can get.
Ruth: Sorry about your friend. 101 is impressive and I'm sure she was an inspiration to you. Glad you've been able to relax and get some exercise since returning home.
Badger: You are going to be so missed when you completely retire!
TT: Safe travels to DC!
On Saturday I attended a fundraising luncheon for our local medical ministries. A silent auction was part of the luncheon. One of the items I won is 2 cleaning professionals coming to my house for 2 hours of Spring Cleaning. Also won 5 hours of cleaning from another cleaning service. That one expires Sept. 2027 so I will spread the hours out as needed.
On Monday one of my cats had dental surgery. Her top canines were loose so they were removed along with another root tip. She's a 9 year old Pound Purr who was missing teeth when we adopted her 8 years ago. Now she only has half her teeth but she seems very happy bc her mouth doesn't hurt anymore. She was put under for the surgery and shaky when we got home. I have given her pain meds and she appears to be drunk. Not giving her anymore of that as she is fine. As a matter of fact she's peacefully sitting beside me right now.
Finally walked today and I felt strong. Little baby has been keeping me busy so I didn't walk the last 2 days.

I either had a bout of food poisoning or was just worn out yesterday. I spent the whole sleeping or in the bathroom. I feel fine today. Walked with the Wednesday Women & later with the dog.

Oh no Ruth! That sounds horrible. Glad you're feeling better today.
As always, great WWW picture.

Safely in my hotel room at end of first day in DC.
My room has a beautiful view of the nearly full moon (it looks full, but the calendar says tomorrow is the full moon) over the capitol.
just walking today for me (and 3.5 hours sitting in car driving) and for the rest of the week/weekend. Home on Sunday mid-day to do all the chores ahead of the week that comes!
DH came with me and we hope to go to a Washington Nationals game on Saturday evening after work ends…we haven't been to a game since before COVID — totally due to schedules of business trips to DC vs the B-Ball schedule…it's funny how these things work out. For years (like 20) we always got to a game or two each summer attached to our DC business trips. Then now, it has been 7 years since the schedules have aligned.
Glad you are feeling better Ruth and nice WWW pic.
Happy Friday to all…TT

TT - the Nats are my 2nd fave baseball team, after the Brewers of course. I was treated to a game by Natsfan and her hubby when I was in their area. Ruth or Wonderland, didn’t we all go to a game on our DC Sculpted Sisters trip?
Worked until 4 then hit the gym.

Yes, we went to the Nats game. Natsfan even had us recognized on the giant jumbo cam! It was HOT so hot. One of us took off her bra (was that you, Ruth?)
Little baby has a tongue tie and a lip tie which has made feeding difficult for him. Breastfeeding was not easy so he is bottle fed. He has learned how to use his cheek muscles to feed. His weight is fine and he empties his bottles so we know he's getting nutrition. But it was time to address his ties bc they can cause speech difficulties as he ages. His appointment to have the frenectomies with the pediatric dentist was this morning. She used a laser to release the tongue and lip frenulum. That's the little band of tissue under the tongue and upper lip. The dentist took little baby into the back room to work on him and was back in our waiting room in 4 minutes. That's how fast this surgery is! He's doing well and we can already tell that his feeding has greatly improved.
Added: I never knew tongue tie was a real medical condition. I thought it only occurred when I get my words all jumbled up! I now know of 2 other babies who had the surgery plus someone who had it as an adult. I know more about the frenulum than I ever thought I would 😃
Walked this afternoon.

Yes, it was me who stripped down at the game. I was never so hot in my whole life!! I did go to another Nationals game when I was in DC again a few years later & I froze at that one. TT, I hope the temperature falls somewhere in-between!
My grandnephew was tongue-tied too. Thank goodness, they have remedies for that now!

Yes, it is usually really hot at Nats games as my July business trip to DC frequently has aligned with the games. Tomorrow will be 55, so for me, sitting outside at 55 and dropping temps into the evening means I have a packable but down to my knees puffer coat. DH only has a hoodie as he thinks anything above 45 means a hoodie!
I have also recently learned about the frenulum as that is an area folks like to have pierced…as in decorative piercings…don't get me started on that topic😀
0 -
Yeah, I don’t get the fascination with piercings, either.
Never knew tongue tied was a medical condition. Live and learn.
Gym this morning. 45 mins treadmill = 150 calories burned which is how many calories are in two Lemonade GS cookies. Worth it!

badger…we are seeing the nats and the brewers!
1 -
Mat pilates and a trail walk with the dog. A nice day here with no wind!

12,000 steps around DC
The Brewers beat the Nats 4-1, go Badger!

A dog walk yesterday. I was bust all day, but worked out to some utube videos tonight.

Little baby has been doing well since his frenectomies. Thankful he had the procedures,
TT: The thought of piercing my frenulum sounds painful and ridiculous. I wanted to get a small heart tattoo when I was in college but I chickened out. Now I'm glad I did.
Visited DS and granddaughter this past weekend. She's 18 months and so lively and entertaining. I miss her already.
Walked yesterday and today.

I believe one of the female ice skaters at the olympics had that weird piercing…I have to look away.😝
Got to the gym Monday and today at lunch time.
We are now in finals, so thought things might get better for my schedule (at least until I have to grade finals), but so far this week…it has still been full on work.
We are going to get A LOT of rain starting this evening and all of tomorrow…we really need the rain, but not all on one day!
Happy mid-week everyone, TT

It is COLD here! I'm afraid my perennials peaking up will freeze. Yesterday we took a Dog Walk (and even though we were wearing winter coats, DH had a big woodtick on his back. Argh!!!Here's the Wednesday Walking Women. Our Snowbirds are back!
1 -
Badger your Brewers won on Saturday…is was cool at the ballpark, but fun.
1 -
The ballpark does look both cool and fun!
HIT, and a dog walk for me. I am soon to go back for Dance2fit.

TT: That's a fabulous picture of you and dh!
Ruth: My dh had a tick embedded in his back several years ago. I tried to remove it but knew I needed to stop bc it wasn't budging. We went to the ER where the doctor cut it out complete with a few stitches. Ticks scare me and I'm glad your dh found it.
Like TT, we had rain today. Much needed rain. DD and I brought little baby to his check up from his frenectomies. All looks good and DD is to continue the stretching exercises.
No exercise today.
