Thanks for the comments on the photo…I'm terrible at "selfies" don't do them enough!

I got to the gym Thursday evening and today, Friday, at lunch time…that makes 4 times this week.

Happy Mother's Day weekend to all, TT

TT we watched the Brewers - Nats game on Saturday. I wondered if you were there. Nice pic!

I freakin’ hate ticks. Sneaky little things. Not a fan of mosquitoes either but at least they announce their presence with a whine.

We’ve had a stretch of beautiful weather. Gym Monday but walks the rest of the week. Soon it will be too hot & humid for my taste.

It was nice here today, but really windy. Mat Pilates and 2 dog walks.

Happy Mothers Day to all mothers of humans & pets, all aunties, and all friends & mentors to young people!

Gym at lunchtime today. The current gym schedule has a class a like to take 6 of the 7 days of the week…looking at the schedule for July forward…there are just 3 of my regular classes listed, yikes! Hope they sort out the personnel issues that are making classes I have taken for years drop off the schedule.

After a beautiful mother's day, we have retreated to a rainy and cold spring day - need the rain, so will try not to complain😎

We need rain badly too. I watered two hours between Zumba and HIT.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Friday I had a physical with my doctor. He asked me what I've been doing and I told him that dh and I are taking care of little baby during the week. He said, "So you're a new mom." I haven't thought of it like that but he's right! I had a good checkup. Lab results are back and all is good.

Saturday I went to the farmers market early bc I wanted fresh strawberries before they sold out. They were delicious. Earlier in the week I uncovered the garden boxes to let the soil breathe before planting the garden. We buy plants so I planted them on Saturday. Doing it a bit late this year so curious how it will turn out.

Yesterday I invited my side of the family to a party to meet little baby. My sisters have met him but not my brother and sil. Always good to get together for a family reunion and little baby was the spotlight of the party.

Edited to add: I walked this evening.

Dh stayed with little baby this afternoon so I could go to the true crime club hosted by our library. It's held at a bar so you can eat and drink if you want to. Afterwards I played Mahjong with my friend.

    Walked this evening.

You all look happy but cold.

Got to Tai Chi at lunchtime. We have a fantastic new instructor…hope she stays. After 5 years with the old instructor I think we got a little sloppy. She's making us work for it!

    Happy Wednesday, TT

Farmers Market on Saturday. Got spinach, radishes, asparagus, sourdough bread, and some beautiful ice blue daisies. Weeded and got them in the ground then picked rhubarb.

Had our usual Sunday visit with MIL. Cooked chicken dinner and rhubarb crisp for dessert. Went to the greenhouse Monday then spent two hours weeding & planting. We had rain Tuesday so it was good timing but I was achy so took a rest day. Nice out yesterday & today so walked for exercise.

Worked until 3 then started laundry and pre-packing for a family wedding this weekend. We leave tomorrow morning and I prefer to have everything laid out the night before.

Ruth: Nice WWW pictures. Looks like ND is just beginning to see a little green on the trees.

Badger: The daisies are so pretty. I bought some marigolds and petunias to plant in the garden and also pots located at the front of the house. Can't remember if I mentioned there is a volunteer pumpkin plant growing near the front door - I left a fall pumpkin there to let it rot hoping it would reseed.

TT: Hope your new Tai Chi teacher stays. She sounds amazing.

I met with my friend on Friday morning to walk. We used to walk almost every week or 2 but for all sorts of reasons we had to stop. It was great seeing her again and catching up.

Yesterday I went to a ceremony for Girl Scouts who have earned there Bronze Award (elementary school age), Silver Award (middle school age) and Gold Award (high school age). I really enjoy being on the Gold Award Committee for our Council and am always in awe of their passion, dedication and hard work.

My hip has been hurting so I've been icing it. It's helping but no walking for me yesterday or today. Tomorrow my dd is taking off from work so she, little baby, dh, and I are going to visit ds and gd for the day. Looking forward to it!

Graduation has happened…and now the 90 degree days begin! Seriously, we are low 90's for the next 3 days…then rain for a week which we need.

Got to the gym last night and will go today at lunch.

While we graduated this past weekend, this is actually a busy week at school with close out and grades for all those who didn't graduate due later this week.

My mom's 91 b'day is Friday and then we leave for Vancouver on Saturday…a busy week ahead.

No gym yesterday or today, I picked up a cough (probably overtalked at graduation) and don't think it fair to my gym friends to be coughing all through class…hope to shake it before the weekend and our travels. I don't feel unwell, just have an irritated throat.

Despite not going to the gym, I have been running around, well walking as I don't run😀, with lot of chores and errands ahead of the trip and this Friday being mom's 91st b'day🎉

Happy mid-week everyone…another day in the 90s here. TT

Had great time at wedding. DH has a large family tree so lots of cousins. I will never remember them all LOL.

Getting back in the morning walk habit. Put on the coffee then walk around the block so brew is ready when I get back. It’s been chilly here then warming up nicely but soon it will be too hot to enjoy being outdoors in the afternoon.

Had pre-surgery physical (ahead of cataract surgery) and all is well. Left eye 6/1 and right eye 6/15. They won’t put me all the way to sleep but wanted to make sure I am healthy enough. I think they will say no gym in June.

Badger, good luck on the surgery. My mom needs that surgery too but the situation has turned into a huge mess it is taking my stepdad, younger brother and I to get straightened out. Trying to keep the stress off my mom over it. Things are slowly improving but it should have never gotten this far.

Anywho, been puttering around doing housework.

Everyone I know who has had cataract surgery has been very happy with the results, Badger! I have the beginnings of cataracts, but they aren't 'ripe' yet!

Yesterday, I went to HIT & Dance2fit. This morning was Mat Pilates. It is raining like crazy; which we need, but I am supposed to go to a birthday party tonight, and I just want to stay home and read!

No exercise, but today was mom's 91st b'day…had a little lunch party with mom and my DS. I have a good picture, but my new computer isn't cooperating…

We also got sad news today DH's 12 year older sister died this morning, 77. She had MS and was declining, but we had no clue of her state…we were actually discussing going for a visit. Hug the ones you love! TT

Happy Birthday to your mom, TT! So sorry about your SIL.

TT: So sorry about your dh's sister. What a shock for you. And yes, hug the ones you love. Happy Birthday to your dear mother. 91 years is definitely worth celebrating. Have a wonderful trip!

Badger: dh had cataract surgeries on both eyes last year. All went well and he is very happy with the results.

    Ruth: Another great WWW pictures!

m0mmy: Hope your family situation can be straightened soon. Your mother will be able to see so much better with the cataracts removed.

We also had a few days of temperatures in the 90s. Ugh. But now it's raining and it's supposed to rain on and off for days. NC is in a drought and we need every drop of it.

Last month I attended a fundraising luncheon for our local medical ministries. Lots of silent auction items were offered for bidding. I won a Spring Cleaning certificate. Yesterday 2 cleaning ladies cleaned my house. I apologized for all the dust lol. I had cleaning services while I was in chemo bc I knew I didn't want my family to worry about it. I may decide to sign with the ladies and have them come to my house once a month. Dusting is such a pain for me and it will be worth it.

I'm still nursing my sore hip. It's gotten much better but I don't want to go back to fast walking too soon. May walk around the house tomorrow during the rain.

Wonder, from thr conversation i had with my mom last night, it looks like its still going to take some time to get it straightened out.

Wonderland, I am jealous of your cleaning ladies! I also had a cleaning lady during chemo & kept her until I retired {she actually retired the same time as I did, otherwise I would have kept her longer!). My NC is doing a rain dance, hoping for a significant amount of rain! We had another rainy day yesterday, it is supposed to clear up today & the temperature is to rise about 30 DEGREES by tomorrow. Crazy!! We will Dog Walk today & maybe I will go flower shopping! Tomorrow, we will meet up with our friends who are back from their winter in Arizona & go to a semi-pro baseball game.
