Letrozole vs Exemestane

has anyone switched from exemestane and noticed relief from some of the side effects of letrozole?

    Hi @siggy66 ,
Many members here have shared that switching from letrozole to exemestane can lead to some relief from side effects—especially joint pain and stiffness—though experiences do vary.

For some, symptoms improve noticeably, while others find the side effects are similar between the two medications. Because each person responds differently, it can be a bit of trial and error.

If side effects are impacting your quality of life, it may be worth discussing a possible switch with your care team.

Hope others will chime in with their experiences 💛

I am considering the same switch. I have tried Anastrozole and Letrozole and had terrible side effects. After a discussion with my care team, they advised that I could be experiencing similar (awful) side effects because they are like "sister" medications, but exemestane is more like a "cousin" so the side effects may be different.
