TT sorry to hear about your SIL. Hug the ones you love, indeed.
Thanks for the encouragement about cataract surgery. I’m not worried. Lots of ppl have had it done including my mom. Could be hereditary, could be tamoxifen. My eye doc has been watching them for a while and now is the time.
Walked to the Farmer’s Market this morning. Approx 2 miles round trip. Nice cool morning. Picked up a few things but not too much since I didn’t want to lug heavy bags home. The neighborhood rabbits ate the flowers off those pretty ice blue daisies, the little stinkers! Oh well, they may come back. Meanwhile, the lupines are going great guns.

Got down to my property yesterday and got the lilac bush planted. I want to get one more and plant it on the property and start a flowerbed towards the entrance of the property.

Lilacs are one of my faves. So fragrant, so fleeting.
Got out for a walk yesterday morning then reorganized the pantry & watched Brewers baseball game.

I just planted a little lilac tree last fall & am getting some flowers!
I planted flowers & did yardwork all Monday & some yesterday, so my back is killing me! I also went to LIFT & Zumba yesterday .
Is anyone else having problems with this website? When I log in, it doesn't show if there are any new posts on my favorite sites ^ when I click to see, it takes me to some random page on the thread, not to the last post. I am getting annoyed!
Off to walk!

Beautiful flowers, Badger.
Beautiful lilac, Ruth. M0mmy, you will enjoy yours once it starts to bloom.
Fun picture of the WWW.
Hope TT is having a great time on her trip.
We have been having rain, rain, and more rain. Much needed rain. BUT certain areas in our mountains that were devastated during Hurricane Helene are once again flooding due to all the rain. There have been no deaths which is wonderful but lots of roads are now impassable. It's bad.
I haven't been walking due to the rain. Plus I developed a terrible sinus infection. For a week I thought I could self cure it but realized that wasn't going to happen. Went to doctor yesterday and was given an antibiotic and steroid. Feeling better already.
Ruth: I also had trouble on the site today. Didn't start at my last post - it just jumped in another area.

Glad you went to the doctor, Wonderland!

Wonder, I can't wait. I miss the one I had planted in Connecticut at the house we sold. Found out recently that the new owners took it out. Made me very sad. Anywho, got a little bit more housework to do today and things are wrapped up.

Got up early & watered yesterday, went to HITT & cooked! DS, DIL & the grandpuppies were coming over to celebrate his birthday; so I bought extra groceries & made a meal for both our sets of friends whose wives are seriously ill (mt kitchen is now closed for awhile). We had fun with the kids who stayed until about 9:00.
Im going to mat pilates this morning & will need a walk sometime today.

Had a little bit of extra exercise yesterday. Ran an errand which added to my steps yesterday. By the time i got done with everything yesterday, my left leg and hip were screaming, so today is my off day

I was having same problems with BCO fave pages but it seems to be resolved today.
It’s been dry here so we’re watering the new plantings. No rain for the next week or so.
Hit the farmers market this morning for veggies & fresh sourdough bread, then came home and cleaned house ahead of cataract surgery Monday. I figure no bending or heavy lifting for a while so dusted & vacuumed, washed sheets & towels, and scrubbed kitchen & bathrooms. Phew! Other than pulling out a few button-up shirts, is there any other prep I should do?

I think you have it covered, badger!
Dog walks & a short toning Utube video.

Badger: Good luck tomorrow!
I'm still nursing my sinus infection. It wants to linger so I'm taking it easy.
Tomorrow I'm going to a sleepover with 7 friends I grew up with. I've known a couple of the ladies since we were 4 years old. We have been meeting for 35 years or so. Lots of laughing, eating, and catching up with each other. We have a blast!

Rest & heal, Wonderland!
Thanks for the well wishes! Did some weeding when we got back from MIL’s this afternoon. Maybe TMI but just shaved my legs and cut my toenails. Figured I’d better do it now since I’m not supposed to bend over for a month.
Hospital arrive time is noon. No food after midnight, but am allowed clear liquids up to 10am meaning I can have black coffee in the morning. ☕️ 😊

I've been busy in my yard this week....anyway, here's yesterday's Wednesday Walking Women picture. There's a big charity walk/run this weekend called The Running of the Pink. It raises money to pay for 3D mammograms & cervical cancer screenings for women who can't otherwise afford them. So we're wearing pink in support of that event. We split up for our walk, so here we are at breakfast.
A hard weight lifting class this morning, a dog walk & Dance2fit tonight.

Badger: Let us know how your surgery went and if you can tell a difference with your sight.
Ruth: That's awesome that your community has continued walks for women's health. I used to be on the local Komen grant committee where we reviewed agencies who applied for funds collected during walks, golf tournaments, etc. There are so few events like that now and it's good to know that yours is still going strong.
I had a blast with my girlfriends during our sleepover. So much laughter. It's amazing what friendship and do for your soul.
I'm still trying to get over whatever got a hold of me. Slowly I'm healing and the congestion has gotten better. I've been a couch potato and need to get my butt moving!!!
This is a picture of my volunteer pumpkin plant that is growing by the front door. I painted the pumpkin last fall and left it outside hoping it would produce a pumpkin plant this summer. It's been successful and so far there are at least 3 small pumpkins growing. Hope they continue to grow into nice size pumpkins.

Awwww…..your pumpkin had babies!
Being with old friends is the best. A friend of mine of of 50 plus years, whom I hardly ever get to see, was in town for a conference yesterday & skipped one of her meetings so we could hang out for awhile. It was so much fun. We talked a mile a minute to whole time.

Mat pilates and a dog walk. It's a beautiful day here, although we were hoping for some rain!

Unfortunately, cataract surgery did not go as planned Monday. There was a rare but serious complication called posterior capsule rupture. It’s a tear in the back of the capsule that holds the lens. My eye surgeon was able to remove the cloudy lens and replace it with the artificial one but I had to see a retina specialist Tues and have an additional surgery Weds. I am not seeing well from left eye but they say that will improve. Recovery time is 2-3 months instead of 2-3 weeks. Needless to say, I canceled the right eye surgery. Those of you who pray, please keep me in your prayers!

Oh no, Badger! I'm so sorry. I will keep you in my prayers, as I keep all my friends in my prayers. But I will pray an extra prayer that your eye has complete and full recovery. Don't blame you for cancelling your right eye surgery. Sending you a soft HUG. ❤️

Oh gosh, Badger, I am so sorry about the complication in your cataract surgery. I'm glad they can repair the damage, but sad about the additional recovery time. Very scary AND frustrating both. Hang in there! 🙏

Here's me with some of my friends at the Running of the Pink this morning & a picture of the runners/walkers as far as the eye can see. It always brings a tear to my eye. I was still in treatment when they did the first Running of the Pink 19 years ago.

Oh no Badger! You are in my prayers!
Hubby and I took our dog to the state park up the road from us for a walk today. It was free admission today, might go again tomorrow as its free admission again.

Zumba & Dance2fit today. We are in the bullseye for strong storms tomorrow evening; so I am starting to get nervous about that!
