Announcing our NEW Community Book Club!
We're excited to introduce the Breastcancer.org Community Book Club, a new opportunity to connect through stories, shared experiences, and thoughtful conversation. Bookmark this thread now to be sure to follow along as we update for our book selection announcements, scheduled discussions, and posts as we read along together and discuss in the thread. We hope you enjoy this new opportunity to connect with themes we can all relate to!
You can also suggest ideas for future Book Club selections in the thread below, or by sending us a PM.
📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
Our first selection is Between Two Kingdoms: A Memoir of a Life Interrupted, by Suleika Jaouad.
There will be 2 sessions - we'd love if you could make it to both, but if only one works, that's okay too. Each session will be about an hour long and our host, Carolyn ( @ctlovesdogs ) will be facilitating!
First session: Thursday, September 24, 2026, 7pm ET. Register here.
Second session: Thursday, October 8, 2026, 7pm ET. Register here.
Why this book?
We chose Between Two Kingdoms because it explores experiences that connect so many of us: navigating uncertainty, redefining identity, finding hope, and discovering what it means to move forward after life has changed.
While every breast cancer experience is different, including living with metastatic breast cancer, we hope the book's themes of resilience, relationships, and finding meaning will spark thoughtful conversation and connection across our community.
📖 Now is a great time to get your copy and start reading.

@jellybeans12 welcome! So glad you're interested!
First, start by grabbing a copy of the book at your favorite bookstore, reading app, audio version, or from your local or online library. Check back in here as you're reading to share any thoughts or points you'd like to discuss. Once we have the meeting day/time set, we'll alert the thread here with a link to register for the meeting and we'll all gather that day to discuss on Zoom!
We look forward to discussing with you!

Hooray! I just put a hold on the book in my Libby. First in line, maybe two weeks. Don’t know anything about the book, but anything with a yellow VW Bus has fabulous potential 💛 Looking forward to this new group 💗

Hello Fellow Readers!
Another cheap way to get the book is through DealOz.com, a web site that aggregates various book vendors and lists them least to most expensive. This is how I got my copy. I just searched for our title and found copies for about $5.00 including shipping and handling. Here's the link. Looking forward to sharing thoughts and insights.

Good morning, all! I finally got my copy of the book from the library. Am looking forward to reading it.
I was wondering if a date has been set for the Book Club Zoom meeting yet? I know sometime in September was mentioned.
Can’t wait to share thoughts and insights on the book.

Hi Pam! We're getting close to announcing the date - we'll post here as soon as we have it! Should know by Monday, but will be near the end of Sept.
Thanks!
