Today I dod a thing. Miss marbles started peeing outside the litter box when we started getting foster kittens. They like to invade her space. She became very unhappy and started marking. Xeays and test were negative. Anxiety meds did not help. I ended up isolating her in my sewing room and she has been fine since. I hate not being able to leave the door open and keeping her in a stuffy room. I am hoping this works. She will also be able to visit with other cats when the come around but her space remains hers.

I had the same thing happen with one of my cats. He would have liked to be the only one. He sprayed the walls. He would get in the box, but peed outside the box. He finally he to go live with my mom and he did the same for a while. He eventually became a good cat again.

This group has been quite lately. Yesterday we noticed that my older guy Rocky was limping on his left leg and in obvious pain. Seemed to come out of no where. I had a late appointment for my fulvestrant shot so I was not able to get him into the regular vet. As a result, I spent all evening until 12:00 midnight at the urgent care vet. Turns out that the left leg injury was the result of a more serious issue with his right hip. There is serious deterioration to the femoral head on the right side. There is actually very little supporting bone remaining. The only treatment is FHO Surgery. He already has deterioration of the muscles. I found this boy 5 years ago. We have always believed he had been abused by previous owners based on behaviors we observed. The vet says the seriousness of the damage is the result of numerous breaks over the years in the back hip area. His age has been estimate to be between 14 to 16 years. This is based on the history that came with his chip information when I found him. No one claimed him so I kept him. He has no teeth left but it doesn't stop him from eating. Before he can have surgery he needs to loose some weight. With 4 other cats in the house that is going to be a challenge. I hate when my fur babys get sick an I have to make these kind of decisions.

It stinks when our furbabies are hurt or sick
