Just Diagnosed
Hi everyone. I find myself in this club that no one wants to belong to.
I was diagnosed with TNBC-my tumor measures 5 mm but we will see for sure. I’m getting a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy and we will go from there. Still waiting on my BRCA results.
I’m still reeling from the news. I’m 47 years old and I have young kids. I know I’m “lucky” to have caught it so early and my surgeon seems confident that this will be a small chapter in my life, but everything I read about TNBC has me absolutely terrified.
I just wanted to introduce myself. Anyone encouragement welcome! Thank you.

@jenmarie279 Sorry you joined the TNBC club but don't believe everything Dr google says! I have been dealing with TNBC off and on for 10 years now. Even though I have had progression the past couple of years there are so many positive treatments now for TNBC. TNBC has a good reputation for responding well to treatment so remain positive, How are things going?

@cookie54 thank you for your kind comment! I did sort of update in a separate post-lumpectomy went well and my pathology was as good as it could be given the circumstances. Stage T1aN0. Oncologist said no chemo, which kind of scares me. I’m seeking a second opinion just in case.
I hope you are well!
