HRT
what are those of you doing that are not taking HRT for menopause symptoms? My docs are not on board with any form of HRT. And for reference, I was 37 years of age when Dx’d with hormone negative DCIS. Now I am 47.. and I feel like I’m going through the throes of menopause, especially mood swings and severe anxiety… so I know I need to help myself with SOMETHING to manage these symptoms. Help me!

Curious if you have access to a certified menopause specialist through your health system. They are up on the latest options and often work well with oncology since the cases are so complex.
You might find this resource helpful. It says gyn cancer but they do discuss both breast and gyn.
Menopause care is so personalized! I had TNBC x2 and was recently told I could trial a low dose of HRT, but haven't pursued it. Best of luck as you figure out what works for you.

thank you for your response, kks. I will look into it. Such conflicting information, from one medical specialist to another. Best of luck to you. Have you made a decision as of yet?

Hey @rrobin0200, we’re sorry you’re dealing with such difficult menopause symptoms.
You may find this Breastcancer.org article helpful: Menopause and Mood Changes. It discusses why menopause can affect mood and some options for managing these symptoms.
Hope this helps!

Happy to help @rrobin0200 ! In short, no decision yet. I've got a few other irons in the fire, medically, and have been back-burnering it. I am taking vaginal estrogen though.
