my story.. DCIS, mastectomy direct to implant 8-27-26. Necrosis treated with Silvadene dressings. wound opened up, you could see implant. 9-26 implant removed. Deflated expander placed, necrosis cleaned up. I'm now 10 days out from that surgery. Hopefully no necrosis. Can't tell under steri strips. Hoping this heals well…

I did get an appointment cancellation and had stereotactic biopsy yesterday on September 2nd. Today I received the news that I have DCIS grade 2 triple positive. I am getting a referral to a great oncology surgeon and thinking about having a mastectomy. Any thoughts on that route?
