TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS
Comments

NS: Im wondering which kerfunkle your talking about. The most recent one when that person came on with the poorest southern accent I ever heard or the one in the very begining. Just about this time last year. Both of those incidents really hurt my feelings because I was very good friends with Hic UP! And bwahahahahahahaha. So in this respect, I fully agree that I wouldnt want anyone to come here and pretend to be what or who they are not.
So I just want to tell everyone a little about me. I am a caring person, naive at times. Im a good nurse too. I want to help as many people as I can in a special way. Touch their hearts shall we say.
There was a time, many moons ago, that we would'nt talk about this stuff in the wagon circle. Its a safe place. That is the only reason that I think when we are having questions, we should pm each other.
I just want to say one more thing before I get back to my normal self. I really, really dont like it when someone quotes another here in the wagon circle. Whenever I get quoted it automatically puts me in a defensive mode. Gee whiz, I felt in the defensive mode and there were no quotes about me.
I just feel - what if its all wrong? I dont want new people to be afraid to come to the wagon circle. I enjoy my old friends and making new friends everyday.
Nicki - who is on her 3rd glass of wine.0 -
Robin: Ive been depressed and my husband told me something that is really sticking in my mind. He told me "your making your own bad Karma." I know lots of stuff is hitting the fan - but Im hoping you look for the things that will bring good Karma to you.
Nicki0 -
I forgot to tell you all the most important thing. Got a call today from the Assisted Living Facility I sent my resume to. Have an interview at 3:00Pm Wednesday.
Nicki0 -
Nicki:good luck with the interview.
Pm me and tell me what happened i dont know about.Did someone come on here and pretent to have ca? I cant imagine someone doing that. But i dont know if you heard there was a onc here in crossville how was telling people they had ca and didnt just to give them chemo then she was giving the ones that had ca only half doses of chemo.can you imagine.I think her nurse turned her in.She is in prision now and will be for a long time lost her license, has to pay like 2 something mil out.She was from the Philipines, wonder the EVIL wasnt after her to.
I know about karma and boy have i made some bad,but am doing a little better,I just have to smile when I think about all the bad karma that he evil will have on his side.
I agree with you,I am a good nurse,a good employee,a good mother and grandmother, and was a good wife for that part.
Just trying to survive, get back to normal, the new normal, the old me is dead and will never come back but I want to work on being the best new me i can be.I want to put the last 3 years behind me and seek a newer improved life.I am not going to back town until I get what i want either. We olders nurses are a dying breed.I am sure you know what I mean.
Take care all gonna go drink me some wine and watch a little tv.
Oh i almost forgot you havent heard a southern accent until you hear me.Just ask Beth and susan.BTW where is Beth???0 -
Cheri so generous of you to offer your place for PinkStock 08. Count me in. Let me know how I can help you.
Nicki How was your appointment today? Did you come out looking absolutely gorgeous? I lucked out the surveyors were a no show. What a relief. Good luck with your interview on Wednesday.
Marsha - It sure was fun partying with you. I know you were feeling down so glad I could bring a smile to your face, even if for a few minutes. I look forward to partying with you again.
Margaret I can understand your thought process but my onc told me not to measure the effectiveness of the treatments with the SE cause everyone reacts differently to treatment. I think the scary thing about all these treatments is that there are no guarantees and its all a wait and see game.
Brenda I sure hope you get some rain. It was bad here in May and June. We had several fires too and water restrictions are still in effect. However, July and now August have been very wet. We are getting tired of the afternoon rain. I wish we could send some your way. Stay safe.
Gina I agree with you. Lets move forward. I hope you are feeling better today. It sadness me to hear all you are going through. How was your onc appointment?
Vickie love the doll. Sherry used to post in the Inspirational section in the Things that make me feel good thread. I still see her posts and they bring a smile to my face. I sure hope she comes back.
Shokk chica your posts always make me smile. You are a riot!
Karen Ive been contemplating an ooph since last year but am afraid to go under anesthesia again. However, I am getting a little tired of the Zoladex shots; not sure how much longer I can take. My belly is starting look like a pin cushion. If you had to do it over would you undergo an ooph again? Are you having any SE from the ooph? How are the hot flashes?
Amy those puppies are adorable. I wish I could see them up close. I absolutely love dogs. Sounds like Peanut is a very good mommy.
Cheri glad to hear you were able to sleep well last night. I still cant get over the fact your doc took the screw out in his office. Yikes .
Naniam - how is the bra coming along? Hahahaha
Okay, ladies, curious me wants to know, what is the story with crazy Bob and Casino girl? Who are they? Did I miss something? O,r is it a private joke?

Good Luck Wednesday Nicki!!!
Hey, you are all those things you wrote and more. You are a very special person and a true treasure.
Here is my take on the whole thing-
I don't like these conversations happening in the circle either. But this is different.
First, let me state that I like the person we are discussing and I think she should just post as herself.
But the problem is, the person is not who she said she was, who we believed was someone else and was an active poster and was making friends within the circle. The Wagon Circle is not a place for someone to play a game like that. If not realized soon enough, it could divide and cause trouble from within. My biggest worry is girls who are open hearted and giving and trusting being hurt. Those are the only kind of girls we have here- so it is not a nice thing to have happen.
We want to keep our happy home as it is... we want to be able to celebrate our ONE YEAR (!)
anniversary in a couple of weeks with nothing but joy and unity.
We can't do that if there is a cloud.
I am not angry with anyone nor am I trying to drum anyone out- but I am asking, respectfully, that people be true. And it is never too late to have a fresh start. We don't care! Just be HONEST. And then we will move along like always.
This is too special a place with too many angels to have anything happen to it. We need to look out for each other and the circle.
So if anyone is not being who they say they are and you want to stay and be a part of this wonderful group of women, just BE YOURSELF. We can move on then.
It has become fairly obvious as more people have been posting on the subject, so let's all play nice and treat each other with the same respect that we want to be treated with.
I think we can all get by this without so much as a shiver because we are a very loving group of women.
Now if I was being more of a new yorker about it I would probably write CUT THE CRAP AND GET WITH THE PROGRAM!
BUT, since I was told by the Pinkstockers that I have a "southern accent" I am being more genteel!
But back to you Nicki, you are a loving and loyal and compassionate friend. I don't want you to get upset or be hurt- it is my natural instinct to be overly protective of my sisters, and I see other girls here over the past few days have drawn the same conclusion and have the same goal: protect loved ones from being hurt.
Love ya kiddo,
g0 -
Got a lot of reading to do........just got back late afternoon!
Odalys, all I can say is .........to know "crazy Bob is to Love crazy Bob!" Sure hope someone got a pic of him in the Glenda dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs,
Denise0 -
Crazy Bob! Yup...to know him is to love him (I think....)

0 -
Crazy Bob wore the Glenda dress? How on earth did I miss that? MB - I apologize for my dh egging on Crazy Bob the way he did - but boy he sure Bob to build us a BIG fire LOL.
So sorry to hear we had someone here who turned out to be not what she claimed to be. That happens quite a bit in the chat room too. I don't get angry about it though - I think anyone who comes to the bc forum or bc chat room and turns out to be a fraudster needs our prayers and pity more than anything else. Such people really need help - what a miserable life they must lead to have to resort to such deception to get their kicks.
It will probably take me a while to get to know you all. So please bear with me LOL.
Hugs and chocolate kisses
Elaine0 -
I missed Bob in the dress too! Thank goodness it was captured on film!
I don't know quite how to explain Bob except to say that he really likes BIG fires. While most people use smaller pieces of wood to build a campfire, Bob burns whole trees. The campfire he built basically melted my contacts onto my eyes!0 -
Elaine - welcome to the group. Glad to meet another FL sister. Where in FL are you from?
0 -
Gina, I gotta say, I sleep better at night knowing you have my back. Loyalty and protecting friends are two of my favorite traits in a person.
Elaine, nice to meet you, I think we have chatted before with the morning coffee gals. Sounds like you had great fun at Pinkstock!0 -
Odalys - Thanks for the welcome. I live not far from Clearwater Beach. Odalys, I often meet up with some of the FL gals in the chat room. We are hoping to have a big FL meeting sometime down the road. Will keep you posted.
Marsha - We really need to get together some time. We have chatted a couple of times in the chat room and I have heard a lot of good things about you from CatinFL - whom I have met up with several times. I hear you gals really shook up your Bosom Buddies group LOL. Haven't heard from Cat in a while though - guess she is busy busy busy. If you see her, please give her a hug from me.
Hugs and chocolate xxxx

Welcome to the circle, Elaine! Don't worry if you can't keep up. Some days I just start with the current page and go from there.

Gina...thanks for the award LOL. Do I hear something about a puppy in the works? awww...puppy breath is so sweet. Ned would be a perfect name. I read your last post and can only say that I agree.
Peter...good morning mate. I didn't know you could find old posts that way...my mistake. Hope you have a grand day.
Cheri berry...time for bed...gotta have you up in the morning so we can chat LOL.
Shokk...I sure missed you and your funny posts. I love how you make me laugh.

Marsha sweetie...we all have your back...we all have each others backs. Just like a true family. (actually better).
Choca...It was so grand to meet you and I'm glad you came into the circle. It's a great place to be and it looks like we have an anniversary coming up!

Good evening CG's
It is a rainy day in Denver. We do need the moisture - plus it wasn't as hot (nice change). Ran errands with my girls. Actually took Leah bra shopping (not either of ours favorite past time). Her bras were just not doing the job anymore. I bought her two Wacoal bras - very nice, but pricey (but they donate to Susan G. Komen for every purchase). She is so petite, but SOOOO very buxomy!!! I don't know where it came from. There was never confusing her bras with mine when I had boobs. Poor girls is a 34DD and she is not even 5 feet tall!!
Choca - a warm welcome to you. Glad that you got to meet so many of the girls at Pinkstock.
Nicki - good luck with the interview on Wednesday. You are right - you are so very understanding, caring, kind and gentle person. And I am sure you are one heck of a nurse. Sending you a great big hug from denver
Gina - OMG -m what is going on with your poor body!!! I sure hope that the shots, oj etc help get you back on your feet. Enough already. As I have said before, you are one of the strongest people I know.
Odalys - yes, I would make the same choice about the ooph all over again. It was done laproscopically and the recovery was not all that bad. Feel free to PM me if you want.
Amy - congrats on the 3 new puppies. They are so tiny!!!
It seems like the boards have been fairly quiet today. Haven't seen some of our sisters posting. I do hope all is well with everyone. Thank you to MB and all the gals at Pinkstock for your pictures and updates. It made it feel like I was there. You are all wonderful. Sending a great big hug from Denver to everyone from A to Z. Sweet dreams. Karen0 -

Hi Ladies and Peter,
I have been lurking here about 6 months reading your posts. I felt as if I would be intruding, so never did come in. I have read all about your Pinkstock event and it sounded wonderful. I think maybe more people will go next year after reading all the great posts.
Just wanted to say Hi and tell you all how wonderful you are (I can tell this by reading your posts) and how welcome you make newbies feel.
Thanks,
Melody0 -
Welcome to the circle Melody!
Sheri -- I saw your pm! Unfortunately I was snoozing on the sofa again.
Its back to work tomorrow.
Darn! 0 -
I've just begun to read........and will never catch up!
Cheri: That was ME on the phone when you thought it was MENA!! I wasn't joking with ya...........I always call you Mon Cheri!!!! The phone was breaking up and I had all but lost my voice................thought I managed to squeak my name out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BBL (like tomorrow!)
Hugs,
Denise0 -
Denise -- big hugs! Thanks for clearing that up and I'm sure Cheri will be relieved. It was so wonderful meeting you and your hubby this past weekend. I will email you the websites for the crotchet tomorrow.

Jankay, I'm sorry there isn't someone readily available to take you to the dr. If I were closer, I would take you. I just read Robin said she would take you. How cool that you'll get to meet.
G, you are amazing. You have been feeling like cr*p and you have your sense of humor about you. I keep telling you how oblivious I am - never even thought to check the registered users list.
Nicki, I have really light eyebrows. If it wasn't for brow powder, you wouldn't be able to see them. I went to Ulta and bought a brow kit and it has stencils in it, which I never use, but some brow powders and a brow wax. It's a big production because I have to use a pencil first and then use the powder. Thank goodness I didn't loose them during chemo or I wouldn't have an outline to follow. Good Karma for Wednesday's interview.
Odalys, thanks for encouraging me. I know that everyone reacts differently to chemo and hormone therapy and I should trust that it is working.
Brenda, wish I could send some of this gray your way - it's definitely a lot cooler than the last week has been.
Karen, I heard you made some awesome cookies - I want recipes!
Vickie, beautiful doll.
I think Bob looks mighty cute in the Glenda dress. So who claims Bob?
Choca, glad to see you made it over here. I posted to you on the other wagon thread.
Hi Melody, welcome. Glad you decided to post. Hope you stay for awhile, you'll like us.
Now Denise, you know you can't go back and read, if you miss a day there are always too many posts to read.
Sitting here with the Giants game on waiting to see if Barry Bonds is going to bteak the record. Night all Amy to Z.
Margaret
Cheri, maybe I can make it to Pinkstock next year. My dad is buried in a small town in Arkansas and since I never had the chance to say goodbye, it would be nice to go.
You ladies in the south and the east are having hot weather and we're having unseasonably cool weather....go figure.0 -
Evening everyone. I just arrived at my cousin's after a very long day of flying and late planes.
I haven't read anything but will do so when I get home tomorrow.
Hugs0 -
Good Evening Girls,
Just popping in to say how much I have enjoyed reading all the Pinkstock posts the past few days. What a wonderful bunch we have here. I can feel the love all the way down here at the bottom of Florida.
What cute puppies, Amy!!!
Nicki, good luck with the interview.
Karen, I am so glad you went and had a good time and are enjoying some time wiht your girls.
Gina, I pray you are on the upswing now. You so deserve to be done with all the problems. I admire your spirit so much.
Vickie, it was so sweet to read all your posts, especially about your birthday party. Here is a birthday hug from me.
I feel so close to you guys, and at the same time I am not able to post much. I am here every sngle day reading, but I am not much of a talker. I am actually a bit shy, so I tend to read but not post. I just want you all to know you mean so much to me, and I know if I need you, you will be here for me, just like you were when I had my mastectomy.
I did have a big disappointment today. Jeff built a critter habitat under our dock. We had about 5 lobster and all sorts of interesting marine life under there. Even a tiny starfish. Someone came and took all the lobster. They were my pets. I fed them. We never would have eaten them. I sometimes wish I wasn't such an animal lover.:(
Tomorrow is another fill. I actually look forward to it because Jeff and I make a day of it, driving up to Miami. We will go out to lunch and shop some. I get to go to stores like Costco and Wild Oats that we don't have down here in the Keys. Might even get a new shirt or two.
XXXOOO
Tricia0 -
Thanks Jasmine! I've still got my little itsy bitsy teeny weenie afghan square!! I wear it like a medal!!!
Thanks in advance for sending me the website!
I have so much to say to so many about this weekend....but like you, it was wonderful to meet you and so many of our sisters!!!!!!!!!!
I'm pooped (no pun intended Marsha!!)
Hugs and goodnight!
Denise0 -
Liz!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you made it home safe. I have to admit when you told me you were in Pennsylvania, I was a little concerned. That seemed to be in the wrong direction but since Alice was with me, I knew that couldn't be possible. <big wink>

Gus you changed your Avatar. I like - does it have a story too?
Shokk, Vicki - cool drink, Pina Colada - oh, yes whatever.
WildJan, yes, I did have a melt down - more ways than one today.
Kristen - hope your first day in the new position went well. I am sure you will do a fantastic job.
Nicki - good luck on the job interview Wed. Once you get there and can ask questions too, if you still want it, well I'll sure say a prayer. Nicki, we all know you have a big heart and as Gina said, because you always play nurse to us and look out for us - sure don't want to see you or anyone upset. Sleep well.
Cheri, Gus - my grandson starts first grade this year too - Ethan. He didn't spend much time with me when I was doing chemo but once I got into rads, he would call early of a morning and go "nana, can you pick me up" He wanted me to come by the babysitters and didn't like to have to be there any longer than necessary. When he started K1 - he wanted to stay home and come to Nana's one day - think he gave my son a hard time and cried because he couldn't. Nana had a hard time when he started K1 too. Oh, boy, the years pass quickly. It is hard to believe that school will start soon - have you noticed it always gets so very hot as school starts. I feel so sorry for the kids. I think there are still a few schools not air conditioned - we made it but the schools were designed differently and there were drafts and too we started after Labor Day.
Cheri, no unfortunately there is no warranty on the air conditioner or the compressor that went out on the pizza unit. Can't think about it again or I'll just get upset again.
At 9 pm tonight air was on and working again when hubby checked. Who knows about tomorrow though. The guy never did figure out what happened/problem. He took out some of the coolant as a guy prior to him had "added more than is recommended - 10% more" to get it working one other time. He told me then and this guy told me today - to much. I don't know if it was REALLY the problem but it is working. As hot as it was in there, it will take all night to cool down.
Elaine, hello. Drop in often and get to know us - we come in all varities!!!
Melody, hi to you also. Hope you come back.
Odalys, we really need rain but nothing in site all week. Supposed to be even hotter here tomorrow. Margaret told me someone had already designed that bra - just my luck, day late and a dollar short!!!! I feel for Amy going to Atlanta.
I'm tired - and hot - and grumpy!!!! Going to turn in.
Rest well, my sweet sisters.
LOL, Brenda0
